I just wanted to thank USPS. I ordered medication from Oregon and was told it would be to my door Monday August 28,2023 by 9pm.
I ran out of my meds Friday August 25,2023. Then God answered a prayer, and my package was delivered 3 days earlier than the USPS Site said it would be delivered.
I don't know anyone who works at USPS, but I would like to thank every employee from drivers to sorters, God Bless you all for the wonderful job you are doing!
My stamps were ordered 2/23 and here it is 2/27 and they aren't here. This happened the first time I ordered them too. CONVENIENCE as a feature of ordering them online NO LONGER EXISTS when I have to go buy some because their delivery is inexcusably late!
They are terriable constant rude mail carriers biased supervisors who take carriers side and turn it around against the customer. Some letters just disappear and never found.
I have had multiple items damaged shipping through the post office. Even with insurance they come up with excuses to not pay for items. Save your money and insurance money and send it through UPS.
I overnighted an important package to insure prompt and insured delivery. It has been sitting in Maryland since I mailed it. And you wonder why people have abandoned the USPS. NEVER and I do mean NEVER again!

THE POSTAL OFFICE WORKER GAVE A RECEIPT WITH INDIA ADDRESS BUT THE PACKAGE LANDED IN INDONESIA. WHEN I SPOKE TO THE AGENT SHE WAS RUDE... AND CLAIMED TO BE A HUMAN ERROR... WHICH IS FREQUENT IN USPS AS THERE IS NO LIABILITY... IT WAS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAPPENED TO ME. I WILL NOT SHIP WITH USPS IN FUTURE! PLEASE BE CAREFUL ITS WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY...
I have had to deal with my packages and my sons packages being returned to sender and marked Addressee Unknown or Moved- No Forwarding Address even though we have lived at our apartment complex for over 7 years now. People who are hired to only deliver parcels are the ones scanning my packages this way. My postal carrier is awesome and will go and find my package and personally bring it to my door whenever this occurs. But I first have to call the 800 # and speak with an agent to make a complaint which then gets sent to my local post office. You cannot call the local post office anymore, since DeJoy was appointed. When you call it says you are being transferred to an operator but the phone just rings and rings, no one ever picks up. I once stayed on the line for 30 minutes to see if anyone would pick up and no one ever did.
Also, even though they have a chat line on informed delivery, know one has ever actually joined the chat when I have tried to connect this way. Usually the chat line is unavailable for the majority of the time. So, getting an issued solved rapidly is often a joke. I have been having issues like this for over years and it still keeps happening. The FBI is supposedly dealing with an issue involving my Informed Delivery account as well because someone has tried to redirect our packages elsewhere. Yet, I have not been contacted by them as to what is going on with the case. Uber frustrating and I am over it!
Returned early while mail delivery on hold. Initiated a hold cancellation on line with request to deliver mail. Four days later still no mail deliver called moan customer service with no resolution. Called local post offices 3 times with no answer. Called usps mail annex 4 times with no answer. Went to local post office and was told mail being held at usps annex and to call there ( a second number was provided) called twice with no answer. To date NO MAIL DELIVERY AND NO WAY TO PICK UP MAIL. Would give a zero rating if I could.
If I could rate them lower, I would. This $#*! is ridiculous because I filed a claim and now I can't get a refund when THEY lost my 70$ package that I've been trying to get from them for 2 MONTHS. This is $#*!ty customer service.
Incompetence is par for the course for the USPS. Someone please explain to me how a package to be delivered to an address in Dallas, TX on April 19 arrives in the Coppell, TX distribution center on April 18 in the early AM and is then shipped to the Birmingham, AL distribution center later that same day? The delivery date on the USPS website changes from April 19 to 20 to it'll arrive at some date in the future...if you're lucky. No sense of urgency, no recourse for customers relying on on-time delivery, just embrace the suck and excessive delays due to sheer incompetence, and be grateful if and when your package arrives. LOATHSOME, DETESTABLE, INCOMPETENCE!
USPS has lost quite a bit of my mail, including MONEY, CHECKS, and, MEDICATIONS. I have lost literally $$hundreds of dollars in cash and fees for replacement money orders and lost medications. The employees have never been polite when I file missing mail report. I can't understand why this has happened to me so many times.
If I can give a 0 Star rating I would this mail company sucks don't ever use them there always late on deliveries and won't pay you back for it and they always overcharge if you can use FedEx or ups even Amazon I wouldn't be surprised if an Uber can get my package here faster then USPS
The US postal service started back in 1775 and over the years it have become a separate entity under the US government, that is the background. At our home we have had many problems with the postal service, wrong packages and mail, missing mail. Since President Trump made the statement to defund them, I was amazed, they got even worse. For this reason I am under the belief this poor response from the postal service is intentional. Part of the reason we have a difficult time with mail delivery is because of the equality in position rather than the top candidate. I really don't care if the entire population of the US Postal service is Asian, or Hispanic or Black or White or any other color you like, BUT they should ALL be chosen due to their testing score, to ensure we are being given the best. Right now that is not the case, in fact we have the just the opposite in some cases. The other problem is they have been given too much and expect more. They have the best healthcare, very good wage and the work is not hard but still they complain. It is time to defund the government operated postal service and give it to the free market so that we can start to get our mail on time, undamaged and from some company that will take responsibility for actions or lack of actions from employees.
Defund and Replace--sooner than later
Sent a certified mail letter on 6/11/21. No tracking info was provided until 6/27 which told me it's on it's way to its destination. My local PO had no idea of what was happening to the letter. GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO STAY OUT OF BUSINESS! They screw-up and corrupt everything they touch.
Just spent 45 minutes in line to ship a package. 12/18/23 10:50 AM at the West Lafayette Indiana branch. During that time 4 people were serviced by the "one"! Employee working! That's correct only one counter was open out of 3! During my time there 2 people pulled out of the line because of the ridiculously long wait time, I was the third. With 10 others people in front of me and 4 people per 45 minutes to be served it would take another 2 hours the get serviced! West Lafayette has a population of 45,000 people and the postal service can only scrape up one per on a Monday during the busiest time of the year to work? That is beyond pathetic service! If there were 3 people working and the line was that long I could be more understanding and would most likely not leave such a negative review. I stopped by the Saturday before this and when I saw the line I just turned around and left. I didn't even get through the second door so I couldn't see how many people were working the counter, now I'm wondering if it was for the same reason. I will never use the US Postal Service again! I'm already using automatic withdrawal for monthly bills and will now use UPS or FED-EX for packages. Seeing the 1 1/2 star rating for the USPS I would safely say I'm not the only one thinking their service is pathetic. Good bye USPS!
Fairly often when I get a package sent in through USPS I often get messages such as this one: "Your item could not be delivered on May 26,2022 at 12:51 pm in CANADA due to the addressee not available at time of delivery, It is being held while the addressee is notified."

This does not make sense to me, It is a tactic often used to cover up poor service, as the address I use to ship my stuff at, IS my home address and I have been living there for over 30 years, so how could the address not be available!

I have a few packages that I for the life of me just can't receive from this postal company. I am seeing the status saying these items are delivered to the POST OFFICE yet when go to pick up item, ITEMS are NOT in the mail box & NEITHER WAS IT GIVEN AT THE DESK!

I tried calling their phone number and not a $#*! am I getting through! Emailing is another big problem cause I can't get an email address to contact company!
I messaged them on facebook, however, got a response and I felt like I was actually getting somewhere, BUT when went and picked up item, 2 items was found and 3 are still MISSING!

I had to rate a one star because it wouldn't let me give it no stars. I sent a simple birthday card in an envelope with a regular postage stamp to my sister who only lives in the next town east of me, and she didn't get it. Called the USPS and since there is no tracking on it, they said they could be of no assistance. So the birthday card AND the $50 gift card are just GONE… Thanks a lot USPS. Never sending ANYTHING via USPS again.
After having my packages returned to the city I sent them from (I moved across the country) no one gave me the information I needed. No one told me steps to figure out my situation and after a month I still haven't received my two packages. I paid a ridiculous amount of money to send them, and the last woman I spoke to at the LA office of customer affairs was TERRIBLE. She flatly sad, "sorry" after telling me I was basically screwed and would be unable to help me then just said "bye". USPS has NEVER ONCE delivered something to me that was on time or wasn't damaged by the end. I could write a novel about my experience with them and you wouldn't be able to find a single positive word. They've consistently lied to me, been rude to me, hung up on me, and were overall super unhelpful.
If there is 0 star I would chosen it.

Answer: I totally understand what you are dealing with. That's a really good question that I wish would get answered.
Answer: They sell them! Seriously! Packages or bundles of multiple packages are typically auctioned off when they have been labeled as "Undeliverable" for a certain amount of time, 30-60 days I presume. Personally, I believe they sabotage any and all items they can so they won't have to deal with it & packages are intentionally marked "undeliverable" when the mail carrier is either too stupid or too lazy to get it in the recipient hands. That is my opinion that I formed from too much pointless research on USPS. BUT, The packages are really auctioned off! That is a fact, not my personal opinion.
