When items are on sale, it's usually a good deal. BOGOs and buy one get one half off is great. Especially if they are items I use frequently, or are expensive at the regular prices. It's a hit or a miss with packaging. Mostly not enough bubble wrap is wrapped around products in glass containers and makeup palettes. The only thing that saves serious breakage of stuff, is because my orders were put in little shipping boxes, so the items I ordered did not have much round to be bouncing around the sides of the boxes.
As a former rewards customer for many, many years - I tried returning some cosmetic gifts for upgraded products without a receipt. The snooty Ulta manager offered me a $5.00 credit - she said the policy is to offer the lowest price ever paid for the products --- ridiculous! Returned the products to another store & received a $65 credit & bought $150 worth of new cosmetics. Ulta lost a good customer & poor "word of mouth" review.
I walked right in and fell in love with everything, it's kinda pricey but pretty much worth it! The staff is great and they, ve got everything to help make your experience nice, easy, affordable, and of course, totally worth it.
I love Ulta, but they are quite pricey. I can go to my local beauty supply store and find my nail polish about $2-$3 cheaper. Not sure about big ticket items. I did get my flat iron CHI from Ulta and it was a good price around Christmas time. Will continue to go to Ulta for those items that my small town beauty supply store doesn't carry!
Disappointed. I went into Ulta in Albuquerque off of Paseo Del Norte last week and I was ready to drop some bills. I went in looking casual because during Covid, I wear sweats every day. I picked up a new pallet from Urban Decay and walked around looking at other stuff. The security guard and an employee kept following me around and I came very close to telling them off. I think it is rude as hell to judge someone and I will not be going back. I will go to Sephora.
Ulta is the best site for me in terms of beauty products. With sales, promos and discounts that happen at least every other day, what's not to like? I've purchased so many amazing products that I've been bumped up to Platinum status which comes with some amazing perks like 5X the points, birthday discounts and exclusive access. Plus, customer service is available in more ways than one and I've never had an issue with a product that couldn't be fix.
I am from a more established age and shopping on the web isn't something that falls into place without a hitch for me nor is it something I'm OK with however when I discovered this organization it gave me confidence in the entire requesting item online issue I was having. Above all else, they have a telephone number so you can call them, of which is actually what I did. Their hours are restricted and they were not open when I called so I left a message thinking about whether they would truly return to me.

I love shopping auto.com you can find just about anything you are looking for and a lot of times they have online only sales which are completely worth the time to go on and look for something that you need because let's face it ladies there's always something that we need especially when they sell make up and other accessories to beautify yourself but I love auto and I actually just got done shopping them buying acrylic storage containers to hold all my make up my lip liners and such and they were such a good price I really couldn't beat it

I started using the app before I ever stepped foot in a store because there wasn't one in my area. But there is now and I could spend HOURS in there and have. The ambiance of the whole store layout is just perfect and draws you in. The app also has great exclusive sales and the free membership for points has so many extra perks too! I suggest using the app, where you can live yet on any and all makeup they sell on your phone and get a feel for what you want before you head to the store. I've also used their salon services and had my hair colored twice with fantastic results! All in all, a great company for all things beauty.
I tried to order the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched face moisturizer for the online promotion, they were out of stock so I called customer services and although the person i was speaking to was very nice, i ask to be connected to a manager which i was and she said that they could not issue a rain check on any of the items on the 21 days steal deals. There were stores near me that had this item they would not honor the 50% off. This is an awful policy of Ulta and a big reflection on what they think of there consumers. I will now pck up my products from Sephora.
Placed an order online. Was told my card could not be accepted. Got ahold of someone and was told the site was down and try again in an hour. Tried again and same thing happened. Call the credit card company and was told Ulta charged me both times.Its been 7 days of me calling them for answers. Now I'm being told that even though none of the orders went through my card was still charged. And it will take 5 to 6 business days to refund. That makes no sense. How was I charged but there was nothing ordered? And they were not helpful in trying to fix this either. I basically got the run around.
Absolutely a horrible experience. I ordered my order months ago, two products were missing, and one was broken. I reached out and they said they were going to resend out the broken and missing products. They never did.
I reached out yet again, and they finally refunded me for the broken item and the lip glosses that were missing. This is the second time I've had an order completely messed up / broken from Ulta shipping. At this point, I want to delete my account, and I will not ever be shopping at Ulta again after a customer of 20 years.
I order from Sephora way more often than Ulta anyways, because of their superior shipping and the ease of their customer service. Ulta has lost a customer for life. This is a horrible experience, and no way to treat your guest especially after they reach out repeatedly to correct your mistakes.
Somebody definitely dropped the ball and they could've done more to keep me as a customer Their points system sucks anyways, and there's really no incentive to shop there.
I enjoy shopping at Ulta.com. I live in Manhattan where the local Ulta is always crowded, has long lines, and frequently runs out of product. I've actually placed a few orders from my phone while in the store. I am always able to find what I need on site without hassle, and to compare products without the overwhelm of the store. It there is something that I want right away I can order online and pick it up in store. Otherwise it arrives in 3 to 5 days, always will free shipping. If I don't like what I purchased online, Ulta lets me return it to the store.
The only downside for Ulta (in store and online) is that the product line selection is somewhat limited. For instance, I went to purchase setting lotion recently and they simply don't carry the product. They also don't carry Brazilian Keratin products.

Answer: It's not that the prices are particularly higher than anywhere else, it's that the products they sell are very high end and nowhere except like Marshall's etc has any of those brands for less. So I'd say yes they're all worth the money. Some brands are better than others depending on personal preference but they also have a rewards program that's free :)
