The Ladders Reviews Summary

The company has garnered a mixed reputation among customers, with notable strengths in its product offerings, particularly the Apply4Me feature, which many users found to be efficient and time-saving. Customer service is frequently praised, especially for the responsiveness and professionalism of representatives like Christine and Monica, who effectively resolve issues and provide support. However, concerns persist regarding the lack of transparency surrounding the suppression list and auto-renewal policies, which have led to frustrations among subscribers. Overall, while the company excels in service quality and user experience, addressing transparency and communication issues could enhance customer trust.

Hi Charles-

Thank you for your feedback! We've been hard at work resolving these email abuse issues over the past several years and are excited that our users are becoming less and less fatigued with our email correspondence and we continue to optimize. Not only is TheLadders a scam, it has been written up by Harvard University as a case of no value and scam. See HBR link below.

They never have any valid job postings for execs - in the rare event ifthey do, they can be found on other free sites like simplyhired. Not worth it!

Hi Joe-

Thanks for your feedback and sharing that 2008/2009 study by Harvard! You'll see in the report that, early in Ladders existence, "we [didn't] accept money from hiring companies". A lot has changed since 2009- especially the way we source and vet jobs. Aside from the obvious- our jobs pay $100K and above and we have a continually-improving vetting process around that- we've built lasting relationships with companies and recruiters that have a vested interest in interviewing and hiring via our jobsite, leading us to have more engaged users on both sides of the house (jobseekers and recruiters). We are excited to have turned the ship around and hope you give us another shot next time you're looking for a job! We're happy to offer you a free month of our premium subscription for your valuable feedback. Cheers!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY... FRAUD! Bait and switch as they do not have many of the jobs they post. They post old jobs over and over... that never existed. The real jobs they do have are advertised all over the internet for free! You can Google Bad reviews all of the net for the Ladders. They have no jobs but they want to write resumes for you for 250.00 and charge 90+ in fees for nothing.

Hi Lane-

Thanks for your feedback- we understand and have been working so hard to improve this user experience over the past decade. In fact, we are working to lift our paywall so jobs can be viewed for free on our site- that way, our premium offer will be focused around our Apply4Me product- a tool used to help automate the time-consuming act of completing job applications. We've also been diligently working at improving our job monitoring to ensure that stale jobs are updated or removed within hours/days. We also provide many more free services to ensure every tier of member is getting max value. You can head to our site to check out the following free perks:

- 73 free downloadable and editable resume templates
- 73 free sets of behavioral interview questions and answers
- Free resume rewrite service
- Free automated resume review (typically looks for grammar and other syntax errors)
- Free expert articles with career advice
- Free Applicant Tracking System (ATS) analysis of your resume (AKA a peak into what your resume looks like in a recruiters' database)

We hope you give us another shot. Cheers!

I went on Ladders because I was actively looking for a job. I paid for their premium service and paid I think 30 bucks for 3 months. This site is geared for executives, so it may or may not be the headhunter for you, however - it's legit, no scams.
After reading about other headhunter sites I am glad I had no trouble with Ladders.
