The order took a little bit longer than I had expected website said product was available. But it still arrived in time for my need. But I understand things are a little difficult now. I will still buy from them again.
On hold forever! Never got to speak with anyone. Several items were backordered and it's been 30 days. I need these items and want to be sure they are cancelled because I'm getting them elsewhere.

There are incomplete descriptions on a lot of items that have very important (to me) details such as lure length, sinking vs. floating, hook sizes on premade rigs, etc. I think this stuff could be had from the manufacturer and just pasted in the description.

I called to get some questions answered before placing an order. The sales person had some great advice about the type of fishing rod I was looking for. I'm very happy with the purchase. The rod was shipped in a long heavy cardboard tube with plenty of bubble wrap protection.
Order was confirmed 4-1-2020 at 8:58 am. Shipped 4-2-2020 at 11:30 am. Paid for 2day shipping. Did not get order until 4-6-2020. Active tracking number was never provided. Could never reach a live person at call center. Only heard message, " Your call is very important to. Please remain on the line. Very poor customer service.
I had already sent a thank you email for finalizing the back-ordered piece of my original purchase. Tackle Direct is one of my favorite on-line equipment merchandisers, and the customer service I received was totally efficient, courteous, and as it should be.

Customer service folks are there to please. Initial quality problems with products received, but the guys there made a valiant effort to get it right. They even called me back when they said they would - GREAT customer service! They understood my concerns because they boat AND fish!
I placed an order for several items on 15 May and to date have not received any items, however my credit card has been charged for the items, can you expedite my items it has been over one month, which should be plenty of time to ship!
Tried calling tackle direct on this order. I got a recorded message saying we are no longer taking phone calls you must email. I emailed. I never received a response to my email. Unless something changes for the positive at Tackle Direct, I plan to shop elsewhere.
I live in South Africa. The prices is a bit steep, mainly due to our currency's exchange rate compared to the US Dollar.
No further complaints. Very happy with the service and products. I would highly reccomend Tackle Direct.
Pro - Good prices compared to local bait & tackle shop. Ordering and delivery was good.
Con- The # 7 hooks on the double rigs were rusting after one day use in saltwater. The Gamatsu hooks that I use for making my own rigs do not show rust for at least a week of saltwater fishing.
It's nice to find someone who carries good quality items in correct sizes fit to fish with. Seems other companies go with Nothing but new design products and stop handle the old or original items. Even when we as a fish group of our own have proven 6 to 1 hook ups on fish using the original over new... thank yall for keeping up with the new but not giving up on the older products. I will continue to order from here as well as 6 other friends have also started doing so...
Inaccuracies in what products are "currently" available led to come confusion and frustration on my end. I did end up getting useable products with my credit, but was "teased" you had something that has become rare and thought I lucked out. Not the end of the world...

Took 2 weeks to ship a product from one of Tackle Direct's outside vendors. Called multiple times and was told it was coming in the next day even though it wasn't. However when ordering items that are in stock they ship immediately and get to you fast.
It was great to actually get what I ordered without any issues or delays. I know with the current situation in the world tackle distributors are limited with product but receiving my order quickly was a pleasant surprise. THANK YOU!
I liked the description of the product in your website, how you had a model comparison chart with features. It was somewhat challenging to login with my account, and I think I wound up having to make my purchase outside of my account as a guest. That's the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5.
I bought this belt for a gift for my husband who loves to fish. Not only was it a great price, but the quality is wonderful. He wears it every day to work and it has replaced an older worn belt that was similar. He is well pleased, so I am too!
I am happy with the selection and service. I find the pages well marked so I know when a product is pre-sale, out of stock or in-stock. It is nice to know the number of some in-stock items, and these are listed.
That is a plus versus other sites. Except where there are close-outs (and there are many) the prices are retail. O.K., I know what I am getting. Service is solid, even while this team is working from home. Hiccup free, maybe not all the time, but give them a call and they will try to work it out. Good brands, good selection, good service.
Answer: Yes, other companies I have used for online purchases are much better with communications and customer service.
