Web site is very slow and fails when trying to use PayPal. Web site is very disappointing. Hope the sales service is better.
Items took a long time to arrive due to availability. Update communications were non existent but when I contacted a representative they were very helpful on updating me on where I stood in the que. Would suggest you do the dame with emails.
Purchase a variety of items and all items arrived in tact. The process was easy to follow
It would be more convenient if I was told the items I wanted to order were in stock, before I paid for them. A simple not available would be helpful. I would rather get that message than one later saying they are out of stock.
Next is wait for items but since we are on lock down i cant go fishing any way. This was no problem to me do to the fact that we are on lock down. I've been pleasantly surprised with the professionalism and proficiency of Tackle Direct. As far as online shopping, they've done an excellent job. If I call about a product, so far they've had the answers; if I call about an order, they find out what is happening. Their prices are generally competitive. What more could I reasonably want? Once I decide I need something, their site is the first I check.

Easy ordering, although the product I wanted wasn't in stock they were able to get my order fulfilled through another supplier. Emailed customer service once for status update received a quick reply, order arrived shortly.

Ordering is always easy. Item arrive in a timely fashion. Tackledirect keeps me informed via email of the entire order/shipping process from order received, to shipped, to almost arrived, to delivered.
Could not use your satisfaction survey soon after receiving the product. Your end was fine. The problem is Daiwa. Have complained to it about to Daiwa. Spare parts/ spare spools are still not available tho this reel has been sold in the U.S. for over one year. Did harass Daiwa into getting me one rebuilt spool but still want another. No luck. (Note that I bought a Ryoga 1022 from you in 2018.)
Good service despite current conditions during pandemic. Have placed a couple of orders as local tackle shops have been closed. I only wished that they had sent me some notification that my order could only be partially filled and the remainder would be shipped as soon as they could. I did received the items that were not with the initial shipment, but some sort of email or notification would have been nice. Otherwise I am satisfied with service.
Covid 19 is no excuse for the poor service Tackle Direct Has done.
Even those companies that only essential personnel show up to work and non essential still worked from home. They should have at least looked at the emails and took phone calls.
The prices and quality of various products are great. The only knock i have is there is a lot of stuff to wade through to get what you want. Searching can either be fun or tedious depending on what I'm looking for.
If possible, it might be better to group products by catch type/species/fishing location. Being out in Oregon, we fish for sea bass, lingcod, halibut, salmon and albacore tuna as the main species. Not sure if that is possible to create a filter to that degree, but it would be very helpful.
Unclear why I was unable to place desired items into cart even tho indicated they were in stock. Wanted to order a couple each #1 and #2 planers, but was unable to do so. Also would have ordered some Clarkspoons if you had a selection of colors.
I ordered a new rod and reel. The prices are very good but the shipping took forever. I still haven't received the second rod I ordered on 05/01. If I have to wait a month or more for things to be shipped I will order from a different source. If you don't have it in the warehouse the web site should say "out of stock".
Bought steel leader wire (various sizes), but not for fishing!. I use this wire for model railroading.).013,0.018 & 0.024 are used for various piping on my HO scale model trains. Easy to use (bend & cut) and also holds paint very well. I usually get the "coffee" color. (but any would do.)
I usually order by small coil in plastic "zip-lock" bags about twice a year, as I can get a lot out of 30 ft!

Experience was well overall. Items received were well packed and in perfect condition. A little slow on the reply times with customer service as I was enquiring about my order (status was not updating) and item arrived before customer service replied.
Answer: Yes, other companies I have used for online purchases are much better with communications and customer service.
