Swap.com is a great place to shop for name brands at a low cost. The clothes are in good condition.
Got what I ordered fast and it was in great condition! I will definitely buy from this site again.
MY FIRST ORDER, WAS WITH FREE SHIPPING, CAME VERY QUICKLY WITH GREAT PACKING, ALL THE JEANS ARE WONDERFUL, 3 COST 11.90 CAN'T WAIT TO ORDER AGAIN
I love this web site. It is a great way for a grandmother of 13 to get clothes.
I love swap.com. You cant beat the prices or the fast shipping. My clothes came in great condition.
I recently came across a 40% off promo code on a podcast I listen to. The podcasters use this site, themselves, and had some great things to say (of course they did). Anyway, I thought it would be great to try Swap with the promo code discount. Lets just say, Im less than satisfied.
The positives: I find the prices to be fair for items received. Its basically an online consignment shop, and the items I received were in good shape, with the exception of one pair of pants that smelled strongly of perfume (Im allergic). The package was shipped quickly and the items were packaged professionally.
The negatives: Out of 6 items, I kept one. Ill start from the beginning, though. The promo code only works on certain items, which is not obviously posted when you spend time shopping for the items you want. The search capability is okay at best. I do like that they add fabric types and lengths, but their filtering is a bit wonky. When I went to check out, only 3 items were discounted and the others ended up staying full price. Very misleading. This was not mentioned in the copy on the podcast. I went ahead and bought the items because they do have a 30 day no questions asked return policy, which is not completely true because I did fill out a questionnaire for returning. As far as the items, a few just didnt fit right, and thats to expected, but TWO items were not even remotely the correct size. I ordered mostly 2Xs and size 20s. A pair of pants was a size 4 (it wouldnt fit on my ankle). A skirt was a size 12. Both items read 20 on the website. The pair of pants smelled strongly of perfume, which I am allergic to, and as soon as I removed them from the package, the stink permeated my bedroom. Gross. I have filled out the return page (which was easy), and Ill see if the return is as easy as they claim.
They sent a 10 dollar coupon with the order, but I probably wont use it. I have been selling online for years and thought about selling with them until I received my order and searched out reviews. Seems they have some shady practices. Ill stick to local consignment shops and Poshmark.
In the end, I do not recommend them, even with a deep discount. Its more trouble than its worth.
Very pleased and will definitely order again! Great idea and a perfect way to help out moms.
Always get good feedbacks from friends when I wear d dresses bought from u guys... more power
I ordered and received my merchandise but when it did not fit it was IMPOSSIBLE to return. I will never order from them again.

My sister referred me to Swap.com after months of singing their praises to me. She loves the site and thought I would too. No. No, I do not. Turns out I HATE it. After being referred by my sister I was given a 40% off code. I placed a rather large order and could not wait for it to arrive. Note: it arrives a month later. I was even ok with this as my sister had told me that shipping time was not their strong suit. I had ordered 7 pairs of shoes/boots that I was so excited to wear. I by-passed several other reputable site retail sales knowing I would get the shoes from Swap AND at an amazing price. Well, no, I didn't. They canceled six pairs and said they were not available! Why did you sell them to me if they were not available?! They were all super nice, on-trend shoes...name brands at a significant lower price than retail. After a little internet sleuthing, I was told by a former employee that warehouse workers will pull items for packing and will just KEEP what they want and enter "unavailable" on their inventory. These would've been excellent items for resellers to turn a profit, but I wanted the shoes to actually wear. When I asked customer service (by email) for a reason, they just ignored my inquiries. Other clothing items were unavailable as well. I understand there is a pattern. The best deals with on-trend items are always canceled if you order them at a really good price. They'll be happy to send all their used, older stuff that you order. An online bait and switch, if you will. My sister had to admit that she always has items missing from her orders too. There is just no way that 6 pairs of shoes just happened to be unavailable! Even if you give them the benefit of the doubt, their inventory software must be awful. Add that to delayed shipping and it's just not that big of an incentive to shop there. Also, prices change everyday. I've seen non-sale items jump $30 or more. And with all of these issues, the company has spent tons of money on advertising their site. You simply can't escape their ads. I think they need to spend a little on actual customer service, an updated inventory system and a few honest warehouse workers. Until then, I will never go back and will happily tell everyone about my Swap.com experience.
P.S. Thredup does this kind of site right. Only one issue...their prices have become ridiculous. You can often buy an item brand new at retail much cheaper than it's listed for on Thredup. Swap.com beats their prices but do they really? Chances are you'll never see that item, so where's the great deal?
I sent in a box of 51 items. Took over 60 days to be reviewed. I was returned the shipping fee of $8.90 but they still took it out of what I sold. They rejected 10 items which most were new never been worn saying the items were stained, valued under $3 or torn. I was quite shocked since I inspected each item and washed them all before sending in. So I contacted customer service asking why and I got the generic automated response that they were undervalued etc. So what was amazing to me was they accepted items that I had worn many times yet rejected brand new clothing. They also labeled the accepted items wrong. I requested to have my rejected items returned. Well now I spent $4.99 on top of the $8.90 to ship them back. Well I get my items and every single item is torn, stitching ripped out of hems, holes where it looks like someone used a scissor on it, bleach stains and one shirt looked like someone took hold of it and ripped the v-neck apart. I was so upset! I contacted Matt Flores after many attempt to contact customer service with no response. I did not hear back from him for 2 days. Tells me he will look into it. A day later he says no one tampered with my items. They must've gotten damaged in shipping or they must have a horrible employee. Damaged in shipping? How can that happen in a box? He said I would be receiving $40 for my troubles in a few days on Friday afternoon. I ended up requesting all the items that were accepted be returned to me at that time. I did receive the $40 from them that Friday night but whoever ruined my items is a horrible person. I would never ever send in items like that and expect them to be accepted! So no I will never buy or sell from here again! I'm glad I was given the $40 but I still have items that are damaged. So damaged they had to be thrown away. Some were even my kids clothes. That made me sad someone ruined them.
One other problem I had was twice items I bought, once arrived, were the wrong size. They mislabeled them on their site. A pair of Capri pants I bought from them I noticed a week later that someone had sewed a hole that was in them in the seem with black thread and the pants are grey! So they accepted this item, sold it to me and rejected perfectly good clothing? I think they don't pay attention. They don't care and will always reject items whether new or not. They screw you with the shipping and fees. I sold 15 items and never made a dime! It's a waste of time and they will not stay in business running it this way.
Wow! swap.com is saving me a lot of money on clothes for me and my kids...
SWAP.COM IS AMAZING... GREAT BUYS, FAST SHIPPING, GOOD QUALITY ITEMS.
I WILL SHOP HERE AGAIN AND AGAIN. CHECK IT OUT, I'M SURE YOU WILL LOVE IT TOO.
I have ordered several things with tags for my Grandchildren and I was very satisfied.
I have bought some women tops and toddler boys clothing and love everything! Perfect condition
Amazing deals and I love that I can get skirts for $3. What a great deal. I am now addicted.
I gave them a five star rating. I thoroughly enjoyed my shopping experience.
Don't sell your stuff with Swap.com its the biggest scam i have ever seen! I sent in a huge box of clothes with sooo many things in it, all of which was name brand; childrens place, old navy, american eagle, jordan shoes. They only accepted about 4 things, which i think is about enough to make my money back on the shipping cost and to make them some money. I seen things on their site for sale that were in worse condition than mine! Also, I think they do this in hopes that you would just donate the stuff so they can sell your stuff any way with out letting you make money on them! Bullllll crap! I sent in several pairs of american eagle jeans that were damn near brand new! I never even got the chance to wear any of them and they didnt accept them! They said my stuff had holes and stains and i know for fact that my stuff did NOT because I thoroughly went through it all and i even threw away the stuff that looked worn or had a hole or stain! I know for fact I can sell this stuff and get rid of it and now I am wishing I hadn't sent it to swap because it damn near took the full 15 business days for them and now I got to wait for them to ship it back. Also on top of that in the picture of my "Reject" pile it doesnt even look like all of my stuff! I better get all of my stuff back or these people are in for it! I have it written down on paper exactly what i sent to them.
I told sooo many family and friends about Swap.com before I knew about this scam! Now i will quickly run and tell them otherwise before they too get scammed. Also after selling my stuff I was going to turn around and buy from swap.com for my kids... well not now! I dont care what they got that I want I will not be contributing any more money to these people! Maybe if you treated your sellers good you would have more buyers in return! Just saying!
DONT SELL AT SWAP. COM ---- DONT CONTRIBUTE TO THESE CON ARTISTS!

Answer: I have only placed one order so far. I ordered 10 blouses. I returned 5, due to size issues. All 10 blouses were nice, but 5 did not fit quite right due to different manufacturer's. You need to get an RMA # for returns. I was promptly refunded my money for the 5 blouses. I would order again in the future. I am not aware of any return quantity restrictions. Hope this helps.
Answer: If you want to sell clothes, all the information is on their website. Basically, they get a percentage and then they pay you thru an existing PayPal account that you set up.
Answer: Hi Patricia, We are on about a 55-60 day delay in processing inbound shipments. When your items are processed, you will be notified via email that they are ready to be priced. Have you sent an email to our support team at assistance@swap.com yet? A member of our team can look up your account information and give you a better idea of exact when you can expect to see your items. Thank you, Lauren Swap.com Support Manager
Answer: Same here, I sent a box in June and have received nothing nothing saying it was accepted or rejected absolutely nothing. I've sent 5 emails and nothing. I will be contacting the better business bureau as well.
Answer: I don't think so. I've sold and from my experience it varies. The things that I thought would sell first, haven't sold yet. It varies by what people are looking for at the time. I've bought all different seasons at random times. I buy by what's a great deal. When selling, group like items together. I've noticed multiple things sell first.
Answer: Hi Jo, That is correct. You can return items that do not fit as long as you request the return within 30 days. We will send you a pre-paid UPS shipping label to send back your return free of charge. Once the return is received, we will refund your card within five (5) business days. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at assistance@swap.com. We are happy to help! Best, Matt
Answer: There's no way for them to go over prices. They have to see the items and determine from going over it, if it's acceptable, once it's accepted, then you have to determine the price you want to sell it for. You could try searching on their site for similar items and see what they are priced at. I did notice when pricing my items that I'd get a little notice with recommended prices, which was very helpful. I didn't have a good experience selling but many others have. Make sure you take pictures of your items, that's very important. I appreciated that their site is set up to allow you to take back your items if you changed your mind about selling them. I'm in the process of getting back my items. Hopefully it works out well and I get all my items back.

Hello Missy,
Thank you for your review of your recent shopping experience. Some of our discount codes do have exclusions, however, we apologize for any confusion caused by the exclusions. Some item tags do have European sizing, such as size 20-30 women's jeans. To ensure you are seeing plus size clothing, select the "plus size" category size type filter when shopping, and you will only see plus size clothing. I have also submitted your feedback to our developing team. As a growing and developing company, we are always looking to improve!
We hope you give Swap.com another try!
