Some time ago I had bought 200.00 Worth of vitamins and minerals, and I have basically finished them all. I am over 60 yrs old and always take notice of the effects that they have or dont have. Well, none of their products worked or was what it said on the bottles. Others I know have tried them and have been dissatisfied aswell. Looks like a corrupt business. Dont buy from them.
Swansons was a reputable company up until a few years ago, when founder Lee Swanson retired and sold it to sharks. Now they often ship products that are expired or soon to be expired. I bought 20 bottles of their "Deal of the Day" at the end of June. They all expired August 1st! When I called the CSR apologized for my inconvenience. I told her that this was no inconvenience, it was outright fraud. Of course there was no supervisor available come to the phone.

Swanson Vitamin D3 capsules are the best since they aren't softgels and I'm allergic to fish so no fishoils. I love these. My husband takes Magnesium and Swanson Chelated Magnesium doesn't give him gastric distress like every other Magnesium supplement he's taken and he has tried them all. Great supplier of supplements.
I Have used Swanson for many years but when I changes credit cards it was a big problem. They tried to charge my previous credit card a few since they evidently tried to charge the old account. I checked my order which had the new account and emailed them they were wrong in trying to charge my previous account. Their response was that I should delete the previous card and make the new card my default, which I did when I entered the new card and that is what was shown in the order.
I will never do business with a company that screws up and doesn't acknowledge it but instead blames the customer. I will never use Swanson and would rather die if they were the only company on earth. Thanks for wasting my time and blaming me.

I made a purchase of 5 items the most expensive@$49.99 retail. The items were purchased via a phone order pursuant to an e-mail coupon for 25% of my entire order.
When I received the order and enclosed invoice the above item was billed at full price of $49.99 instead of $37.50 I confirmed the price of $37.50 with the sales agent at time of purchase.
I've called three times each time I am in cue for more than 30 minutes until I just hang up. This long hold time is no accident. The order line is fast and quick to take your money, but Customer Service is slow to non-existent to address a problem.
Have ordered from Swanson's in the past. Received a VIP letter for a "Sitewide 25% discount". Put over $300 worth of product in my cart, entered VIP code, and discount was only 20.00. I called customer service as the math was not working out and was told of the many exclusions and exceptions... so much for "Sitewide". No order and don't appreciate false advertising.

Bought a four month supply of a vitamin, third bottle's contents were covered in a brown powder. Turns out the container was cracked and the contents are covered in tiny shards of glass. Being that I bought four months worth and I didn't open the bottles until needed all customer service told me was it's past the 30 day refund period, and that I should just throw away the damaged item...

I seek and compare products via Google and Swanson often has the lowest price shown. But... as you continue to do this, the PREVIOUS item prices change upward and cost more. It was explained to me today by a supervisor that you can only have ONE PROMOTION per order AND THESE GOOGLE PRICES ARE CONSIDERED BY THE COMPANY TO BE A PROMOTION -- so that each new item you put into your cart increases the cost of the one before. Also, if you use a PROMOTIONAL CODE, this will cause your order to go up also (again, only one promotion per order...). By any reasonable person's viewpoint, this is a SCAM. It's extremely confusing and the customer has no way of knowing that the Google price listed is "promotional". Don't waste your money, breath, or time on this corrupt company.
I clicked on an email from Swanson offering 25% off through the end of the day. I ordered 5 items and each appeared in my cart with the 25% off price. I placed the order and the receipt showed a higher charge for each item than I had been shown. I called Swanson and was told I had responded to a 15% off promotion. There was no mention of 15% off during the entire web session. So the prices are fine until you place the order, then Swanson converts them to higher prices, assuming you won't notice the difference. I have seen this several times before so I'm careful to check the receipts.

It used to be easy to get a refund for a product you did not want. Customer service was easy to get in touch with and the list goes on and on. Chatted with Swanson Customer service to process refund on 05/20/2019. Kept waiting on chat and got p***ed off and hung up. In today's day and age, NO ONE should have to wait over 10 days to receive an order. This company stinks and I for one, will never EVER order from them again. I ended up ordering from Vitacost for about the same price and received excellent customer service. Stay away from Swanson unless you like to get frustrated.

They delayed my order for over a week, stating I had to give a authorization code for the payment to leave my account, however they did not inform me of this. They said an email was sent but it was not. The payment was clearly showing as left my account on my online banking, however I had to call my bank to obtain the code anyway or they would not ship what I had already paid for. I provided them with this code after calling my bank and they debited my account again! So now they have taken 2 lots of payments from my account. I paid for the quickest express delivery which was meant to be 1-3 working days. The order was placed on the 01/05 and still my products haven't arrived. I called and have been on hold for 20+ minutes. I used the online chat to try and resolve this and was told that the 2nd payment was an authorization and it will be returned to me when the status of my order is shipped. My order status has been "shipped" for the last 2 days and still the funds have not come back. A payment authorization should surely only be for a small percentage and not the total. This means that their business model is take 2 x the amount of money from your account every time you place an order and mask it as an authorization which doesn't get returned to your account. I asked them to simply send 1 of the payments back to me and they said they do not have to do that and suggested I take it up with my bank! I have no idea what the hell is going on, i am overdrawn and about to miss a payment deadline for my credit card, this will incur a charge and void my interest free period on my card causing every months repayments until my card is cleared to increase by over 100 ponds. I have submitted 2 emails so far over the last 2 days and both are unanswered. Absolutely shocking company. DO NOT USE.

Fourth, Out of Stock (Cannot sell this product) = Only allow to order "Swanson's product" = Cannot cancel (If we need a refund after receive and returning) Finally, i can discount some of Swanson's Products.
