Won't let us sell hand sanitizer to a hospital. In the middle of a pandemic. All because they can't remove a hold on our account in order for us to pay our supplier.
More than morally reprehensible, these people ought to burn in hell.
Very poor service we open an account and send a link to our first client to take payment from the card. Client paid with a card and payment was easily charged after they asked us for a few company registration documents we provide documents and stripe reply us they can no longer support our business now we are waiting for payment in our account they are not transferring to us and not even refunding to cardholder they are not supporting business they are trying to destroy a business.
The stripe treats us like a slave owner treats slaves, which is very unacceptable, in all the disputed cases that arise, we have suffered huge losses, money has been seized by the bank, and our bicycles have been taken by criminals We got scammed, and stripe is now withholding our money for no reason. I am totally disappointed by stripe, the worst third-party payment platform in this world. FKU
Stripe gave the customer the opportunity to pay for the product through the e-store. After the buyer paid and the amount for the item appeared in the seller's stripe system, the seller shipped the item. After two orders, Stripe refused to cooperate due to their internal procedures and the seller no longer has the item. Also in the fourth month does not recover the amount of €200 for the sold item.
I have been trying to connect with Stripe for 2 days. The response I get are all generic emails which did not address my problem. While there is a photo of a woman apparently on the phone with Stripe, those of us at the bottom can NOT get ahold of Stripe via phone. Phone contact is simply not available. One of their emails threatened to take away their service if I didn't fill out certain information by 10/30/23 when I had ALREADY supplied this information. Beyond frustrating.
I use both Stripe and Paypal. Stripe has a 7 day payout delay until you provide the ID. When the ID is uploaded and verified, Stripe says they'll payout in normal timeframes - but they do not. When an ID is uploaded they keep the payout schedule at 7 days which means with Stripe you'll actually be paid 1 week after you receive payment. Paypal have the funds cleared within 1/2-1 day typically.
I don't know why Stripe claim to offer 1-2 day settlements but they do not.
I personally have never had any issues with stripe. It is a good tool to implement a single payment. I implemented it in one hour and it collects money on my website. I think it is a good solution for single payment as here:
https://certification-iso9001.com/packs/
But looks complicated when making a subscription.
I set up my Stripe account in May 2022. I sent 3 invoices to my client and they immediately paid it. Suddenly Stripe blocked my account without any reason. All the money is still stuck with them. They have neither refunded to my client nor sending it to my account. It's fine if they don't want to do business with me but atleast process all the stuck funds. I have been trying to contact customer support for more than a month without any response. I have no idea what to do and if I would be getting my money back. What a fraud!
I am a student in poland and had recently developed a payment gateway which would allow me to send money from my home country to my Polish bank account. I followed all the steps they told me and they approved my account and allowed me to start transacting. My rent money was sent through this system and was given 7 days for payout.as my7 days was almost up and from nowhere they suspending my account? And the money which was sent has been held for 4 months. My rent is due on in 3 days and now they have left me in a very difficult situation. I am now stranded in a foreign land.
We never heard of Stripe until the sent our company a 1099K. We never set up an account with Stripe and tried, unsuccessfully to find out who set up the account in our company name. Stripe went above and beyond to protect the fraudulent party. We were told that we would have to file a report with consumer fraud and our local police department, which we did. After submitting both reports to Stripe they gave us a generic letter to send to the IRS. They will not give us the name of the person who set up the fraudulent account or tell us where the funds reported on the 1099K were sent. They are extremely difficult to deal with.
I updated my website on my account to a new DBA. When they saw that I sell coaching with an intuitive/psychic approach they canceled my amount immediately. I am considered high risk even though I've been a customer selling this stuff for years with no problems or chargebacks. Overnight left me with dozens of client payments subscriptions to deal with and switch to something else.
Doesn't help that Stripe owns so many plugins that are compatible with my website.
The company has the worst business model ever. After I set up my account I got a notification that everything is set and I can start using my account. Then suddenly I got a notification that something needs to be verified. They won't tell me exactly what is needed. Anyhow I uploaded all my documents again and started doing transactions.
Then suddenly it says they can no longer let me do any transactions, without giving any reasons. The chat and phone number section in the support are disabled and the only way to reach to them was through email that no one responds. I have about $5000 stuck and I don't know what to do!
The company is just scamming people. BEWARE!
Talked to Support and they stopped responding to emails. Holding over 11k of my funds. Call in and they refer to their "Internal team" via email only. Internal team doesn't help and doesn't give a reason why they are holding the funds or how to remove the hold.
I had a business change owners and left his card information on a recurring invoice with Zipbooks which I have connected to Stripe. They disputed the charge, the new owner paid the invoice with a check. I provided all this information and Stripe still is now holding 20% of my money every invoice that's paid. 1 dispute in 3 years. The only dispute on my account. On top of it, they recently out of nowhere requested verification of my website. They have locked all payouts and have a lot of money stuck in limbo now because they won't release it. It's been 3 days since I gave them the same info on my website I've always given them and they have not responded to the verification and Live Chat just pushes me to email that nobody responds to.
IT'S TIME FOR A LAWSUIT.
A bank will help you retrieve lost money. Stripe won't. We had over $10K go missing and Stripe wouldn't do a single thing besides giving us "trace IDs" and told us to call the bank it went to.
As much as I dislike Paypal - at least they will help you recover funds.
Stripe.com responded with generic instructions for identity verification through its dashboard, but none of them worked. I couldn't take a selfie with my mobile device, and as a result it closed my account after 10 days.
I emailed its support division on a daily basis, explaining I couldn't take a selfie. Stripe.com replied with the same message, but none of its advice worked. I even sent screenshots of the problem, but received the same boilerplate message from Stripe.com.
Needless to say, I'm upset the company closed my account. There is no tech support because it doesn't listen, or worse yet understand, emails from clients.
I recommend avoid using this website, if possible.
This company is a scam company! I've reached out to this company several times to cancel my account & I keep getting the run around! Their known for doing fraudulent business by making fraudulent charges on accounts, withholding statements & holding your PERSONAL INFORMATION hostage saying there's no way cancel an express account! No supervisor has called to address the issue they reply saying the same thing which doesn't help delete my account. NEVER trust a company who does fraudulent business & has no integrity! The reviews on here are not lies I have e-mails to prove this company is definitely the the worse I've ever done business with.
Please advise if your company is legitimate. I very sorry for not reading the reviews before I decided to business with your company. Please refund the customer their money as you said you were going to do. I have being writing but no one has gotten back in touch with me to advise on the status of the refund. Do I have to get the better business bureau involved and Attorney general for this matter to be resolved? You approved my account, then you decided not to release funds after holding $5k then saying the account is not approved. Why did you approve the account in the first place?
We used Stripe for an online auction fundraiser during Covid. We have been waiting over a year to get our money. They have $1500 that we raised for our high school PTA. They are keeping money away from kids. THE WORST.
Stripe took money out of my debit card fraudulently. I disputed it with my credit union. My credit union investigated and denied my claim. Guess what? It was for a chiropractor, which I have never used any chiropractors because they are quacks. And guess where the chiropractor is located? South Carolina. I live in the SF Bay Area and have never been to South Carolina! I made a complaint with the local BBB and filed a complaint with the City and County of San Franciscos fraud division. Next stop is the CA Attorney General. I will also contact the chiropractor on Monday in order to chase the chiropractors version down.
I am the founder of a successful SF tech start-up so know my way around the start-up world. These principals of Stripe are clearly incomplete and perpetrate fraudulent practices.
On top of everything, no telephone number - only an online form that cannot be filled out because the spaces are grayed out.
Answer: Hi Jon, I'm sorry that you're having trouble with disputes -- they can be frustrating! Unfortunately, when your customer initiates a dispute with their bank, it's the bank that begins an investigation and makes the determination on who gets to keep the funds -- and often times, they do favor the customer. This process is facilitated by credit card networks, but Stripe helps with this process by submitting evidence that you provide, such as tracking numbers. Although we can't make disputes go away, we do try our best to make them a bit easier to manage. As a bit of background on how the dispute process works, the minute that we learn about a dispute from your cardholder's bank, the funds and an additional fee are taken out of our account. In the event that you're able to win a dispute, we return the full amount of the charge and the fee to you, though the fee that we are assessed is not returned to us by the bank. We return that fee because we feel strongly that businesses shouldn't be penalized for disputes that are resolved in their favor. Because it is expensive for us to return those fees in instances were the dispute is resolved in the business's favor, we aren't able to return the fees at other times. In addition, since disputes are a forced refund by the cardholder’s bank and not a voluntary one on your part, you remain responsible for the processing fees for the initial transaction. It can be tricky for even experienced businesses to understand how to handle a dispute, so we've spent time documenting the various circumstances under which a payment can be disputed, and how best to handle each -- I'd recommend taking a look at https://stripe.com/help/disputes to learn more. Please also take a look at https://stripe.com/help/disputes#how-can-i-prevent-disputes to learn more about preventing disputes. I hope this helps shed some light on our approach here. Again, I'm sorry that dealing with disputes are frustrating. Stripe actively dedicates resources to making this problem better and, over time, go away entirely. We can certainly look into your account and these specific disputes, if you'd like, if you send us a message at https://support.stripe.com/email.
Answer: These are the most significant crooks in the industry but they will get what they deserve I joined a group how will exposed there behavior. It is impossible that they can keep on operating and not get arrested
