Absolutely SHOCKING customer service! I ordered several items, one large item didn't arrive and I had to spend around 5 hours on the phone over 4 separate phone calls and it is still not resolved! Furthermore, another item arrived damaged and after 3 hours on the phone on 3 separate occasions, again, nothing resolved! How this company is in business I do not know.
Me and my family recently went to staples and we asked two employees where some cards were. They took us to a completely off section and then we asked again and then they just started recommending stuff, awful customer service.
The Staples stores are ok. You won't generally find any great bargains, but they are good when you want something right now without waiting for someone to ship it to you. If you are looking for an item that Staples sells but the store doesn't have it on the shelf, they can usually find it for you in back or at another Staples store in town, or at their warehouse which will get it to the store in one or two business days. The website generally has the same things that you would find in the store at the same prices, and you can have items shipped to the store for pickup. The real down side of their website is that their search engine is just about worthless - it will find dozens of things that have absolutely nothing to do with your search terms and omit some items that are actually an exact match.
I had placed the order on staples.com and when I submitted the order, its showed me a final receipt showing total of $5.38 for print out but when they emailed me the receipt, it showed me total of $5.40. I seriously don't think its right for the customers to go through this. Its wrong! I have never seen any other online stores doing a tax estimate. When I called to speak to a representative at *******330, they said they couldn't do anything and it was a female representative. This is why they got three stars less.
I bought a few rolls of Bounty from them. It came while I was away, and it was raining. The whole thing turned into a soggy mess, and I threw it away. I called staples and complained and they wanted me to fish the stuff out of the dumpster and send it back. I told them forget it, and ordered the same stuff from Amazon. Staples treated like a leper rather than a valued customer. Buy elsewhere!
I purchased an office chair through Staples online. They had several on sale (still 200.00) but everything was out of stock so I took my 5th choice, It came and I assembled it and the chair was broken. I called and was told they would send a new part but it would take 7 to 10 days. Then they sent the wrong part. The chair I wanted came back in stock so I decided to exchange it. Unfortunately I had to buy the new chair and wait 10 days to get my money back for the one I was returning. I didn't have 200.00 to put out. If I waited for my money the chairs would have been off sale. I decided to return the chair anyway as it was broken. I was told it would be picked up the next day between 9 and 5 so I stayed home all day waiting. They never showed up and was told they would come the next day between 9 and 5. They expected me to give up two full days to return a broken chair. Even Bell and Rogers can narrow down your time.
I ordered a couple of laptops and they shipped them without double boxing them. When they arrived, boxes damaged/broken and lots of messy labels on them. When you complain about them, they blame their shipping Department, like it is a different company.
I have ordered 2 boxes of paper for my printer and before I knew it the delivery was at my door. Fast and easy. Same thing with inks I ordered from them, I received them quickly. I like doing business with Staples, because of prompt delivery.
I ordered about a month ago and at the time updated my address. My order came no problem. Last week I ordered and it was shipped to an old address. I contacted customer service and they agreed to pick up the order and ship me a new one at three times the price. Apparently the offer has expired and they refuse to honor the price, yet this was their mistake (proof in my last order being delivered to me). And they said it will be 10 days for a refund after it is picked up. They refused to take responsibility for their system defaulting back to an old address. And then a price increase and long wait on a refund. I wouldn't order from them again!
They took my black Friday order, emailed me that it was shipped, when I haven't received it and called, they said that it was never shipped and not in stock anymore, in the meantime I lost other black Friday deals. Obviously no compensation. Stay away from them.

It has been almost a week now and both of my orders were supposed to be next day delivery because I need things for my business... but my orders keep saying delayed and they keep offering to refund money back to me when I just want my orders delivered... I even put the driver release forms from the Staples website on my door so they will leave the package... they said they tried to deliver but didn't... they didn't even ring the bell or anything
I have been on the phone with customer service everyday and they keep apologizing... I JUST WANT MY ORDERS... my business is losing money because I need these things... I am considering action against them for damages and false advertising...
TERRIBLE COMPANY... must be under new management or something but they will probably be out of business soon
I have found better prices for my small business at Staples than anywhere else. I was using a paper company for bathroom and kitchen supplies, but I found Staples. I watch the daily deals on Staples.com and find amazing prices for all my business needs.
The customer service was great but the product and technical expertise was an extremely stressful process the day I picked up my order. I ordered two banners and one was perfect but the second one was not what I ordered. They ran out of time the day I picked it up so I had to use what they had printed. Give yourself at least 3 full days to complete your order and plan on visiting the store twice to verify your final product. Day 1 - to submit your design online. Day 2 - to view the design on their software personally in the store and Day 3 - to see the finished product (the size you ordered and the scale of the images and words) and whether the design is stretched, shadowed, or any other options that may look different than your original order.
The worst customer service and delivery I have ever had. I left the form on my door for the guy to leave the package on the first day I saw him read the form (security camera) and proceeded to put the boxes back in the van. I called customer service and they told me to leave the form on the door, which I had. Second day they didn't even attempt to deliver my items. Third day again they left without delivery the items. Customer service won't give a refund until 10 days after the items are back in their warehouse even though I don't even have the items to send back and relying on the same delivery company who won't deliver it to me.
NEVER ORDER ONLINE. When I received my online order I was excited, this excitement turned into frustration quickly. To my surprise I received an item box of nothing. When I called customer service about the issue they said they would mail another one out. I received nothing. So I decided to call after a few days to inquire about the item and spoke with a manager. He said they cancelled the order and gave me a partial refund, like excuse me how? So I will never be dealing with this company again
I ordered a calculator for my son. The item was not delivered on the promised date, or the following promised date. If you are in no hurry then order from them. But don't order if you actually need the item.
This www.staples.com online service I used for purchasing some items. Their website is looking fine so I purchased an item for this service for emergency. But they are disappointed me by late shipping. The item was too late to reach to me. For this reason I am not using this service for online purchase.
Staples is a good store to go to for school and business supplies. They'll have what you need, and if you want it to be cute than they'll have it. Service is good Quality is good. Also they do give you your money back, which is always great.
I went to staples to buy a few items today. I wanted to save on some of my items but had difficulties getting the Staples app to setup on my phone. My cashier, Nyx, took the time to help me get the app on my phone. I was lucky to have her as my cashier as she showed great patients and didn't brush me off. At my age I'm not app savvy or computer savvy to say the least! I'm happy she was there to help me! Great customer service!
