Was very pleased with the rep's (Tom) manner of explaining the plan to me and informing me of coverage other companies offered. (I always comparison shop) Even the company we had prior to relocating could not provide the coverage we will be getting at a lower cost. Was p; eased when I was offered a Senior Citizen and Veterans discount. Plus it helps to know that the company is in the top 5 companies offering home warranty coverage as rated by a national agency.
I can initially state SHW must review current contract companies they believe to do business with. Frog Pro services for AC work should be removed from your list of companies the reviews are terrible. I opened claim on 5/27 with zero response from Frog Pro nor did SHW receive callback
I called SHW again today and they gave me 2 options 1 being they'd try to find another company or I could find one and when repairman diagnosis issue to call them for a very quick approval while repairman is there and I'll pay out of pocket and SHW will reimburse me
Read the contract before purchase, this company only cover a maximum of $150 for an AC replacement unless you have documentation for maintenance. What a waste of money on this plan! I should have used American Home Shield.
I have had a Select Home Warranty for over 4 years and have had to request service on three different time. Every single time my claim was handled in a very professional and timely manner. No followup was needed and the work was performed professionally by the technician. I would highly recommend Select Home Warranty for your home needs.

I had select home warranty for about a year. Over the past year I called them for 3 different issues. Water heater, microwave and fridge. Needless to say they found an excuse not to pay every time. They are bunch of scammers! You deal with answering service in india and they are trained to be rude and unhelpful. They act like they are transferring to a supervisor and hang up on you. DO NOT PURCHASE A WARRANTY FROM THIS COMPANY! My last issue was the fridge. They sent a company that determined the fridge needs a motor which would cost over $800 and had me pay the $75 service call as per their contract. They obviously didn't like that diagnosis and wanted to send another company but they never did. I called several times and finally 2 months later they said they cannot find anyone else to come out and told me to go buy a fridge and submit the receipt for review and they will send a reimbursement check. I did everything they asked but they denied the claim bc they said they needed a 2nd opinion before paying for something even though they wouldn't send someone else to look at the fridge. Now they cancelled my warranty and would not honor the 2 extra free months they gave me to sign up for the warranty. I have never seen a company so Openly corrupt. Think how much money they make by collecting $499 from each person and they rarely have to spend any money repairing the issues that come up. The people they send out to inspect collect $75 deductible or service call as they call it and then SHW denies the claim so on top of spending $500 a year on the warranty that is suppose to take care of your issues you spend another $75 each call for them to turn around and deny the claim. Stay away!
I just filled the form to see the quote and before the last step they called me. There is no even any flag or notice that they will call. So they called without my agreement and that was the most stupid thing the sales can do, I was almost ready to buy warranty but they distracted me. They have no any agreement flag or notice and use my personal information before I take a "SUBMIT" action. They used my contact information BEFORE I agreed to provide it - that's how all scammers behave.
I googled, found reviews and... well. They do not deserve any trust. Like several other companies I tried - they did the same. Now they are calling me every day, I'm even tired of blocking their numbers.
BTW do not look at the positive reviews, nobody writes positives unless they have to or just bored.
If you have enough time you will find common language in al positives that shows they are written by same person or group.
Tried to use this policy twice and was given the run around both times. The first time our spa needed repair. We were told they had no one avaible to do the work but we could get someone and they would reimburse us. We had the repair done the next day and sent in the claim. We were then told spa was not included in policy. Warranty says is spa part of pool it is included. After saying we wanted to cancel policy they agreed to reimburse us if we kept policy. Made the mistake of agreeing. In April requested repair for oven. Broiler was burned out. A week later they sent a repair person. He looked at oven and turned in claim for New broiler. Four weeks later still no broiler. Calls to warranty company nothing but incompetence, calls to repair company never answered. Called warranty company and cancelled repair and policy. Now they want to say they need to deduct several things what a scam. TERRIBLE COMPANY

Answer: After filing 5 claims, and one tech that wanted to pad his pocket resulting in me fixing my own leak in a toilet at my expense after paying their tech. And another tech wanting to get my pool setup for summer at150. More than I already gave for deductible she didn't fix my pump or water line to my pool. Both denied by select home Warrenty. And 3 more that I paid their techs for then had to fix it myself. Now my freezers compressor is out and they took money out of my bank account without my permission after saying they would go ahead and fix the freezer well guess what they declined it. And said it wasn't covered when in the contract it says it is. List all meat and others because of 3 weeks if waiting for them
