Overall it was a fairly good experience. One of the blinds didn't work well... wouldn't go back up so they quickly replaced it! So that was nice but we've had our blinds less than a month and even those that went up well are now starting to have issues going all the way back up. I got shades because I like to see out of the whole window, so it's a little frustrating when I can't get them to retract all of the way.
When ordering my custom roman shades on selectblinds.com, i was asked which pleat style I prefer, after clicking various options, I wasn't given a photo of the chosen style. I had to use Google to understand various pleat styles instead, and when I received the $2,000 in roman shades, I was unhappy with the way it looked because of the pleat style confusion.
Further, one very large shade was measured wrong (which is easy to do on a large window with a bendy tape measure) and their policy of being able to have one shade per order remade conveniently doesn't apply because it was a motorized shade. Had that been clear, I might not have made the risk ordering motorized shades online. I could've had a professional come out and do the measuring if I knew this was such a risky process. Now I have $2,000 worth of shades that I'm disappointed in and no way of returning them without paying almost exactly what I paid in the first place.

Answer: Semi scam. They do not honor 3 yr warranty. My claim, 6418454 was literally IGNORED with non response.
Answer: They won't accept returns. I ordered shades, which the pictures from their website clear show have a hidden bracket in the same color as the shade. We got bright white brackets that curl around the front of the shade and will be very visible to everyone in the room. They will look like a cheap knockoff.
Answer: I ordered on line from Home Depot. Better quality that Select's private label brand and quick delivery. I received perfect quality shades in 8 days. Select kept delaying and was up to 3 months delivery and counting when I finally was able to cancel.
