Ryobi enjoys a mixed reputation among its customers, with notable strengths in product quality and versatility. Many users appreciate the performance and ease of use of their tools, particularly battery-operated lawn equipment, which is praised for its efficiency and lightweight design. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly related to warranty claims, service delays, and difficulties in obtaining replacement parts. Complaints about inadequate support and communication suggest a need for improvement in customer relations. Overall, while Ryobi has a loyal customer base, enhancing service responsiveness could bolster its reputation further.

Love it, easy frendly strong small everything in one's... use universal battery for the brand, very light
I love this tool! It is easy to use, cuts perfectly and ergonomically correct for me. I am a woman with small hands and little knowledge with saws, but I found this a perfect tool for my diys! Thanks Ryobi!
I bought a 18 volt 5 piece kit with the drill and impact and 5 inch saw and saw zaw and the flash light and have replaced batteries 2 times and now only 1 year and 1 month later the drill and impact burned out so I called and got a list of dealers and found out they don't do it anymore
No I am $#*!ed and out the money I would have to drive 200 miles to get them fixed and Ryobi has 90 days to fix
Ryobi is a joke and I am going on social media so everyone knows not be scammed by them
Less than a year ago I purchased a 40V, brushless self-propelled Ryobi RY******* mower at home depot. After two uses it died, and Home Depot replaced it. Now, just a few uses removed from that, it has gone haywire. Self propel does not work, blade engages when it isn't supposed to (huge safety issue). Since I am outside of 90 days Home Depot will not replace. Stayed on hold for an hour and 22 minutes with Ryobi and never got anyone on the phone. I gave up and texted, and here is what Ryobi did for me: They told me I could ship a lawnmower off for repair AT MY EXPENSE (they would pay return shipping). When I told them that didn't work for me (how does one box up and ship a lawnmower?), they found me a service center with a 4.5 week backlog. When I asked them how I was to cut my lawn for that month+, they suggested I rent a lawnmower at Home Depot ($40 a pop). When I texted back they gave me a different service center, much farther from my house, with a 3 week backlog behind DOZENS of other Ryobi electric lawn mowers already in for service. While not explicit, the service attendant on duty made it pretty clear I own a lemon and that I bought it from a company that does stand behind their products. I will be out of pocket for some of this repair, will have to pay someone to cut my grass and will have to make time to drop it off and pick it up.
I am a busy professional and I take great pride in the appearance of my home and lawn. I bought this mower because I thought I was buying a top of the line product that would help me maintain my lawn well and in a more environmentally responsible manner. Two mowers down in less than a year tells me Ryobi has some serious problems they are not owning.
Sadly, I already purchased a Ryobi electric line trimmer and I am "in bed" with them over $1000. This will be the only time I get either of these things fixed, then I am done with Ryobi forever.
See bright green, run away! Do not buy this lawnmower!
I left a revie on this lawnmower on the 10th after my first use.
Boy was I wrong.
I cut the grass yesterday with a better understanding of how this new experience with battery operated lawnmowers.
It was a nice dry day and batteries were completely full charged and my cutting experience was as different as day and night.
The lawnmower cut perfect and I had no problems at all.
I love this mower and can not wait to try more Ryobi tools.
I purchased the18 v chainsaw and it cut that wood as good or better than my corded saw.
From now on Ryobi is my go to when in need of tools.
Next on my list will be the pole saw and i can't wait
I purchased a pressure washer from Home Depot and the washer was missing the Turbo Nozzle, so I called Ryobi customer service and was on hold for two hours. I then left a call back number and was never called.
So then I went on chat and after 45 minutes the chat lady said she would email me the forms to get a nozzle, but she sent it to the wrong email address.
The following day I tried again to get the issue solved, but no such luck.
I give up and I will never buy a Ryobi product ever ever ever.
The battery only last 16 min. So 2 batteries last 12 min NOT 40 min. As advertised. There should ba a class action law suit, for a product that cost $300, and does not deliver.
I have twoRyobi 40 volt weedeaters one has the edger the regular weed eater.and i and my grandson are very pleased with great job they do.
It's trash products, made of very cheap quality. Also, their customer service sucks. Invest in better products.
Save your time and money.
I have several Ryobi tools. Was a bit concerned about buying the edger but gave it a try. Very happy with my purchase. Does an excellent job and easy to use.
Two weeks ago our bathroom toilet started flushing slowly, and within a few hours stopped flushing, It appeared there was a blockage somewhere. We tried several different drain cleaners to no avail. I was about to call a plumber when I found the Ryobi 18 volt One+ augers on line. I already have several Ryobi One+ tools so took a trip to the Home Depot and Picked up the P4001 drain auger... Got home, read the manual, popped in a battery and gave it a whirl. After two tries I hit what seemed to be a blockage, and suddenly the auger seemed to grab onto something, I gave it a few more seconds and reversed it, When the cable end became visible there was a large clump of what appeared to be a wad of toilet paper caught in the end. I pulled the remaining cable back, with the obstruction attached and gave the toilet a flush... It went without any problem, one more flush and the same result, flushed easily.,,, I was very impressed with the auger, It did the job with very little efflrt on my part, I would definetly recommend this product for the home owner. I have several Ryobi tools in my collection and each one has proven to be excellent, I've tried other brands in the past but Ryobi and surpassed them by miles...Thanks Ryobi for all the One+ products you produce. I'm definetly a Ryobi fan and happy owner of their tools. Kudos and keep innovating.
THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST PRODUCT I PURCHASED FROM RYOBI. THE MOWER WILL BE 3 YEARS OLD IN JULY AND THE BATTERIES ARE HAVING ISSUES, INSTEAD OF BEING ABLE TO CUT UP TO 2 ACRES, I AM RUNNING OUT OF POWER IN LESS THE 2/3 OF AN ACRE EVEN THO THE BATTERIES AND MOWER HAVE BEEN MAINTAINED AS PER THEIR GUIDELINES. THE MOWER HAS A 3 YEAR WARRANTY BUT THE BATTERIES ARE LIMITED TO 1 YEAR YET THEY ARE ADVERTISED THAT THEY SHOULD GET 5 YEARS PLUS... I BOUGHT AN ELECTRIC TO MINIMIZE MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE, AT THIS RATE I COULD EASY HAVE MY GRASS MOWED FOR 4 YEARS PLUS AT LESS EXPENSE. IT WOULD BE NICE IF RYOBI WOULD STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS AND REPLACE THE BATTERIES.
I love the universal batteries with the ability to use on any of my Roybi Tools from saws to drills and lawn equipment
I have a lot of Ryobi tools would recommend to the average user good quality at a reasonable price i am not a professional but do all my home maintenance
I have purchased a few RYOBI products and have been generally satisfied. However, after using the Surface Cleaner a few times, the plastic holding the wand cracked and the spinning motion became unbalanced. It was outside the 90 day warranty (occurred within a year) and RYOBI refused to make an exception even to provide a prod credit. PLEASE DO NOT BUY A RYOBI SURFACE CLEANER
I recently purchased a battery-operated Ryobi weed eater at Home Depot. It was very easy to assemble (although I would have liked pictures), easy start-up instructions, and (for my very first battery-operated tool) worked beyond what I had imagined. I look forward to their emails about other attachments that can be used with this tool. This product did not disappoint. Even Harry, the Home Depot employee, told me I wouldn't be unhappy with this tool.
My corded angle grinder needed extension cords for most jobs around the property which was always a hassle, finally quit. I needed a new one ASAP for an upcoming home project. I decided to check out cordless grinders mainly for convenience. I finally decided to go online after checking local establishments. Home Depot, had a Ryobi Model PCL 455 that came with a battery and charger that I finally ordered. The grinder arrived a couples days before the estimated arrival date. It was more than what I was expecting, it operated and felt like what a pro would use. This grinder was easy to put together and is far superior to my old one (and that of my buddy's cordless grinder). Living several hundred miles from a major city I was able to order this grinder on line from Home Depot and expect it to arrive on time. Most important my confidence in ordering products from Home Deport just when from a 1 to 10 for their quality and dependability. I recommend you try Home Depot online ordering.
I have had this compressor for a year being a RV this is Great and work's really well. I would recommend this to all my RV friends.
Just purchased a Ryobi battery powered lawn mower. After frustration of gasoline mower not starting after sitting all winter, thought it would be nice to have an electric motor that just needs power and away we go. Spent $599 at Home Depot (model RY*******) and thought it was a good deal. However, after using it for last 2 days, piece of junk. It took twice as long to mow my yard (about 3 hours) due to having to go over the same area at least twice. Cuts bermuda grass easily, but anything thicker, mow over twice. Easy to handle, stores well, easy to charge, but does not cut as well as gasoline powered mower. Sorry, but this battery powered mower has a long way to go to match the cheapest gasoline powered mower.
Answer: I own 2 chain saws, 18" bar and 14"bar, both run excellent, I have cleared a lot of trees over the last several years on property up north, thank you
Answer: Yes, call Ryobi's 800 number. They will send a replacement. The same thing happened to me.
