Roomster

The experience so far has been disappointing. I had to go through a secondary service to upgrade my account that does not make me want to tell my friends to use the site. When I asked the support staff no answers were given as to why I couldn't upgrade via CC.

Been using Roomster for over 7 years already. Used to live with my ex-girlfriend, and we would get a new housemate to share the house with every year. Roomster has taken care of all the listings and had gotten us connected with a group of great young creative’s over time. When the ex and me ended things, it was time for me to look at Roomster with a new perspective, and I was the one looking for an apartment to share. My new housemate, Brooks, was in a similar situation and was looking to fill a vacant room once paid for by his ex, and that was probably the best thing that ever happened to us. Also dealing with the help desk over the years has always been very straightforward and has only improved with time.

Security is paramount and this is the second time I have used this service to find a tenant. I have not had any issues and the people I have found have been quality individuals! Praying it stays that way! I recommend this app for sure above all others

So I was directed to this site by a person on Craigslist sho wanted me to register with Roomster. Okay, no problem. Except when you go to register it's $15 to validate your ID and then you don't really get anything until you actually purchase a subscription. So I'm into this for $20. No big deal, but
I didn't find ANYTHING that met my needs. So I went back to Craigslist and found exactly what I was looking for. Roommster is a big failure in my book.

Needed to find a person for a spare room in one of my houses and started using this website and have found it optimal for my needs. Have successfully delivered a new roommate to the people who occupy one of my houses. Easy to use and trusted which is the most important.

Had to find a new place to live after my lease expired. A Google search led me to Roomster and it was great. Tons of rooms available that met my budget and I easily found a great place close to school.

Right? That’s what they say in the real estate business at least and the same goes for the rental market. Location was the most important thing for me and I was surprised to find so many options on here (Washington Heights) as I wanted to be close to my office and family. Happy to say I was able to find what I needed.

Notice the mostly one star reviews and then notice all the stilted, obviously fake four and five star reviews posted recently. They're obviously posting fake reviews.

Now they've taken to posting fake rooms for rent on craigslist and when you write to inquire, they encourage you to sign up for roomster and then never respond again. It's about time to sick 4chan on these idiots.

All my friends found rooms to rent through a broker but I really did not feel good about paying such a hefty brokers fee to find a place. I went on Roomster and was so happy to find an abundance of quality listings across a range of prices to meet my needs. Told all my friends about it and they wish they had known about it.

Site layout is confusing and it's not stated anywhere along the process of creating an account and posting that you won't be able to communicate with anyone without paying money. If you're going to charge people, make it clear UP FRONT.

I was living with this guy I met through a mutual friend and had no issues with him. He was very clean and respectful and always paid rent and bills on time. Unfortunately I began to develop an allergic reaction to his cat and eventually it got so bad to the point where I couldn’t be in the apartment at all without breaking out in hives and being in so much pain. I knew no one was at fault for what was transpiring but I needed a solution. At first I contacted a friend of mine who is a real estate broker to see if he had anything in a building that doesn’t allow pets but everything he came back with was way out of my budget or was not in a good area. I did some research online and found Roomster and was really glad with the service. They allow you to customize your profile so I was able to rule out any listings that allowed pets. I eventually found a great deal on a room to rent in a luxury doorman building that did not allow pets so it was perfect for me!

Never thought I'd find such a resourceful service when it comes to roommate matching, Roomster was super easy to use and had so many listings it was so easy to find a suitable estimate for my new place

I am writing this because I am frustrated with the way that Roomster conducts business and is able to get away with it. I believe that a legitimate business would be interested in helping their customers, and Roomster obviously is not. They are deliberately misleading and it is sad and disappointing that they are willing to take advantage of people in this way.

Super-scammy setup. Only shows two people in my area but my email is flooded with "messages" which I have to pay to see, but turn out to be nothing more than people shouting in to the wind, not actually messages for me.

Roomster has lots of rooms in Los angeles. I found a noticeable room in LA. My room contains great conditions as I need. Its so comfortable to stay. There has a nice playground in front of my room. I just like it. I took this from many of rooms in Roomster. I just give 4 star for Roomster cause, I think there has many better rooms than my one. Ha ha.

Hi, I was not happy to learn that I have to pay in order to receive the messages. A message is not yet a successful transaction. However, I don't want to let people down who took the time to write to me.

I am satisfied for about the services of roomster cause, I got into my new room within only a week.
Got this room only for roomster.com. I went & search on Roomster.com and I typed in the search box my budget and location then I got my nice room within a week only.
