The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by consistent complaints regarding product reliability and customer service. Customers frequently express dissatisfaction with the performance of devices, citing issues such as poor video quality and connectivity problems. Additionally, the customer service experience is notably negative, with many reviewers reporting long wait times, unhelpful representatives, and inadequate support for troubleshooting. While some users appreciate the initial functionality of the products, the recurring themes of frustration and disappointment suggest a pressing need for the company to enhance both product quality and customer service responsiveness to improve overall customer satisfaction.

Worst customer service I have ever known. I contacted them 2 times with different issues but there is no solution. I hope you never need their customer services
Just got off the phone for the 4th time since my merchandise was returned on June 15. I received a system for a friend but her son had made a purchase the day after my order. I called and got an RMA (return merchandise) shipping label. I opened the box when the shipping label requested part of the label to be inclosed. I opened the box, incerted said label and sealed the box. Today they finally said they would give me a third refund since they haven't received all the products that were in the same box. 3-5 days for this refund and call once again in 7 days to see the status of the other $400 refund. The hold time to talk to some one is 5-10 minutes every time you call. AND you have to listen to ring advertisements the entire time. I like my ring but hopefully you will not need their customer service.
Don't mount you cameras high. Will need to reprogram once a month or they will act up and spend over and hour trying to get help with support that doesn't help. Worst idea I never had. I'm ditching ring as it sucks
By the far the most useless doorbell system and the most useless customer service who 3 weeks later have still not come back to me and this ring is owned by the so called good customer service company AMAZON.
DO NOT BUY THIS RING DOORBELL AND HERES WHY:
Huge delay many times when the doorbell is pressed to the alert coming on your phone and even to the plugged in ring chime. Sometimes there is no alert at all! Please do not say that it may be the router and connection because i have high speed internet with the router 3 meters away.
Sometimes by the time you go on the app when you click on the alert on your phone straight away it takes ages opening the app and by the time you open it, the person has gone!
The quality of the camera is extremely poor and the sound is also poor.
The cheap screw system has already snapped because the screw got stuck and had to almost yank it out. Basically a £1 doorbell would have done a far greater job than this extremely poor piece of junk.
Also I sent countless number of emails to customer service and not a single email was responded to.
Constant false notifications, even when changing to the least sensitive settings. The camera doesn't capture any of my stoop (even with the overpriced angle base attachment) and the camera can only start seeing the area about 6 feet out from my door, so I'm unable to check the live view to see if there is a package currently sitting at my front door. I'm going to have to mount the Ring 12 inches off the ground so I'll be able to adequately see my stoop and anyone approaching it without 50 false notifications each day. I would not recommend this product.
Yesterday (06/22/2020) the ring app on my phone required me to log back in. When I tried to log back in a message came that I had to get a verication number from my email. I was not home so I had to call someone at home to log in to my email to retrieve the verication number.
What if I did not have someone to get the verification number for me? I would not be able to monitor my ring which goes against the "always home" that ring promotes.
So basically, I am away from home and need to monitor my home. To login I need to verify with a number from my email which is at home. What if I cannot get the verification number because I am not at home? Makes no sense.

We have had ours for over a year. They keep changing the interface which really isn't a big problem just annoying! It worked well when we first got it but after all the "improvements" half the time it does not pick up motion even when someone is standing right in front of it! But not to worry it picks up vehicles 100%! I would give it a zero on this site if I could. We will be getting something else this thing is totally worthless!
I want to cry. 3 days and 4 phone calls and still no return label to get a refund. I can't get anything but the same rehearsed lines from people in the Phillipines! I'm thinking they don't actually accept returns.
Camera is trash, heavy video response lag time or the most important community forum denies freedom of speech, Already replaced unit.
Some guests at my home were dancing and all the sudden, the red light on the camera comes on, indicating someone is watching and/or recording. The device was disabled and video recording was turned off. Audio was turned on and I have since turned that off in settings. Bottom line - There is no real security on the Ring Camera so I highly recommend not purchasing. If you have it, watch out!
I actually like my ring doorbells but their customer service is nonexistent. I went to renew my service and because one doorbells service didn't expire for 10 days they renewed that day even though the others service had expired without notice. I went on line to renew and then it indicated it was a trial... no I just paid for new service for a year so I called. The automated system said my wait would be under 5 minutes so now it's 29 minutes and 35 seconds and I'm still waiting. They need to get their crap together or lot's of people will read these reviews and bypass purchasing ring products all-together. Needless to say my time is valuable and this just doesn't cut it for me. I have 2 doorbells and now I wish I had purchased another brand. A product is only as good as it's customer service and this sucks big time.
I cant really add anything but service sucks product sucks Did catch anyone breaking into my house 3 times out over 10 k of tools screw this crap.
The door bell developed battery problems. Although the thing is wired it no longer charge the battery after less than a year! Also the network centrism design is really and frankly for a expansive $150 device it can not store any video locally! Now we have to constantly remove the battery and charge it outside the doorbell and of course the door bell goes online during this time. Many shipper alternative products work better are more perform-ant and also more reliable. This is a purchase we definitively regret!
It must be nice to just take the money and run and that is what ring does. Takes your money and abandons you! DON'T BUY THIS SYSTEM!
These alert systems are a joke you get them late if you get them at all it literally takes three to five minutes to get a notice on my phone before I'm able to answer it the people I've already left because nobody has answered it it takes that long to get a noticed do yourself a favor and look for a better system
Ring door cameras suck, they are too easily hacked and they have terrible almost none existent customer service.
I had a generator (Emphasis on HAD) padlocked to a trailer right in front of the door camera. It was only going to be there one night and i figured who would steal it on camera?
The camera log shows me coming in a 5.30pm yesterday and going out at 6am this morning to find a cut lock and the gen set gone. Nothing in between. When I finally got to speak to someone at ring, (An offshore call center of course because profits are king over customer service) they said it was my settings and that they were not sensitive enough. So to be clear... it picked me up, picked up the garbage truck in the street, picked up the cat crossing but some how failed to see at least 2 guys for what must have been at least 5 minutes cutting cable and horsing the 400lb generator off the trailer. The ONLY logical answer is they hacked it... If petty thieves can hack a ring camera then they are practically worthless!
My significant other passed away without a will or executor. Without him leaving the ring to me in the will I have no access to use. I was a shared user on the account. I have a worthless ring doorbell and customer service won't do anything unless you can send them death certificate a will or have the executor write a letter giving it to you. If you're older don't buy this.
We purchased the ring spotlight camera in early February when we switched from vivint to safehome security. It hasn't worked properly since we've got it. It will not open the live view. I've had to uninstall and reinstall the app, clear the cache and restarted my phone multiple times. It's junk.
While the product is fine, customer service is like speaking to a kindergarten class. Simple math no one can do. They cancel existing plans and recharge your credit card, and then can not do math on prorated $30. Spoke to 3 people in two days to fix two monitoring door bell plans I have. After an hour and half on the phone, I finally asked to speak to a manager. Manager never got on the phone. I hung up and disputed the charge on my card. I removed my card card from my account, so they can not automatically charge when they have no idea what they are doing. I will decide if I want to continue with their plans. They lack the ability to give "two cents" about the customer!
Answer: Most annoying product ever. Doesn't work but almost does. This makes you constantly fool with it thinking you maybe possibly actually got it to do something similar to what they advertise. But in the end you will be back to square one with a pricey piece of crap! Then after hrs of listening to customer services b. S. you realize you've been had. But it doesn't end there. You end up on sites like this trying to help others from making the same mistake. And trying to figure out when this hell will end!
Answer: It does not work the way it is presented on T. V. The inability to immediately respond "LIVE" to an event renders it useless.
