The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by consistent complaints regarding product reliability and customer service. Customers frequently express dissatisfaction with the performance of devices, citing issues such as poor video quality and connectivity problems. Additionally, the customer service experience is notably negative, with many reviewers reporting long wait times, unhelpful representatives, and inadequate support for troubleshooting. While some users appreciate the initial functionality of the products, the recurring themes of frustration and disappointment suggest a pressing need for the company to enhance both product quality and customer service responsiveness to improve overall customer satisfaction.

I needed to return three floodlight cameras because I decided to go with Ring spotlight cams. Got my return shipping label on 7/21 and still waiting as of 8/25 for credit on my credit card! Ring confirmed receipt of returned product on 7/27 but has given excuses such as Covid, warehouse issues, previous rep did not write a ticket, ticket was not escalated, person in the back office has to process credit. The "alleged" back office person processing my credit does not have a phone number or email available though! NEVER EVER AGAIN!
No recording without monthly service... also motion detection on cameras so slow most actions are missed... poor service and product...
It doesn't even register when I go out to check for mail. If I get a notification, by the time it connects the person is in another time zone. IF it picks up the postperson, I see them by the mailbox and then it freezes and finally will pick up when they have reached the end of my 70 foot walkway going to the next house. HOWEVER if the wind blows or a truck goes down the street it will alert repeatedly. YES. I have adjusted the sensitivity and motion section areas -- probably weekly for over a year. It will detect a cat walking across my porch but not someone who rings the doorbell. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
If you opt out of "buying" your own video recordings performance gradually degrades until the cameras no longer activate live. RING will state the issue is with your wi-fi. The same wi-fi that streams movies and operates along the network. The same network that has virtually no other services running after office hours won't activate any cameras. Cameras capture monitoring but do not activate. Don't fall for Amazon's latest scam.
When I 1st installed The ring flood cam, it worked great! By saying this, it was the 30 day free trial. After that customer service emailed me to fix my own problems... but my 30 day trial helped me everytime. Picks up the back of the person. Ya, that's gonna help with crime. Last night was the worst ever out of over 100x rarely picking anything up! My dog started barking so I tried hitting 'live view' with rings message stating 'unusual activity in front yard' Never came on nor did I get a video of what was going on! Maybe it'll happen again when my kid comes home from work and I'll miss my kid being dragged in a car! If I had to do it all over again, I'd NEVER have bought rings failure of a product!
It doesn't take long before these overpriced door bells start to go bad. When you call Ring support, they love to put the blame on you the customer, as we are stupid, and don't know how to operate their system! I am so sorry I spent that much money for a door bell. But the little Blink camers work great, I now have six Blinks... So long Ring, You SUCK!
I had been using Doorbell 2 and Floodlight Camera since 2 years, after first year when promotion Expired I paid 1year service, after I just paid the problems coming up that Doorbell camera stopped charging battery by itself any longer, had to replace battery every few days, the floodlight camera lights went blurry blunt completely... all.the ring stopped working... they all often loose connectivity lot motions could not be found.,, react motions too late... Look like the connections were hacked and motions were hidden...
Looking for another cameras to replace...
This product is not worth the money or the time. I am so dissatisfied with ring, I'm looking to throw it in the trash. If someone rings my doorbell it will not connect. I can only do a live view from time to time and that's it!
I am on my second ring doorbell pro. It works great for about 4 months and then it starts to lose connectivity. I have four ring wireless cameras that work flawlessly. I am not sure why they can't get it right with their doorbell. My advice is to stay away. I won't be purchasing a third doorbell. They are absolute garbage.
Ring might have a very good easy to install alarm system but their customer service is the worst I have come across in this time when technology is so advanced. If you cancel some as simple as an order before it was even shipped be prepared for the inadequate and totally inefficient service you will ever receive for a company. I am hoping their alarm systems does not have the same inadequacies. Very poor!
After have the device for two years it is constantly in need of being reset. It is offline more than on. We have boosted our internet by purchasing an extender and still no better. Wish I never bought one.
Ring doorbells are temperamental and work when they choose. Their wifi connection is dodgey and their app is totally rubbish. It just texted me codes that it did not recognize. Save yourself the trouble and buy something else. The doorbell is an overpriced piece of s8&$
Chime will NOT connect to wifi. Every suggestion on the internet, nothing works. Don't buy it, CRAP!
I have had the whole system for 2 years paying for it to be monitored. The cameras go off line a lot and are very slow if your counting on them for security this is not a very good system. Cameras disconnect and won't re connect if anything the cameras on the house look like we have a good system little do they know. So all in all do not buy this system. Paul Graz OKC
Got this as a gift a week ago. It doesn't detect any motion at the door but gets cars passing on the street. Even when you stand in front of the doorbell it doesn't detect motion. (And yes I have made all kinds of adjustments and put in two wedges) When you ring the doorbell it works long enough to get the persons backside as they leave and then you get notified someone is there or should I say WAS there. So it works great if you want a picture of the person leaving your house with your TV. Don't waste your money. Get a camera that will actually works when you need it. Just another Amazon piece of crap.
Ring sucks. They're overpriced for the service they provide. The cameras and doorbells are hundreds of dollars and then they make you pay an additional fee of $100 a year to record. That's the whole point of the camera. If you don't pay, you can only view it live. So if you're away from your phone and you get an alert that someone is at your house, sorry. You won't be able to see who it was or have any footage to show police if you're home was broken into. And on top of that when you do get an alert, it takes FOREVER and sometimes doesn't even come up at all so it completely defeats the purpose of these. There were so many times, if not every time, my camera went off, the app and camera would take so long to load and show me what was going on that if I was home, I just got up and looked out my window to see what was going on. That was faster than this service. Which defeats the purpose of me spending my money on these cameras. If I hadn't already spent hundreds of dollars on these cameras, I would throw them away. They're useless really. It literally just happened to me 5 minutes ago where my camera went off and it just kept loading and loading and never opened. Doesn't really give me the peace of mind I was looking for when purchasing from a security camera company. A complete scam.
We have had our ring doorbell 2 and chime up for 6 months. The chime does nothing but gives a audible bell... there is no difference in connectivity with or without it. The doorbell randomly loses connection. If it is connected the lag between an event and video is about 1.5 minutes. Totally useless. The battery lasts about 2 weeks on a full charge. Customer service asks for endless info and screenshots but never offers a solution. Worst product and company EVER.
Ring PRO doorbell failed after 4 months. Replacement was a garbage too and wouldn't connect to WiFi. Wait time for Ring Tech was over an hour. Into the garbage it went. I'll never buy a Ring product again.
I purchased the ring doorbell pro. Set it up correctly and it just did not work. I called customer service and was on hold for 2 hours. They did replace it, how ever the second one was no better.
I have never been so disappointed any product in my life, as I am with Ring doorbell pro. It is a waste of time and money
They don't tell you that you have to upgrade to use the video feature after the first month so I was upset about that and now my ring device gives me an error when I try to use live view. They say it's my internet, but I love alone and have always had the same internet and my ring is connected directly to a power source.
I have a blink camera from amazon on the back of my house and it is awesome! You don't have to pay fees for video recordings and it's battery operated and never gives me problems in the past 6 months.
Go with blink! Do not waste your money on ring.
Answer: Most annoying product ever. Doesn't work but almost does. This makes you constantly fool with it thinking you maybe possibly actually got it to do something similar to what they advertise. But in the end you will be back to square one with a pricey piece of crap! Then after hrs of listening to customer services b. S. you realize you've been had. But it doesn't end there. You end up on sites like this trying to help others from making the same mistake. And trying to figure out when this hell will end!
Answer: It does not work the way it is presented on T. V. The inability to immediately respond "LIVE" to an event renders it useless.
