Reservations.com is a total scam. I accidently booked 2 rooms for 2 nights, and when I recieved the email confirmation, it was then I saw that the fee was non refundable. I immediately called them to cancel the reservation which was only 5 minutes old, and they refused to issue a refund, but would send my claim to billing. Today I recieved another email that said after review they would not refund the money. I have reported this to the BBB.
Reservation.com hides cancellation policy. They process payment immediately and refuse refunds. They are scammers. Beware and never ever use reservation.com
Had an issue an the customer service was terrible. All they did was repeat their script. Took an hour to escalate. I still had to call the hotel myself to get this accomplished.
I had a terrible experience with reservations.com and I want to warn others not to use their service. They charged me in different currency and refused to issue a refund or to adjust the cost in correct currency. The customer service was very unhelpful including management. I wasted a lot of time and money because of their incompetence and dishonesty. Reservations.com is a scam and I advise everyone to avoid them at all costs.
The website makes it look like you are on the hotel website. They overcharge you and they hide that reservations are not refundable... Worst company ever!
Not good pricing varies not good not useful not good not going to reserve from them charge extra not good
They are almost a total scam. We accidentally made a double booking with them at a Hyatt Hotel. When I tried to cancel one of the reservations five days before our stay, I was told the entire charge was non-refundable. This was not communicated in the initial online reservation. In addition they charged $100.00 more for the same exact room and night than was charged for the second reservation. Plus they charged a $19.95 booking fee...also non-refundable. I then called the hotel directly and cancelled the reservation but was told they could not give me a cancellation number and that Reservations.com would have to call the hotel to confirm cancellation in order for me to receive a refund. A call back to R.com was unsuccessful as they said I needed a cancellation number from the hotel. Catch 22? Also, they make their web address look like you are dealing directly with the hotel company.
We have referred this to our credit card company who is disputing the charge.
They make the site look like the actual hotel site, then hide the fact that there is a $19 service fee. I thought I was dealing with the actual Choice Hotels site. I called back immediately after seeing the email which did display the service fee, but of course I couldn't cancel the reservation. I don't know how to convert the receipt to jpg so that SHOULD NOT make my review any less credible!
Traveling in the car I got my friend to dial a number that was under the picture of a hotel we wished to check for balcony views of the ocean. ( we were going to Ocean City, Md.)
Agent offered a balcony room on the ocean side for $87.60. He said this was refundable and not to worry. I stressed my concerns several times about what I would accept. My friends heard the conversation since it was thru my car speaker. Got to hotel...not a balcony with ocean view, Balcony on the side of the building. Only an hr had passed from making the reservation to arriving at the hotel. Clerk informed me that I had not made a reservation with the hotel directly, which is what is thought that I had called. He said everything was already paid for and I would have to go back to the source. I tried to cancel on line, since I was sitting in the hotle parking lot upset. I was told I could not and had to talk to customer service. After holding for 30 mins I gave up and then stopped to pull up the reservation on my phone. I was charged a service fee of $15.99. This is outrageous as I was not informed. The agent lied about the room, did not tell me about the truth about the cancellation policy. Complete deception on this companies fault or at the least the agent. BEWARE.
Never contacted these clowns yet when confirmation came back it was through them. Never logged onto their website, yet when my reservation came back it was through Reservation.com. Don't use them. They cheated me, they will cheat you.
I pulled into the hotel, in the parking lot was a police standoff, 3-4 cars, officers all over pointing guns... so my wife and I left. When I called the hotel, the manager told me that I booked through reservations.com (a third party company, which was news to me) so he couldn't do anything about it to help me and apologized up and down. So I called reservations.com, they could care less. Said I was on the hook for the money, nothing they would do. When a company doesn't even care about the safety of their customers, they want you to cross a police standoff to get in... That's less than 1 star service.
They put the wrong date on and then wouldn't switch the date even though the hotel said that they have room to switch. The reps I talked to would not help so now I have a meeting with my bank to dispute the charges. What a rip off.
Their website appears to be the hotel website. They charge extra excessive fees. They do not refund and it is not made clear until after you pay. They take all money up front.
I got to this website after clicking the wrong link on a google search for a hotel. The site is carefully constructed to make it look as though you are on the hotel's own website. They ended up adding approximately $140 to a room advertised for $309 (the exact amount added was 42.6%). The hotel informed me that the taxes are 14.7%, so not paying close enough attention cost me about a hundred dollars. It's my fault. I should have been more careful. Rookie mistake! Live and learn.
But at least I can warn others: DO NOT USE reservations.com.
Was traveling in NC need room for 2 in Mount Airy could hardy understand agent was able to book room
But come to find out it was Mount Airy California. Tried to call hotel explain what happened no help, called
reservations.com support ….keep in mind I wasn't asking for refund or compensation just to rebook at correct state they were no help and refused to rebook at correct state and city. Poor customer relations,
Poor business to use…there's a reason they get 1.7 rating out of 5 on any review sites, plus no bbb rating
Please book through trusted sites or directly with hotel. Be careful there site pops up first when requesting
Reservations online not actual hotel.
I used Reservation.com for an emergency stay at a hotel in Reedley, CA. They charged a service fee that was taxable and a cancellation fee. I will NEVER use this site again. I was refunded the cancellation fee, but I used a different card and site to pay for the hotel. Now I still have to pay for the original booking.
I made a reservation what I though was directly with the Hilton. I tried to cancel one minute after I made the reservation. I was greeted by a rude and sassy customer service agent. She didn't listen to my issue just repeated I can cancel your reservation but no refund will be refunded. What? NO REFUNDS! I was charged $51.00 more than I should have. Fee's What! BE AWARE OF RESERVATIONS.COM
There should be a class action suit against this company for FRAUD.
Reservations.com is a 3rd party to Expedia and they take no responsibility for the actions. SCAM SCAM SCAM!
They don't even deserve 1 star. Good luck even speaking to a representative. Even when you do what the hotel asks to get a refund they will immediately stop responding to emails and and will not return calls
I booked a reservation not knowing i was using an American company and they charge in American funds. I thought i was on the hotels site as this company hides the fact that they charge $26.99 service charge and a $30 administrate fee. It cost me $313.60 with them and if i booked with the hotel it was $243.60. This company is a fraud, do not use them at all. I will call the company to cancel now.
Reservations.com is refusing to change an error that they made from a king bed to two queen without charging me for a full cancellation. This is outrageous service. I will never use them again
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
