I paid additional $162.23 to book through for two nights by booking through Reservations.com
Thought I was contacting Ramada Penticton direct and got talking with these con artists: I just wanted to inquire about rates, agent convinced me to book as there were to be no fees, full refund. Called to cancel 10 minutes later and was informed that there's a $16 service feed to cancel. The agent had read some sort of disclaimer, but read it so fast and completely unintelligible way that fell for it. Disgusted.
I thought this was a direct reservation through Mariott and it is one week before the date I am supposed to check in and the hotel doesn't have my reservation. I will NEVER book through a third party! What a pain!
Made a mistake and did not see their fine print on a reservation. It went throgh as nonrefindable. Called immediately to change the reservation to a refundable one and willing to upgrade to refundable price. Agent just said no. Talked to supervisor and she would not help.
BUYER BE AWARE AND WARY OF THIS COMPANY.
BEWARE check final total before using this site. Or better yet DON'T USE. They add 3 times the actual taxes and fees. Plus an additional $19.99 service fee.
Site appeared to be the online booking site for the hotel, but it was not. You have to expand a box to determine the rate is not refundable. No-are on the text exposed on the page does it say non-refundable.
Called later in the day to cancel and found out everything ways pre-paid - room, service fee, taxes, etc. and they will not refund.
Had to check out a day early. Requested to make change 36 hours ahead - couldn't be done.
Do not recommend utilizing Reservations.com
Livid told wrong information phone number popped up on hotel website acted like they were them. Deceptive
Booked a family get away with them. I had to cancel my trip and they did refund my money but not before adding another identical charge to my card. It doesnt say reservation.com on the charge so the lady at the call center basically stole close to 1000 dollars from me. They acknowlege that its an identical amount but refuse to admit that it was on their end that the money was stolen
I tried to book a room direct with Hampton for $157. I was on a Hampton site but all of a sudden without me realizing I apparently was dealing with resevations.com. I gave my info for my credit card and then all of a sudden it was a done deal and I was being charged over $225. I never saw these extra charges and when I tried to cancel they said I could not. I am trying to dispute the charges but they never gave me a confirmation number so I have to wait for it to go through then dispute the charges. AAAARRRRRGGGG
I tried to modify a 1 night reservation (arrive 1 day later) for a hotel, 9 days out from original booking in low season, no flexibility even though if I booked hotel direct - would not have been a problem and no change fee, understand if there was a reasonable admin fee, I lost the full 220.00 price of room - shame on reservations.com
I needed an emergency hotel room on the night of 12/30/23, after helping my sister clean up after a flood.
I did not want to drive the 2.5 hours tired and sleepy. I booked the hotel 9.53 PM. They booked me a hotel room at a Super 8. Knowing I would be getting into the room late I requested a late arrival.
When I arrived at the Super 8 at 4:12 am Sunday morning very tired, the Hotel was closed.
So I was forced to find a other hotel. They did not want to refund my room
This is a awful service.
We stay at a Holiday Inn in VA when we do shows. It has a special rate for us. My girlfriend did a quick search for Holiday Inn so we could reserve our rooms...and a site came up with a Holiday Inn logo. She calle it and asked to make reservations for a certain date and that we wanted the special rate given to us that was negotiated with the inn itelf and our promoter. The customer agent said sure and quoted us a rate of 119 bucks...it seemed high but we took it...with the stipulation that it was non-refundable. Little did she know that theis was NOT the HOliday Inn but this reservations.com presenting themselves as the Holiday Inn. We booked. I noticed that this was extrordinarily high and said something was wrong. We directly called the HOliday Inn in the specific city and found out the rate for us was actually 82 bucks...and the difference between the res.com an our rate was 39 bucks a night. We called back to res.com and said that they misrepresented themselves as being HOliday Inn and wanted a refund. They refused. They cheated us out of 240 bucks and seemed content to keep up their ruse of pretending to be Holiday Inn. I guess we will have to appeal to the Credit Card company and see about a refund. Crooked company that lies and misrepresents itself as something else. Hope everyone sees this and remembers this
They lead you to believe you are booking on the hotel's web site and also make no indication that the prices are in US dollars (we are in Canada as well as the hotel we booked) until your credit card goes through. If you cancel, there is a $25 non refundable charge so you are somewhat stuck. I'll bet this is where these scammers make all their money, hook people in and get the $25 once they figure out it's a rip off and cancel. You see, the $25 non refundable charge is in the fine print at the bottom of the confirmation the send after the fact. I feel silly getting sucked in so easily but live and learn. If I could give a zero star, that's what they would get.
I googled a specific hotel to reservations. From the appearance of the website, picture of hotel, etc. I thought I was on that hotel website and so I made a reservation. Little did I know that I actually made the reservations with reservations.com. In the meantime, I needed to cancel my reservation, I went to the link to cancel and it wanted to charge me to cancel. I tried to cancel and could not. I then called the hotel who cancelled for me. I tried again to make sure I was cancelled and still was unable to do so. So I called the hotel again and they confirmed my cancelation. But I ended up being charged anyway. Long story short, I could not prove my cancellation so I have been charged for a room that I cancelled. Lesson learned...check the web address to make sure it is not reservations.com. I was totally duped by them.
Went to what appeared to be Hyatt website only to find out later that I was somehow on the reservations.com site. Only after trying to change the reservation did I learn that it was not Hyatt's site, my card had been charged both for $117 for one night's stay and $64 for "service fee" neither refundable if reservation was cancelled. Their site masqueraded as Hyatt and sucked me in as a non-savvy guy. I feel I got ripped off.
So I thought I was on the hotel site directly; reserved the room; and then with the confirmation I see it is reservations.com, the room is non-refundable. I called within 5 minutes of my booking, but were very unhelpful and refund - well let's see shall we
Charged me the full amount for a 3 day hotel stay 1 month ahead of time. I canceled within a couple of hours on the same day, again 1 month ahead of time. They refused to refund me, saying the reservation was non-refundable. I called the hotel and the reservation never even got through to them. So what service did I pay for? Apparently for Reservations.com to pocket my money and deliver nothing. I am disputing this with the credit card company (Citibank) to get this scam reversed!
Daughter booked wrong dates and "Rose" has basically told me they will not refund or make changes, but I will recieve an official decision in 7-10 days.
I booked a three night reservation at a hotel in Pennsylvania thru their website and there confirmation email said that there was a $72 fee for using the service. I did not see any mention of the $72 non-refundable fee. I immediately called them and in an attempt tp get the fee refunced but they said the fee could not be refunded. Do not use this web site.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
