They booked a room for me at a hotel that not only was non existent, but was sold to another chain. When arriving, I found the new hotel chain and found they charged me $50 less then reservations.com, plus they charged me the handling fee. When I complained, they said it was too late to change and I didn't cancel within their time limit. How is that possible? YOU'RE the experts who should have known that the chain you reserved for me didn't exist any longer and was a completely different hotel change. Nothing but con men
I didn't even realize I had somehow ended up on the Reservations.com site - I thought I was booking directly on the hotels site. Imagine my surprise when I got a charge on my credit card - in USD when I'm in Canada and booked a Canadian hotel - and then couldn't cancel b/c it was non-refundable. The hotel itself has a refundable policy 24 hours in advance of the booking but this Reservations.com site said non refundable immediately - even though it was weeks out. Be very careful to NEVER end up booking using this site and/or read the cancellation policy very clearly (sadly I didn't notice it until I found the confirmation email in my Junk mail - too late then).
They pose as the hotel you ate booking with, charge extra fees and then did not pay the hotel and I had to pay again. Problems getting my money from them. Suggest not booking through them as you may have problems.
When I booked this hotel room for a 2 night stay 50 days from now for my son's hockey tournament they charged my credit immediately for the total room charge which was not noted anywhere and then once the reservation was confirmed it told me the room was non-refundable.
I called back immediately as I spoke to the hotel and they said I needed to make the reservation thru them to ensure our room was next to our teammates and they would not cancel my reservation. This was 20 minutes after I booked my room with them. So not only did they charge my credit card immediately they also were unwilling to cancel the reservation so we could be grouped in with our team. The person I spoke with "Yan" was polite but obviously not willing to help do the right thing. It is so sad companies like this still exist this day in age.
Book with reservation. Com hotel in London quoted £167, charged my bank £259 +£7 charges. I see they've blocked me from their site. Avoid these crooks 😡
I tried to book the hotel on their website and was directed to this website Reservations.com which is a fraud.
I tried to cancel the reservation 5 minutes later and they denied my total refund.
I have by mistake book a room on reservations.com and called them right away once I realized that they said if they change or cancel I will lose everything those people seems to never made mistakes in their entire life. Be aware of this website please do not reserve on it
I believed I was booking with hotel directly. Chose this hotel because they had an airport shuttle. After booking, called the hotel to setup my airport shuttle time to discover that its airport shuttle did not operate at the time I needed. Attempted to cancel my reservation and informed it was made through a third party. Contacted Reservations.com and they initially said they would not refund. After discussing the situation, and it had been only an hour since I made the booking, was informed that they MAY refund but needed to review the situation. After seven days they sent an email refusing to refund. Had I known this was a third party site I would have done the research and learned this is a very common tactic of this outfit. These people have terrible reviews and many complaints with the BBB.
Be warned this site is in American dollars even if you are booking hotels in Canada. Not helpful at all to reserve the problem.
My mom who is 78 booked 2 rooms using Reservation.com. She thought she was booking with the hotel. We arrived at the hotel and were told we had booked only 1 room. The hotel couldn't find the second room. My mom who just drove 4 hours decided to pay for another room basically because she had NO CHOICE.
When my mom contacted Reservation.com to try to figure out what happened she was told basically, "You didn't read the fine print and you are not getting refunded."
This company is garbage. They are misleading people and swindling people out of there money. It is illegal to take steal people's money.
Canceled a booking one hour after i made it and was told by the customer service rep that i would get a full refund including the 45 dollar booking fee. Checking my statement they charged me the fee and refused to refund the fee.
Not only was service fees not disclosed, I was not aware the charges is in USD! Then I discovered immediately after booking, not even 2 mins later) there is no money back if you cancel. My option was yes you can cancel but you will NOT get your money back? If I can give this site a ZERO that is my preference. THIEVES!
Just google a hotel in Canada, I live in Canada as well. I didn't realize the site which came up was Reservations.com. They show limited rooms, and none of the extra costs. In addition, although not stated their costs show in USD. Its not until you get the confirmation email, they show in USD. So even though I live and am staying in Canada I will pay additional exchange fees on top of this. BE AWARE OF GOOGLE PROMOTING PAID SITES over other, and although it looked like the hotel it was Reservations.com WORSE trying to talk to the help line and sort it out... terrible service, basically said, "You confirmed, its your problem". Will NEVER make the mistake of using RESERVATIONS.COM again.
My boyfriend and I booked a hotel in CT, through Reservations.com. We arrived on 8/3/24 and within 20 minutes realized that we would not be able to stay. The room was next to the ice machine and obviously there was no sound insulation in the room. The room air conditioner/heating unit was on a wall with windows and behind curtains. It was a first floor room so you could either have privacy and no air conditioning or air conditioning and no privacy! The room (and actually the whole hotel!) had a horrible musty odor. The toilet seat was broken and there wasn't any shelving for toiletries.
I went to the desk to say we wouldn't be staying and the reasons why. The gentleman at the desk was very kind, apologized and told me to call the manager the next day. I called the manager and she said she would grant a complete refund. She explained that I needed to call Reservations.com, tell them the issue and that once they contacted her, she would tell them to give me a complete refund.
Reservations.com said they would look into this situation and that if a refund was due, I would receive it within 7 to 10 business days. This seemed like a long time especially since the hotel was so willing to give me a refund asap. I called them on the 10th business day because my credit card had not been refunded. The said they needed time to look into the issue. It has now been 15 days so I just sent another email today asking what the issue was with the refund. They looked into it and said someone had made an error and it would take another 7 to 10 business days for my refund to be processed! This is not acceptable! My advice to anyone looking into booking a hotel room: DO NOT GO THROUGH RESERVATIONS.COM!
I would give a zero, if possible. They lead you to believe that you are simply reserving a room on a hotels website, but immediately take the money from your account. I called immediately and was told it was a non-refundable reservation. The agent was not helpful at all. You are better off calling your hotel and reserving with them to avoid the extra $76.00 booking fee thst they hide in the fine print. Worst customer service ever.
Didn't allow check in and refused refund. Was told the hotel was responsible and hotel says reservations.com is responsible. Both denied check in and refund.
Do NOT book through reservations.com. They rip you off big time… I was told this website was booking me for park stay and fly… did not include the parking or the shuttle after they told me it did so had to cancel once I called hotel and realized I was lied to, then I called to cancel and they didn't even refund me all of my money. They still owe me $40 which I have been trying to get back and they said they will contact me 5-10 business days to let me know. Unprofessional and very misleading, very inconveniencing as well, this is like one of those scam companies who just want your visa info and to rip you off and pretend they didn't.
I am very disappointed with my experience using "reservation.com." I booked a hotel in Canada, assuming the charges would be in Canadian dollars, but the transaction was made in US dollars instead. To make matters worse, "reservation.com" also added an administration fee, which was also charged in USD. This unexpected currency conversion and additional fee significantly increased the total cost of my reservation. I would not recommend using this service due to these hidden charges and lack of transparency.

NEVER use Reservations.com. They drop the call (disconnect) whenever they don't want to help. The guy was booking the wrong hotel. I tried to tell him it was the wrong address and NOT to charge my card when he asked for confirmation to book, I said "NO." Then the call dropped and guess what...he booked it - wrong hotel. I had to call multiple times and the call would drop whenever I asked for a refund. They even put me on hold and lied to me, telling me they called the hotel and canceled and were seeking a refund from the hotel. Hotel person said they never called or canceled the room. I waited on hold while they "pretended" to call the hotel. They keep telling me they'll expedite my request for a refund and will email me in 24 to 48 hours. 4 days later I can't get a response.
**Title: Dishonest and Unreliable - Stay Away!**
I had the misfortune of booking through reservations.com recently, and it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. First off, they are incredibly dishonest with their pricing. They will overcharge you without any remorse.
Trying to get a refund was even worse. They gave me the runaround for weeks, promising to process it but conveniently finding reasons to deny it every time I called. When they finally agreed to refund, they sneakily deducted ridiculous processing fees, which left me with significantly less than I initially paid.
This company operates with no integrity whatsoever. They will defraud you and then hide behind their policies. Save yourself the headache and money - find a reputable booking service instead. I certainly won't be using reservations.com ever again, and I strongly advise others to steer clear unless you enjoy being scammed. They kept my $26.89 after fighting them with my bank. Crooks
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
