I booked a trip a few weeks back and wanted to make some changes to my reservation. I called three times and talked to 4 people, none of which spoken clear English. All I wanted to do was add one night and change the room type. They refused and said I could make any changes even tho I had already looked and many of the rooms I wanted were available. So I told them just to cancel my original reservation and I would rebook immediately after through them again. They said there is no refund for my cancellation. Mind you, it's still two weeks until that trip. I will never do look at them for an option ever again and I will let everyone I know that they need to look elsewhere for reservations. They could have easily taken care of this and made me a happy customer. Instead I will be speaking negatively about them from here on out. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. Please!
Book the room on July 5 And on arrival Was told they had no Handicap accessible rooms available. Upon talking to reservations.com they refused after several contacts to refund our money. Said it was up to the hotel and hotel refused to refund. They do not stand behind what was booked. They care nothing about ADA standards. Do not use reservations.com they just plain suck.
I thought I was booking at a hotel & apparently I eas not. Tried to cancel 72 hours prior & get a refund-not happening! Other sites refund not this outfit. DO not use this site, they aren't in business for u
I inadvertantly tried to make a 2 night reservation in TN. The site sppesred to be associated with the hotel. On the page was a book now soace which led me to an agent. He reseached the dates, toik my info and processed the transaction. At no time did he advise about canceling reservations. Nothing was indicated that this was a restricted booking.
When the confirmation was received in approx 10 mins, very extensive small print stated if cxl was made, a one night chg plus tax would be witheld. This reservation was for one room 2 months out. Since cxl'ing, a text has been received saying $203.50 has been processed to be rec'd in 10 days. That means they chg'd $203.50 for a 10 min transaction for a reservation 2 months out. This is a scam system falsely representing the hotel. Tough lesson but one I will continue to preceed chasing and exposing their tactics. Since the hotel has lost the booking due to my cxl'g. Does tge hotel get the $203.50 I have been charged? This is criminal and needs to be stopped.
I am speechless. Do not under any circumstances book with Reservations.com. They hide outrageous charges so when you book you have no idea. Trying to resolve is impossible. You talk with a person in the Philipines that will not help.
Never saw the extra charges until confirmation. Will dispute charge on my credit card. Didn't specify non refundable.
Overcharged prices on room, went to cancel, and got caught with agreeing to a 'slight' discount (pressed the wrong keys), which probably worked to my benefit anyway, as my sister cancelled with reservations.com over a year and a half ago, and have not been refunded. Will not, will never, won't ever, use this site again.
Zero stars. Tried to book a room at the Marriott. Reservations.com came up as as sponsored ad. I learned my lesson to never book off a third party site again. First of all the room price seemed aligned to the rate we normally pay for a night stay at this hotel. The site auto populated to Canada - knew we were located in Canada. Anyway I booked the room. 5 minutes later I notice a booking confirmation email that lists everything in USD. So my $250 room was now $345 USD (we normally pay around $225 CAD for this room). So I called immediately. And I spoke to two very rude customer service agents who refused to refund me (and one actually mocked me). The cancellation policy on their site said that if I cancelled within 4 days before the date of travel I would have to pay for a full night's stay (nothing about not being able to cancel before then). My confirmation email said that I could have cancelled before May 28th with no penalty (not helpful as I booked the Reservation on June 1st and couldn't go back in time). So today I get another email back from them saying that they've looked at my case and stand by their decision (that I was in the wrong) and will not refund me. So now this mother of two young kids, full time job, needs to spend more time disputing this with my credit card company (who already assured me there would be no issue as this company is not legally supposed to operate this way). Unfortunately I have had to cancel my credit card as I do not want these fraudsters to have my credit card details. This means a week without a credit card and an hour or two setting my direct deposits again. This mistake will end costing me 7 hours of my time in the end. This company is a scam.
I don't know how I even got booked through Reservations.com, and it was a big mistake! Not only did I over pay through them, it was a noncancellable contract. When you call them for help don't expect any. Once they screw you they keep the pressure on. Please double check where you get redirected on any website and if into these people get out as fast as you can.
We thought we were taking to the Hotel, But instead we click on Reservation.com phone number. But this dont give them the right to Take us for Money, Shame on you. We booked 3 Night.Tried to cancel on hour or so after booking. They said no. Tried to just take the one night and fund back the two night, they said no.
Now as we are drive out of an evacuation and trying to book a room for the night this does not give Reservation.com the right to, been Scammed by this company. While booking, they know and is defrauding the public. Shame on you!
I have made many reservations with different hotels. That were refundable. Not one charged a service fee. Except reservations.com. Almost $70 Canadian! Not impressed
Would not let us cancel our reservation. We are moving into a new house and it closed early, therefore, we no longer needed a place to stay - they would not refund our money for nights not stayed (over $1000).
We thought we were calling the hotel directly, but it was a reservation.com number - we feel betrayed and misled and now are out a lot of money. The customer service were terrible - no empathy, no flexibility, no compassion. So upset over this... Stay far far away!
Easy to book with, but know I know why they needed all of my credit card info, called back the next day to cancel, because we realized we weren't going to be in the area and they refused to refund, said it was non refundable for any reason. We will NEVER EVER USE RESERVATIONS. COM! I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. THEN THEY CANCELED MY RESERVATIONS AND WILL POCKET MY MONEY AND REBOOK THE ROOMS FOR THE SAME AMOUNT, BEWARE OF SCAMMING!
Unable to change or cancel a reservation (for 5/24/24) I made for a visiting instructor, even though my confirmation email says I can if I contact them before day of check-in. Liars, liars, liars! This is a dishonest company - even the representative in the call center Apologized for the lack of clarity on the confirmation email & said this happens all the time!
When I called the Wyndham resorts in Charleston they interjected my call I was unaware I was speaking to reservations.com as I repeatedly asked is this reservations they said yes until I received my bill on my bill was a $55 service charge for them making my reservation in addition to the fact that when we had to leave one day early due to emergency to come home specifically called ask if I would receive a refund and was told yes I got the itinerary from the main desk I got the paperwork from the main desk providing them to show out of checkout I also got the business card for the management on duty I have been fighting with this company since September of 2023 to no avail Wyndham has been absolutely no help also I have tried to file a grievance with my bank but I'm not disputing the original charge I'm disputing the lack of a refund this company is a scam scam scam I don't know how they interject the calls from you to the hotel the hotel picked up the phone transfer me to reservations and it was reservation.com be aware be aware I have lost over $300 because of them they will not give me my money back... The only reason they got a one star is because there's no no stars
Stay away from this site. A TOTAL RIP OFF! I cancelled my reservation within a minute, and was Charged a cancelation fee and the email said I'll get a refund within 15 business days. I called customer service on day 12 for the refund and was told that I wasn't eligible for a refund. And they never refunded me.
When I was on the site for the hotel I didnt realize it was a booking company based in the US There was nothing Indicating rates were in US dollars. I certainly will make sure not to use this company again. Also $40.00 booking fee. Are you kidding me!
This company rises to the top of Google searches by sponsorship. It is cleverly concealed in the Google search. They added 35% to a hotel reservation and lied to me about availability. I was traveling and not able to check the room rate until I checked in and it was too late to cancel the reservation. I called and complained to them and they told me to read their policies. Do not use these crooks.
I accidentally book at the wrong hotel. I called to cancel but they told me they are keeping my money. They charged me $1500 and they said they are keeping my money even though it was a mistake and needed to book at another hotel. What an evil company! I would have gladly rebook with the proper hotel but after that there is no way! PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE! THEY ARE SCAMMERS!
Thought I was calling the hotel directly, the agent was very clever not to mention she was a reservation.com agent. I ended up in an Econo Lodge in Savannah, again she did not mention there was a $19.95 fee! Just gave me the total price. The hotel was disgusting, dirty, curtains hanging off rail, lights not working. I called reservation.com to change out of this hotel, was on hold for 20 mins. No help from the agent and was told I could not change hotels and would not receive any money back. Beware! When you think you are calling the actual hotel on site, you will be on to reservations.com and will have no comeback when you want to cancel. The fee will always be non-refundable. Never again! I wrote to reservations.com to complain and they never responded.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
