This is completely ridiculous. I get banned for 7 days for sending a text to a verified 27 year old woman. Who I texted and told them after talking back and forth for awhile that she should bring me to work and stick me under the desk. We text a few more minutes, I get off get back on and am banded for sending sexually explicit content to a minor. There are the pictures of her Verified account stating her age.
Reddit really hates white people. Reliable as CNN or a gossipy 14 year old with an axe to grind. Lots of censorship from mods who obviously have an agenda. They quarantine subs for no other reason than they oppose their views. But everyone already knows this.
There is just SO much stuff on this site. Pictures, videos, quips... I don't have time to sit and go through everything. Typically, if it's topical enough you will end up seeing it on another social media site anyway.
Reddit is rampant with robots and trolls that are extreme left. It used to be neutral when it first came into existence but someone influenced this site financially or through their own views from the top.
Reddit is definitely a website with the largest community. I've seen a lot of negative reviews here but most of them are so out of context. They're censoring your speech because you either talk nonsense or you're being too offensive.
In several groups this has occurred. I wrote a question without any details because they were not necessary, and each post was removed.
Reddit has become a dictator and over saturated with unfunny stupid memes. Yet I can't post simple questions.
After Yahoo Answers ended I thought this would be a place for me to hang out, and honestly I barely use it because it is not the same as Yahoo Answers. The Censorship and rules is on a new level plus the awful memes. When you have regular community members as mods it's a bad thing.
Regular people as mods or group leads has never been a good thing. I've hated mods since 2007. They are reckless and will censor people if they state something that triggers them. They are weak.
Reddit is good for read only but to post, it's not ness anymore.
After however many years of dealing with the far right cesspool that is The Donald, reddit finally said enough.
Despite the fact that the users can still use the site, and that numerous other conservative and right leaning subs exist, the whining children of that sub rushed here to tell everyone how horribly left-leaning the site is because they *eventually* don't truck with open threats and racism.
I'd give fives stars but reddit really should have done it sooner. Still, seeing everyone crying that they don't get to suckle Daddy Trump's button mushroom in full view of the rest of the site has made it worth it.
Probably one star if you hate people who aren't American by birth, or if you didn't know or can't handle the notion that the 1st Amendment applies to the government, not private enterprise.
Reddit has slowly gotten worse over the years and since accepting money from a Chinese censorship company any opinions that are not agreed with are swiftly silenced while communist subreddits that advocate for the murder of cops are allowed to reach the front page. Not worth it anymore.
Provides an interesting service, but if someone wants to bully you, they aren't for removing the comment, but would rather you fight back at the bullies. Anybody could say anything, even if it's not true or hateful with a bullying intent here. I'd give it more stars only if they got rid of the bullying.
I'm the social network geek and I heard about Reddit for all across the globe. I decided to try it and face some difficulties. First - it's hard to navigate through reddit after years of using insta and facebook. Second - sometimes I cannot understand what are peoples' aims and interests. On the other hand, there are thousands of unique subreddits with priceless content, so I'll continue my way to explore reddit.
Bans people for things others do daily. But, they have their favorites and certain moderators pick and choose only to enforce the rules on those whose opinions they don't like. People say disgusting things and their accounts and comments are untouched. Don't believe their lies about following the "rules" they twist to cover their personal discrimination.
Reddit is my favorite online community for its diverse range of topics, lively discussions, and sense of community. Whether I'm looking for advice, news, or entertainment, there's a subreddit for it. I appreciate the platform's commitment to free speech and the ability to engage with like-minded individuals from around the world. However, the interface can be overwhelming for newcomers, and moderation can vary between subreddits.
This platform is so full of bugs its ridiculous.anytime you do anything you get a bunch of error messages. Not to mention 90 percent of the communities just auto reject everything so good luck getting anything posted at all. This platform will literally make you want to scream and smash your phone to pieces. The ui is so outdated it isnt even funny. Its not worth the foort idk how anyone even still uses it
Someone within reddit clearly doesn't know what harassment is or what can constitute as harassment. The warning they gave out was "a direct message on x day" instead of what was within that message that could be considered harassment. This does not help them and definitely does not help the potential offender. This is done because they clearly know that there was no rule infraction and to make others think that this gives them creditability. This does not.
What could potentially be a learning aid is nothing but a hindrance done to give a false protection. They know what they are doing and that is why they are doing it this way. Reddit clearly isn't the site it used to be. They protect toxic users and subreddits. They clearly have an agenda which makes the site completely unhealthy.
Tired to use reddit's political memes, they block even the most bipartisan memes that make a great point, Reddit is a useless platform. Don't bother with it.
I've been trying to delete my account the past few days it keeps saying fail to delete please try again this site is full of fake stories and when the OP gets told what you think they get butt hurt and have your comment removed by MODS stay off this site it's very toxic
Extremely rude moderators in some subreddits. Remove posts for no real reasons other than the mod disagrees with your view. Horrid liberal ethos that permeates almost every post/comment on the site.
Masquerades as a wholesome news aggregating site to disguise a sinister, insidious agenda.
This site seems to think that banning people with unpalatable opinions will somehow end the problem.
By unpalatable, I'm speaking of people who make racist jokes.
Drug addicts and paedophiles are ok though.
It all depends on the sub you're in. So. Many. Subs are moderated by twats with the maturity of a toddler. Overall, their gratuitous concerns about racism are bull. While they're trying to garner public approval of their fake progressive concerns, they also have subs called Watch People Die, subs that denigrate women, subs that glorify sex with and abuse of animals, etc. etc. You can find some good, helpful people on there, but you're going to have to wade through A LOT of crap. It's mostly obnoxious, depraved punks, and the mods are such a joke. It really is no better than 4chan, Facebook, YouTube, and so on.
However, all this talk of communism, etc. in these reviews is sour grapes on the part of scum that was probably legitimately kicked out.
I crave what Reddit could be, but all of Reddit's high and mighty rules are complete BS.
To any full grown adult out there interested in using the Reddit site please save yourself the trouble and check out other more useful sites like Quora, and even Y/A (which I know is outdated), but is so much more user friendly. Reddit like many have mentioned is an online interface filled with social rejects, harsh but true. These people, or in other words trolls will tear you down at any chance they get. Ask a serious question and they all come hounding you down and completely dismiss the question to simply make their point. I have also been in contact with those managing the sub-sections on Reddit and they could careless about your post/s.
Answer: Absolutely cancer. Unless you're an NPC without a brain of your own.
Answer: Use sitejabber, much better. Since they don't make you jump through hoops to post a review and they don't censor negative reviews. TONS of bad sites online. TONS of corrupt sites. Clean up the internet. Break up these monopolistic companies.
Answer: Don't trust reviews from reddit because the site is censored to get rid of negative reviews. Censored by corrupt moderators and admins.
Reddit has a rating of 1.4 stars from 528 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Reddit most frequently mention free speech, social media and front page. Reddit ranks 499th among Social Network sites.
