The company has garnered significant criticism for its customer service and reliability, with numerous reviews highlighting issues such as unresponsive support, delayed transactions, and problems with gift card balances. Customers frequently report that their attempts to resolve issues are met with inadequate responses or no communication at all, leading to feelings of frustration and distrust. While a few users express satisfaction with their experiences, the overwhelming sentiment points to a lack of accountability and support, suggesting potential customers should approach with caution and consider alternatives for purchasing gift cards.

My gift card did not work and I contacted raise for a refund. They told me wait 24 hours try the card again. I did and then they ghosted me. They block your ip I have proof I used lte and shut off wifi and got through no problem after waiting days. Do not use these peoples service. Scam... chats are 3 min apart. Lte agent wifi my ip no agent.
Ordered a bunch of gift cards. The numbers do not work so I asked for a refund and I was told I have to get a letter from the company saying they don't work. I've gotten the runaround from the company and Raise won't lift a finger. I'm out almost $100 and will never bother again. The few dollars I would have saved is wasted chasing a letter to get my money back.
I ordered 4 sonic giftcards and none will work, even though the balance is correct. They had me contact sonic customer service to replace them. Sonic said I needed to go to the sonic I purchased them from, which I cant. Raise said they will not refund unless I get a written statement from Sonic that the cards wont work. Sonic said the store I bought them from would have to do that (which I didnt buy from). Raise said tough $#*!.
Love buying gift cards at well under actual dollar cost! Some can fetch you upwards of 30% off, just by looking. I always go to RAISE before I have to purchase anything as you can save money instantly.
Love the service,
Thank you Raise!
So I *tried* to order my first gift card through raise. Wanted to save a couple quick bucks (literally like 5 dollars) on a restaurant I was visiting. Said most giftcards are sent quickly. Waited and waited and waited and received an email saying my order was cancelled with no explanation why. Wow. What a waste of time. Clearly this company wants no business and wants to lose customers. Last time I waste my time with this stupid site just to save a couple bucks? Not worth the aggravation.
I appreciate the discounted gift card prices available. But, sadly, the 3 gift cards I purchased offered CASHBACK, which I never received; even 3 weeks now after I sent 3 emails to Customer Support.
I'm very dissappointed that Raise hasn't even responded to my emails. They even have a CONTACT BY PHONE prompt to click on, but IT DOESN'T WORK! When I click on it, it doesn't do anything.
I am considering contacting the BBB to report them for their FALSE ADVERTISING SCAM OFFERS OF CASH BACK
I placed a $210 order tonight & it was a nightmare experience. First, the site kept asking me to verify my email. Which I did. But it kept asking. I gave up & bypassed to make a purchase. Apparently that angered order processing who canceled my order. I tried to verify again and re place my order. I was suspended. I spoke with two chat agents. One was kind but unhelpful. The other was snide. I hope that I get my money back. Two takeaways. One, Raise is ripping off Rakuten as Raise is unusable inside Rakuten's app. And two, I almost bought a Google Play gift card unaware Google Play can instantly and permanently suspend your account for using a resold gift card. I hope someone sees this review and soares themselves the hassle and uncertainty of the status of a large charge on their card
I bought a 500 $ gift card from Raise. When I went to ise I found out it had zero balance!
I tried contacting customer service which was a nightmare, there is no way you can talk to an actual person by phone. The only way is online chat which has limited hours and doesn't always work.
It took about 2 months to finally get them to refund me, still didn't get the refund. Every few days you have to chat with them to follow up and keep things movimg. And every step takes "7 business days" which actually takes 10 days.
Absolutely horrible. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM
Over 12 hours ago, I purchased 3 gift cards and the money to pay for them was taken by Raise from my debit card almost immediately. I chose to print them off via my email, which is supposed to be an almost immediate option for being able to use the cards, as it's too late to send physical ones by mail. I'm still waiting to get the emails! I have tried EVERYTHING. They claim to have "live chat" but it's actually just a bot. Then when you ask the bot for "live chat" it provides a link that leads to an "email us"... the only option! I tried calling them at *******422. I chose option 2. Got a prerecorded message saying "thank you for your patience," etc. Was on hold for less than a minute, then I hear the "hang up" signal! This happened 3 TIMES IN A ROW!
NEVER AGAIN! STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM!
No phone help! Live Chat is Robo that does not respond to you. *******@raise.com does not get back to you and they don't ship it delivery confirmation. Called AMEX and disputed charges and BBB. If someone says they did not receive card just take card number and turn it off and ship a new one.
Not worried about money, Amex will handle that. Just poor customer service and support!
COVID LAZY
Order a physical gift care on Nov. 13 2020. After 2 emails to Raise, I finally received the gift card on Dec 7,2020. It says right on the order slip that "gift cards are to be mailed within 3 business days". It was more like 13 business days. The gift card has teeth marks in it and is damaged to a point that I cannot give it as a gift. I'm not even sure if the merchant will be able to swipe the card as the damage is on the magnet strip side.
So far, I have not had any issues with Raise's electronic gift cards, but after reading so many negative reviews along with my most recent experience with this gift card, I think I might be done with Raise.
Purchased $150.00 in Cabelas vouchers.
When to Cabelas 3 days later to make a purchase. Cabelas says vouchers have zero balance. Tryed several times to redeem. Had to pay for the purchase with another means.
Called Raise for a refund and was told vouchers are good and would NOT issue a refund.
Stuck with $150.00 in vouchers that are useless according to Cabelas
Never buy a Raise anything again
They sold me a bogus gift card and will not refund my money. Thieves, con artists, cheats. I would never make another purchase from them again and I suggest you find other ways of saving money
I bought a target gift card from Raise.com and It has completely been in my possession. None of my target accounts have been compromised. I was only able to spend $105.55 of the $436.98 target gift card I purchased before this scammer bought $331.43 worth of items and cleaned up my gift card. I made a complaint 4 times and wrote a detailed email with a screenshot of all my purchases and the purchase that the scammer made but Raise didn't help me to get my money back even though they can easily find out if the original owner after selling me target gift card wiped out the card balance
They flat out stole $250 in giftcards from me, cancelled my payment and won't respond to my emails. Check trustpilot, Raise.com is nothing but a scam.
AWFUL. Bought a Gift Card 4 months ago, a $25 gift card at that. The card does not work! I have emailed/ called/ chatted with Raise customer service so so many times... scanned documentation to them etc. I have wasted so much time and they are still refusing me a refund!
Raise the worst place to sell a gift card. They take to long to pay i had to wait almost two months to get paid for the gift card i sold. If you wish to sell a card go to Card Pool they are very quick at getting your payment out
Be leery of selling your cards on this site. After listing a few with them to test the waters, I decided it was ok to list 5 cards at one time. After 5 days of them having my card's information while they were being reviewed, then denied, someone internally obtained 3 of #'s for sure and started to drain my balances and ship merchandise to an address in Illinois... I live in Kansas. It could be all 5, but I wasn't able to get more information from Walmart. Raise, did do some investigation into the matter, but found no problem on their end. I do appreciate that, but I know someone with Raise stole my card information and as of this date 2/6/20, they do have a "wolf in the hen house", if not more. The cards were scratched off by me, stored in a safe location and no one ever got my card numbers until I listed them on Raise. I am currently filing a police report to get the name & address where the merchandise was sent, which is what Raise could have done if they were truly concerned about internal theft in their company. Wife has used them for years buying cards with no issues and referred them to me to offload some extra cards. Now I am over $300 or more in the hole depending on if the thief stole other cards that will be charged backed to me at a later date... not counting the hours of time & money I have spent dealing with this mess.
They send empty giftcards and refuse to refund saying you used them when you haven't. The customer service is a complete lie and they get joy out of stealing from everyone.
Answer: I had a problem with the lowes gift cards i purchased from Raise as they did not work at lowes. It took upwards of 10 calls and over 3 months before I received my over $700 back. I will never buy anything on Raise again
Answer: People should unite and file a class action lawsuit against these guys, any attorneys reading this?
Answer: You check the balance on the business' website. For instance, if you have a McDonald's gift card, go to McDonald's website to check the card balance.
Answer: The usual issue is that someone will buy a gift card with a stolen credit card and then sell it to Raise (or others) for cash. Usually within 100 days the gift card issuer will find out when they have been charged back for the stolen card purchase, at which point they invalidate the card and zero the balance. Raise.com will refund you the unused balance on the card prior to it being zeroed out, but only within 60 days of your order. Their short protection policy limits their exposure if a high value card is invalidated and you come looking for a refund three months after you bought it. Every gift card reseller has a different policy for refunds. Some are as short as a few weeks, others last 100 days or more. Raise.com's 60 day policy is shorter than many of their competitors, which is why I don't use them much anymore. The lessons I have learned is only order cards you will use entirely within the next month, never gift them to others, and keep a spreadsheet if you order a lot of cards so you can keep track of balances. In all, I've had about 3% of the 200 cards I've ordered suddenly zeroed out. The majority were for improbably large amounts, which is why I now try and order lower value cards. One site suddenly listed 10 $100 gift cards for Jimmy Johns, a sub shop. One has to wonder who would order gift cards like this in the first place, only to put up for resale. It turned out the original buyer used a stolen credit card to buy them all and turned the proceeds into cash. The cards were all zeroed out. I have learned to be suspicious when a large number of high $ value cards in the same amount suddenly go up for sale. So while it may make sense to buy a $100 gift card for Sears, it usually isn't to buy a $100 gift card for Dunkin Donuts.
