I ordered a pair of leggings from Poshmark -
I had multiple pairs of exact leggings from same maker. When the Poshmark leggings arrived they were at least 3 inches longer and much larger than any of my exact leggings. There was no company tag on waistband as all other leggings have. I contacted Poshmark customer service, sent pictures and they did not help me in any way. Obviously these leggings were fakes, documented with photos and Poshmark did ZERO to make this right.
I had no idea about the bad business this site is supporting! So I purchased a skirt and a top in size XS from one of the sellers. Both items arrived and were obviously damaged and shrunken to children's size! I was shocked! The top measures 10.5" across the bust area! I had reached out to the brand and found out that it should measure 31.5 to 33"! I immediately contacted Poshmark, but a week later they have not allowed a refund! I am still in the process of trying to return this garbage, but am not getting anywhere. This is by far the worst shopping experience I've ever had. Do NOT waste your time and money with this horrible website!
I bought a pair of boots from seller on poshmark. They were deceitful with pictures and lighting and did not add color to description until after I refused to accept them. Poshmark sided with seller even though it was very obvious that the pictures were deceptive, if you have an issue they do not care about the evidence. They will side will seller. The first picture was the one shown on website. They appear gray. The second one is what I actually received. They are tan. Really don't believe they are even the same boot.
Despite proof of scams. Poshmark responds with form letters. In ordered 2 watches that have not been shipped (bundle deal) and they refuse to refund my money. The above bundle (2 watches), now says 1 watch for the same price as 2. See proof below.
Do Mercari, at least they messaging help, posh is ridiculously slow at answering your email and then they are no help at all. I can't get into my account, can't buy, can't list, can't sell. I have 600 listings that I guess I'm going to have to delete and start all over somewhere else. The other account has 102 items listed, even says at top it does, but there's nothing there
Do not bother unless you want 0% chance of customer service helping with incorrect listings. They are not only unhelpful, but also woefully dismissive. I purchased a pair of shoes listed as a baby's shoe (7) that was instead a big kids shoe (also 7). Because the shoe I received had the number 7 on it my request to return was denied despite numerous pictures clearly laying out the issue. The seller admitted to the error but because Poshmark had denied my return request they will not reopen the case and instead have put the blame on me for not double checking with the seller that they did in fact list the item correctly.
1 star is a huge over rating of this business.
I purchased five sweaters and a coat on Poshmark from one seller. I did do vetting by looking at the seller's comments and pictures. I also did my own price comparison. I didn't go in trying to get sweaters at 10 to 15% of their tag price either, though, because I wanted items that looked new. The seller offered 15% off for bundling and I asked for an additional 15% off when making an offer. Seller accepted and shipped my items four business days later. Every item came in as described by condition and size.
Advice for buyers: Poshmark is not for finding bargains. It's just getting discounts on clothing. Make sure you get pictures of every angle of your item, look at seller's reviews, and be prepared to wait up to 5 business days for an item to ship (and 2-3 more to receive).
I bought Harley riding boots... the boot said 8/12. Which is the size I take... The boot does not fit... cant get your foot past the ankle... They would not let me return them because the size in the boot was right. These boots have never been wore for good reason. They are made to small... Probably been sold more than once on this site.
Postmark violates it own policy, then offers credit for more as a solution. From their website-
"Note, using a brand name to falsely describe or promote an item violates trademark law, even if the item is not explicitly "counterfeit". For example, the use of the words "inspired by" followed by a brand (for example "inspired by Chanel") is prohibited on our platform. "
Spend elsewhere-
I got a genuine Dior Columbus avenue belt off of the posh mark site. The belt had been stored for years in the clothing drawer of the woman who sold the $300 belt for $25 dollars to me. When I received it was badly scuffed on the metal and body look a bit ashy from being thrown around the draw. This did not show in the pictures, but it was the real belt and I use it with my Columbus pouches that attach perfectly. I should have asked for more pictures. Heard you can get ripped off selling. Was going to sell my unused YSL and Baby Phat boots, but not sure after these reviews. I was lucky the belt was still worth the 25 dollars. My seller was fair in pricing that low.
If I could give it, zero stars, I absolutely would. As a seller, they put all the risk on you while taking high fees, they allow buyers to destroy your items send them back, and then you are out your item and any compensation.
They will accuse you of selling fakes as their way to not handle the situation of what the buyer did. You can have the receipt for the purchase of the item you can have time and date stamps photos showing the item left you in brand new condition, and they still will do nothing about it.
Worst platform ever
I've attached photos of the soiled disgusting nature to the item I received back
Have FEAR when ordering from here. No matter what, they don't except returns. Or you can ask 50 questions to the seller before making purchase. Make sure the measure tape is in picture. I've bought 5 jeans and sold boots from this app. One Pair of jeans was not the correct size as mentioned. It should be a 26. I ordered a 29. $40 They are so small I can't even zipper them. So I have to keep them, says Poshmark. Poshmark says it's my responsibility to ask them to measure it before buying. There are pictures of the jeans that clearly says 29 R. Why else would I need to ask questions? The seller should have to except them back. Poshmark is treating me like I'm a problem. Even though the seller has had bad remarks on her. I have pictures to prove it.
In picture the first pair (29) are my complaints. They should be a 26. They should be wider than my 28 behind them... can't send picture. It's not small enough;(
Would give lest than a star because this company is always late with deliveries and most of the time will cancel your order and you will receive NO product! Its not about a refund its about customer service i rate their customer service to be very poor
I dont really get this platform, there is no verification of authenticity (so well ok, its like ebay), no requirements to photos sellers provide like quality, quantity and that pics should be their own, not pasted from products' websites, lots of things are missing proper description and just as well copied from the website. They say that customer has to ask questions seller, so up to what point should I interview a seller? I wanted to find one Reformation dress that was sold out on the official website and I found plenty of offers, but the thing is that for the same dress of the same colour there were about 5 different tags types on the pics of different sellers, so I believe there are a lot of fakes there. Also its very concerning when someone has 7000 items in listings and they are from all different brands and sizes. So this person took them from where? Some China fakes I assume.
Poshmark is a great sight for purchasing clothing unless you have a problem with an item you bought. Then they disappear and you quickly realize you are in a Buyer Beware situation. It is easy for used clothing to have been washed and shrunk, especially wool products. Then they get sold as their marked size but are no longer that size. This has happened to me twice, and Poshmark sided with the seller and I was stuck with products I could not wear.
This site seems a great spot for scammers to fleece people of their money and the company re enforces this. I put in the search bar "LG tone active" headset and was directed to a sellers site. What I received was a complete knock off. In wanting to send it back and get a refund, the company replied that the post was not misleading and gave me a 5 dollar credit. Now I'm out 50 dollars and have instead received a terrible taste of a poorly run company.
I would give them a 0. I purchased a Brahmin purse on Poshmark and it came in defective condition. Despite the 25+ photos I provided documenting the condition, they sided with the seller. There were SO many problems with this product. Anyone could see that it was a second quality item. This was the first and last transaction for Poshmark. They will NOT be getting my business again!
When I first started using Poshmark in 2017, they seemed to be a reputable company and protected sellers and buyers. Over the years, I bought and sold thousands of dollars worth of merchandise and became a Posh ambassador. Recently though, they have changed their standards, extending days for sellers to ship, which is a inconvenience to buyers and not standing supporting buyers who receive flawed merchandise. The final straw was a recent purchase of a sweater that had obviously been washed and shrunk. I had just purchased the exact same sweater on Poshmark in a smaller size that fit. I was told there was nothing they could do because it was size issue and they even recommended that I resell it on their website so some other unsuspecting buyer could purchase a damaged product and they could make additional profit. I can no longer support this company due to their poor customer service and lack of integrity.
That's not very good business that poshmark let sellers cancel orders with no problem but I can't ever wear a top, it's still has the tags but they won't let me return the item. It made me regret ever buying anything from Poshmark.
First of all, these idiots don't have a customer service number, you contact them via email which they mostly choose not to respond to. Now, let me go straight to the point; I bought a counterfeit Louis Vuitton purse from them, thinking it was original, after I realized it was fake, I put it on there to resell and even stated that it was purchased from XYZ(seller's name). They took my listing down and sent me an email that it was a counterfeit item. I replied them that it was purchased on their App, and they could check my purchases to be sure, they never responded. I sent them numerous emails and messages, stating that if they would not allow me resell on their app, then I deserve a refund because I purchased the counterfeit from them. Up until today, they chose to ignore me. Very rude, inconsiderate and unacceptable behavior. I wish I could rate them NO star at all
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
