I've been using this service for over 5 years, and it's helped me a great deal. My two biggest complaints, are that it isn't very compatible with Google Chrome (and I hate Internet Explorer) and because there is so much information of people and addresses, but not in chronological order, you sometimes wade thru a lot of old information to get to the new. I even find cellphone information which is a plus these days. In my opinion, for what I use it for, it is usually worth the $24.95 I pay.
I ordered one find to get a current address and phone number for one person and this resulted in 4 separate charges on my credit card. The ordering process and charges are confusing. I have send several emails questioning things. They do get back quickly though.
My purchase of a report on my husband, who I have been married to for 36 years. I wanted the newest information. It had 100% accurate information, but nothing newer than 8 years ago. It gave phone numbers and addresses of family members that was accurate as well.
I had someone trying to scam me so I used the service to look up to see who it was stammer had their number spoofed and it could not be located so I simply called the customer and the gentleman was glad to help me they cancelled my account and did not charge me for the one lookup I don't know what can be done about finding the sorry scammers number when they hide it like that. I give their customer service an A + though. It did not take but a minute to get to talk to a live person and he had me taken care of in less than 3 minutes. To me that is hard to beat. It was 50 times easier than leaving this review and that is a fact!
Before you sign up there is a place on their webpage that says it is very easy to cancel. Just login to your account, go to home, go to account, scroll down and click cancel my account. BUT... after you sign up and login and go to Home and my account, there isn't any "cancel my account" to click. Very frustrating.
Had to call my credit card company, etc. Gave them a 2 because I did find the info I was looking for. But take heed to the reviews!
In my humble opinion, People Finder came through for me!. I am a senior and I needed to do find a next of kin to verify my service in the Veterans Admin. The website gave me the CORRECT INFO! I couldn't afford the monthly fee so for a small charge I received the information. It meant a lot to me that " They" gave me the option of a single search! I will highly recommend this company ABOVE all I have tried online‼
Absolutely fraudulent. Do not waste your time or money. I needed a background/property record check for a legal proceeding, so I paid $19.95 for a one month membership. When I received the report, it was basically blank except for the person's current address, and some relatives. It didn't even include things that I know are on public record in my/the person's home county. When I contacted Customer Service, I was flatly told there will be no refund. I am in the process of disputing this with my bank. FRAUD. FRAUD. FRAUD.
Checking out my informational today. I noticed the information said I had been evicted from a address that is my home which I make monthly payments on. But it has another town and zip. *******997 customer service representative said it cannot be corrected.
They have another man that has filed bankruptcy 19 times and he is 66 years old. Gee did he start filing at birth? The list goes on.
The customer service representative insisted the information is entered as received. Is in not possible the human error could be their end.
On the upside somethings are correct. Like the spelling of my name.
They will still your money and you'll never get it back and the information will be wrong they should just be honest and stand in the road with a sign saying I'm a greedy liar but greedy liars need to eat too then it at least would have been entertaining
Recent WEB site revision removed the birth DAY information from all searches. So if you want to find family or friends birthdays you are out of luck with this site. It also makes it harder to discern the correct search record when there are multiple hits. Not much of a finder service without full birthdate information.
I joined on trial basis today to find marriage/divorce dates I needed to fill out a retirement form. Really important to get it today. All over their site they claim they provide marriage/divorce info. They do not. I called and complained and was blown off by a girl telling me I should have read the 'fine print' under terms/conditions and that nobody can provide such information through a search business. Another lie.
Website provides inaccurate and inadequate information as well as charge credit cards unknowingly. Customer service is rude and not helpful at all starting from email to Supervisor Sarah at direct number *******121. SCAM
Why hasn't someone closed this site? They are making money by ripping folks off! This should be against the law. I guess lesson learned. They are liars, you can find more of the information with google than with peoplefinders, wow, I took a chance and got fooled, shame, shame on you! And shame on better business bureau for not protecting us from frauds like this!
I signed up for a 1 time search then they charge me $9.95 AND $14.95. I follow process to cancel continual service but the next month they are charging me $29.95. I tried cancelling several times with no luck. Don't use this company. They don't listen.
They tell you that it is UNLIMITED service. I run a real estate business and need address verification on multiple leads. In two weeks time they flagged my account four times and I had to wait 24-48 hours before I could use it again. Unlimited is not unlimited in their eyes. When I called to complain to a supervisor she offered to cancel me instead of fixing the problem. Horrible customer service!
This company is a scam. I ordered a $0.95 phone number lookup. As I went through the registration I declined all other services. They then billed my $2.95 and when I tried to cancel within 24 hours they charged me an additional $2.95 termination fee. Their customer service kept telling me I agreed to this and I am sure I did not. I am a senior executive and Chief Information officer. I know exactly what I agreed to. It is crazy they would argue over $6. It shows they have very shady business practices.
I've found a wealth of information on this site. Just read the product descriptions before you order - they have options to buy a single report for $1.95, or start a monthly membership and get the report for $. 95. It's all clearly marked, just make sure you read everything first. You can do people searches, get background checks and similar reports.
After you use the site. Be careful because they charged my credit card $24.99 for 6 months which I had no idea of. It appear as "PF rewards" on your charge at the beginning of each month. On top of it I could not find any information that I needed to find.
I tried their services more than once did not get the information I was looking for as I was promised and they took money off of my card without my permission after the membership is cancelled when I called to tell you about this staff was very rude and only gave me a partial refund. They only got a one because I had to give something
Just now spent 9.95$ to buy a report for one person I tried to find. Except the normal information I can get for free anywhere, nothing else. Keep away from this company. Warn other person don't waste money and get cheated.
