Ok cupid, doesnt seem to allow asian females with jobs and life in order, to use this service, i never had an account keep trying to sign up all to get denied? Yet my white friends have accounts? I messaged them asked them for over a few months never to get a response? Typical white discrimination
One of the worst apps to ever, after a short stint tried deleting the account post unwanted monthly charges, but it docent ever let me to delete it. Inspire of having to change the password occupied docent even send the new password to my email and its so frustrating now looks like I have to change my bank details.
You can't do much as a free member, there are too many limitations and you just go round in circles with no results. But when you pay, nothing actually changes. You just burn your money. As a paid dating site OkCupid is rubbish and utter drivel! It used to be not bad when it was free. They always had certain flaws, but you don't pay attention to this when something is free. However, if it's a paid service it's fair enough to have higher requirements. OkCupid is not worth the money they want you to pay for membership. There are too many fake profiles and nearly no appropriate matches.
Its okk app... Its contain good types but there are many question in extra type in bio... Why these much questions...
And it should have one local searching option... Its was all showning me from other places Only...
I don't know what to say about this site other than total disappointment. It may have been much more reputable a couple of years ago but has really fallen in quality. So many fake ads, scammers and gold diggers! For the life of me I can't understand their communication system where you can't see a profile once you've liked a particular person. Speaking of "likes," if you sign up for "A Team" (enhanced membership) you are bombarded with likes from people from Africa (especially Kenya) where there is no potential for a dating relationship! Profiles mysteriously disappear or are locked out. Matching criteria (questions) are superficial at best. Even if you set your criteria for people you would like to meet, the site does not conform to your requests. Nice looking women and entertaining but total waste of time if you really want to find a date with some potential.
They went from the very best dating site to one of the worst. They ruined how communications work in some convoluted way that doesn't make sense to anybody. They don't deal with spam profiles at all. And they've become involved politically biased pushing one side over another to the detriment of being a neutral platform. It's a shame about how far from grace they've fallen.
This app is the worst ever! Scam scam scam! Stay far away from this sight! Its all bots and scammers! I dont think it actually has real people on it. They just keep bleeding money out of you! I wish it was possible to give zero stars.
Yes, there were hundreds of duds, dudes and do-dahs. But then I met my (now) husband, so nothing but warm fuzzies from me. Back when I was dating, the site worked really well, not sure how it differs now.
This site is free to swipe through a deck and it has good filter options. Don't pay to see likes. Likes is an accumulation of people who liked you, even if you didnt hit like on them. So in short, if someone liked you and you swiped left, they are still counted in the 99+ of likes you see waiting. This is in addition to the new persons who like you that you have not yet seen plus the ones you swiped right on. So yes folks you CAN see likes. You will see them eventually in the mixed stack. The match makes you chat with the person long enough. I have only encountered a limited stack maybe once or twice. They will tell you come back in 24hrs to swipe again. The deck also restarts if you have gone through all possible matches. You have the optiom to change your location on there, it then allows you to browse matches in any country. If you are rich and able to travel then that's a great way to meet your connection on an international level. If you have limited options don't bother. For me, men always asked if I were in their country. When I said no, they would immediately stop talking. People on their dislike distance. But some great guys were on there. Scammers lurk too so beware of bad grammar and cliche 3 worded summaries. The real ones will sit and write out a good summary to introduce themselves because they genuinely want to meet someone. Happy searching! May you find the love I have yet to find in life. We all deserve a great love.
We all look for love, friends in this time of Corona. Virtual dating is a good option for, especially for us old codgers. OK Cupid provides a viable option. The sight does not however make your likes available until you pay an exorbitant amount of your cash. Guaranteeing nothing, like most. The pickings are pretty good and there are actually good looking intellectual men to be discovered. You do get your share of vile. This site could be better but considering some of the sites out there, this one has the possibility of you actually being able to ride into the sunset with your Knight on his donkey and that beats the stick horse.
A good deal of the women are people using the site to practice English. I once talked a married woman who admitted to switching locations to talk to people, but she never met anyone. She would claim Paris, New York, LA to name a few. I have seen many women 'LOOKING FOR SERIOUS DATING" they are in the Los Angeles area then suddenly they are in another state or country. Currently talking to a fake, that's using Megan Good's images, including a one from a 6 yr old movie premier. This ones likely a lonely ugly old lady. The english is pretty good. It very well could be an employee of OK CUPID. They said, I report them and nothing is getting done. Never said a word. A lucky guess or a paid BOT.
So Far So Good, I found some decent dates off this site. I would highly recommend this for any single guys. But we are poly and that does make it hard for me and my wife to find someone else.
This went from being the best dating app (2016) to the absolute worst, you can't message, you can't answer specific grouped questions, Christ you can't even "like" more than ten people a day now! They approve accounts that are clearly someone using American Instagram pictures but claiming to be British because African & Russian scammers don't know the difference! It's basically a pile of crap. And then you want £50 a month... seriously?!... Wt* is wrong with you folks!
After 2 weeks the website advertisement settings will block you from messaging unless you agree to be trolled by targeted ads... uugghhh
It's a ghost city no matter if you pay or not. Is there anyone alive? No response in 2 months (nearly 70 emails sent). I am no Shrek or freak. OkCupid is full of fake and outdated profiles. Maybe there are way too many men and too few women, but there is nothing to do for a man. You get no service, absolutely nothing for the money you pay. Your money just goes down the drain. Meaningless and pointless fake "service".
They banned me because people couldn't take rejection and cursed me out, but since they were the ones who reported me. So they banned me. Don't waste your money on this site. There are bunch of low class people.
Signed up for this site and only used my account for a couple days. Then the glitches started to set in. Cant adjust my profile, cant sign out etc. They want you to sign up for paid features of this crap-o-la site yet they cant even get their free features to work. I sent a report to their 'operations' - they apparently fixed my account and it only worked for one day. Hey tech guys/gals at OK cupid. Sort yourself out and stop asking for money when you cant get the free stuff sorted.
Pretty much the same people form all these site si have noticed, after being bullied in a few intros by the same person i reported and now have no access to my account funny how that happened? I only have to use dating sites because i work a weird shift its impossible to meet people, but these sites all seem to have the same people who don't work or have a place to live or just wanting random sex, look go hired a hooker and pay for it if that's what you want. And after you complain to staff about repeated harassment, funny how all my white friends can access their accounts yet mine says server error these days not my service not my device? Guess its my race sadly
My name is Mike and am VERY happy to say that I have met my true love on okcupid.com in late February of 2019 Laura's daughter made her an okcupid account. At that time I had just made an account myself, I was the first person to send Laura a private message. We chatted on the site for free, for a couple of weeks, before exchanging phone numbers. We found out that we lived about 5 minutes apart but, we had a really hard time setting up our first date, due to weather, illness, and crazy work schedules. On March 12th we finally got a short meeting face to face. On March 15th, we had our first date. Okcupid gave us a 91% match but we say that it's more like 100%. On July 4th 2020 we became husband and wife. We never would have met without okcupid and it's then free messenger service. Thank you okcupid.
Paid 25 bucks to find out who liked me. 14 fake accounts from Africa and 1 actual profile. The site was great 10 years ago but now it's total garbage.
Answer: It's good only if you absolutely feel the need to burn your money and time! Seriously speaking, don't repeat my mistake! I had wasted plenty of time and emotions there trying to find a gem among rubbish. Just go to a decent and efficient site with good reputation and you will have plenty of choice there as long as you are a normal and adequate person. I'm using https://j4l.com/402007 And I'm content with it. I found several ladies that I really like, I had meetings with them and now its the time to choose for me!
Answer: OLC is so so... Most of the woman are in dream land and seeking Mr USA. And are not going to meet you in person 95% of the time... You really need to weed out the B. S & players... And that is simple to do... If they can't meet you in person in public with in one week. Drop them... Don't waste your time... Next!
Answer: Terri - this is what I recently sent in about OKC. I will answer your specific questions at the end of this. I have heard many complaints about OKC and scammers. But I AM NOT HAVING ANYWHERE NEAR THE PROBLEMS THAT OTHERS ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT. I am on several sites, and I experience about the same % of scammers on all. 1) it is so easy to spot a scanner - he wants to use email or text/phone right away. Is this really a problem? I immediately block. 2) if he is in Africa or any other 3rd world nation, I immediately block. I filter my messages so that I do not receive messages from anyone who has answered less than 100 questions or is at least an 85% match. Scammers are so obvious. Also, I note that most scammers claim to be "god-fearing christians," or "looking for an LTR or marriage." I am an atheist and very liberal and state this in my profile and my questions. I know what I am about to say is very offputting, snobbish, elite, etc., but I don't think scammers hit atheist, well-educated, and skeptical people as much as they do others (christians). Sorry, but I did say you wouldn't like that. Scammers are on every site. I have been following the sites and the complaints about scammers. My conclusion, based on my experience, blogs, and LOTS of research, indicate that every site has about the same amount of scammers. Sites that provide almost 0% info on potential matches (Zoosk, POF, tagged, Chemistry, Match, ourtime, etc. - all worthless for matching, IMO) do NOT have fewer scammer than OKC. I am also a moderator on OKC. WORD: Do a GIS on every picture on every profile on every site. It will tell you if the pics were stolen from a commercial source (models, actors, etc.) or not. I have had a ton (sometimes 3/week) of dates from OKC, and I do not believe any of these guys were scammers. Finally, if you know how to spot a scammer, what difference does it make how many there are on any site? I am 59. Yes, I have many very young men contacting me. I just say "You are too young, but thank you for your interest." If they reply, I block. As I stated, I've met tons of great guys (and of course, creeps) and had a lot of dates. I have a lot of correspondence before the date, and make it clear that I am looking for LTR and NOT FWB, NSA (what a load of crap). I have not clicked with anyone yet; but the, I am an atheist, free-thinker, liberal in Texas. Not a lot of guys hit on me (after 18 months on OKC, I only get about 8 guys/week hitting on me. Check my profile: I'm not gorgeous (LIB75002) or email me: joannar75002@gmail.com). I will be happy to help you further, if requested.
Answer: If you use care and caution it's safe. Women are subjected to more weirdos but you can block them. Spammers are going to get through and they will usually ask for your email or phone number. If someone interests you message a lot before you meet and always meet in a public place. If someone insists on more than you're comfortable with move on.
Answer: You have to understand on clear thing: THIS SITE IS A 2 IN 1 DEAL. People are vetted based upon: 1) their overall attractiveness + 2) their ability to PULL IN MORE USERS I have found an UNDERGROUND OKC and have made some friends in that with my last account, but then admin began asking me strange questions about my experiences there that sounded alot less like SITE PATROLLING and a lot more like I WAS FOUND OUT AS A NON INSIDER among that group. I have a running list of accounts that are "sponsored" by the site. I was among the very first to report that okc was OWNED BY MATCH.COM to be used as its social outlet site. HOWEVER AS OF 2 DAYS AGO A MUCH BIGGER ANNOUNCEMENT WAS MADE: Match.com BOUGHT POF /Plenty of Fish and has bought into /partnered with TINDER. By years end ALSO be on lookout for Ashley Madison to be brought into the fold. WHY ALL THIS: to cut radically the price of the investment & upkeep of all those lab created profiles. BY overlapping data bases and also ADMIN STAFF... The operating costs should have al least a 40% reduction which means 40% more profit. Just so you know Toni, look up Passionate Composer. I will write you back. REAL PEOPLE DO THIS. You may like the profile too. I was among the first to take advantage of the social site move.
Answer: Yes, I have had this happen a lot. People just want your phone number because they don't want to use the site. Then they want to ask questions like where you are from. I guess so they can research you. I am real leery about giving out my email and phone numbers. All kinds of scammers out there.
Answer: Yes, it is completely free... You pay for the more advanced features, but over the last ten years or so, I have met my last 6 lovers through the site ( though oftentimes it turns out that we already knew the same people... The matching algorithms are simply_that_ *good*!) and have never given them a single penny. ( though honestly, I really should, if only out of gratitude!) Give it a try, it really is head and shoulders above the rest of the sites out there...!
Answer: Not really, before Okcupid went full on liberal wasteland they used to release their numbers/stats and it was never bad to begin with. I believe it was like 60/40 depending on how you set up your searches. In my state it was close to 50/50.
