My account was banned for no reason. I hadn't even communicated with a match yet! My photos were entirely appropriate - simple headshots. The only thing out of the ordinary was that I could not get a transaction for a one-month only subscription to process and emailed a polite inquiry to customer service about it. Apparently, the mere act of complaining about the website not working was enough to be banned from OkCupid. Be warned, you can spend hours answering 500 questions to help OkCupid's matching formula and they'll ban you for no reason whatsoever. All your matches churned to dust. All your hard work in building a profile wiped out without recourse.

I joined the site (via mobile app) for testing purpose and then same night i went through their steps to delete the account. I got the confirmation message account was successfully deleted and that they were sorry to see me go, after confirmation i deleted my iOS app. However within next 24 hours i got email that someone has liked me. Then in another 12 hours one more email came "our picks for your" and they kept persisting and when i clicked on one of their recommendation, my profile was right there on the laptop browser, i didn't have to login into the system - it just auto logged in via a click on a recommendation on the email, also all my photos and content still existed on the profile. This is ridiculous and illegal to retain my content and keep badgering me via emails.

I found the profile questions very disturbing. Many of the questions are far left leaning, such as, do you support separating children from their families at the border, do you support LGBTQ, do you believe in climate change, etc. These questions are like an entrance exam to some Marxist antiAmerican, Antiwhite christian male club. I will not be using this trash.

So I've used the site/service off and on since probably 2015, maybe a bit longer. When I originally found it many of the services you now pay for you could use for free. Now they basically charge you for everything useful. I don't fault them for wanting to make money, but now it's just a shell of it's former self.
The moderators are monstrous hypocrites, it was my experience uploading pics that if I uploaded ANY pic other than face shots of myself they'd get deleted where as almost every woman I came across had pics of their cats, dogs etc up and those NEVER got deleted when reported, I'd actually favorited several profiles and check.
Next is the site is run by flaming liberals who will not tolerate any sort of free thinking. If you watch profiles most everyone who doesn't identify as "liberal" will put "other" because putting anything else will catch you a ban or shadow ban, if your account isn't outright banned you'll find yourself with no matches day in and day out.
My account was actually banned after 6 months of activity. As I said I've been using the service off and on for a number of years, use it for a few months then delete for lack of decent humans, fake profiles, gold diggers etc. I actually have met 3 women from the site and they were utter garbage humans, and chatted with many more that I caught in lie after lie, several made me think they were bots. Anyway after getting fed up with the crap and hypocrisy on womens profiles I put on my profile "Women's list of demands = preference, Men's list of demands = hate speech and misogyny." I was banned for that. I contacted okcupid because originally they didn't tell me why my account was banned. Email after email and all I got was an automated response that directed me to page saying my account violated their rules. I eventually got an email from a random yahoo email account from someone claiming they were a moderator for Okcupid and he or she explained they never tell anyone why they were banned and that I was banned for the above because one of the moderators is a flaming feminist and my comment literally hurt his feelings.

This app is great for meeting people. In my free time I enjoy talking with friends that I met through this app. I have also met my girlfriend through this medium. I can only say... thank you!

I only used the free service. Went on a few dates with guys who claimed to want to build a proper relationship but seems they would have been more suited to other apps for random one nighters style of things. But hey guys lie whatever app you use... but then a real genuine kind and funny man found me on ok cupid and literally swept me off my feet. Ok cupid gave us a match score of 92%, some of the algorithm it uses are good and some not so. I can't believe how much we have in common despite very different personalities, we compliment each other so well in every aspect. We have been inseparable since our first date, he moved in within a month, helped me to care for my dying dad in my home, has helped to support me in raising my kids, been on holiday together. We have shared every moment of joy and sadness together in the past year. May we have many more together.

I think it might have been good initially when it was started by an MIT grad but there have been 1 or more acquisitions since then and it has really gone downhill.

They took away an awesome feature of being able to scroll through ppl sometime last year and replaced it with a swipe interface that allows you to only see 1 person at a time.

Used to be a premium dating service, advertised as 100% free. There is NO option to search for a potential mate. THEY will tell you who THEY have selected for you! I did not realize that we have become some third world country, like China or India! You can't view the pictures of members who have viewed your profile, without "upgrading" (they want your money). They have a dual standard when uploading photos, apperently women can post anything, including photos of kids and grandchildren with exposed faces. (Pedophiles love that!)

Not sure on the purpose of the Paid and Premium $99 for 3 months membership.
A rip off as you get 1x Free Superlike a day, then you have to pay more money to contact people...
These Superlikes are far from cheap.

Or like Tinder swipe right and hope for the best.
It's full of fake profiles, most peole are not resident in the country they claim to be in.

Contacting customer services - Well you have more chance of getting a reply from a paid Superlike!

I'd rather burn my money in my $#*!, than piss it away on this utterly worthless, useless, sack of $#*! site. They, literally and I'm not kidding, do nothing for you - they take your money, shove it up a pitbull's $#*!, then snort it, all the while laughing at you. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE! If you fancy pissing away your money, please go out into the sticks, shove a shot up your arse, then light the lot on fire and call it entertainment. You've come out ahead. The only 'females' on this sight ( and I use the term loosely, based on the swing of balls) are straight up men, and only if you are straight up gay will you walk away with anything but blue balls. Run, do not walk, away from this train wreck of a site. I will accept thank yous and high fives at the local pub.

Irresponsible Customer Service: My sister was paying for the premium service, and when she ran into someone who was being verbally abusive and on top of that, creating multiple accounts to intimidate and stalk her, the company did nothing. She sent a message to OKCupid over 2 months ago and they keep avoiding her questions regarding our concerns, and have taken 3 weeks+ to even respond. Since then she has canceled her account because she fears that every person she meets, is going to be him. She has clear proof of him creating multiple profiles and verbally abusing her, but they've done nothing about it. I was the one who told her to use this site because I enjoyed my experience. Now, with their negligence, I will NOT recommend this site to anyone and I will let my friends and family know about the companies disappointing customer service and lack of accountability when it comes to sexual harassment.

Nobody talks on here so can only imagine the women must get inundated with messages from men like every other site

It's better than POF but that's not saying a great deal and at least profiles are filled out

I did get 73 likes in 2 days but I needed to pay to see and can't help but think they weren't genuine likes at all

The women all seem to enjoy telling you how intelligent they are and how they're very independent and how they don't need a man in their life. I've always found that those who are intelligent don't need to tell everyone

Don't waste your money like I did purchasing OkCupid what a joke unless you're looking for a mail order bride as the stacks of profiles they provide you with, and I had my options wide open, yeah my stacks still became empty after 20 maybe 30 profiles and I was left with only the foreign stack available, yeah Green Card girls. It's as if they have no local customers to show you but I'm sure there's millions of lonely lives that fell for their lies.
