Petunias arrived dead, customer service non existent, many attempts to contact New Garden plants went unanswered, you can not possibly be successful with zero communication, would not recommend this business,
Over the past few months, I have spent a lot of money to this company and my experience has overall been good, plants are good size and overall healthy. The plants come quickly but my problem is customer service. My first order consisted of numerous plants, all looked good but there were 2 plants that didn't survive. Tried contacting company but no response. My second and third order were nice size healthy plants but my last order had one dead plant and another didn't look healthy. I once again reached out to this company (twice) and still no response. Then I read where you have to mail the dead plant at my expense to be refunded of a new plant but shipping cost more then the plant. No wonder why they don't respond. I will never use this company again.
I ordered 4 "Silver Gumdrop" Coral Bells. Four Pink Panther Coral Bells arrived. I tried to send a letter to the address on the packing box. The letter included a photocopy of the order clearly showing "Silver Gumdrop". Also in the letter were 2 photographs of the "Pink Panther" Coral Bells, one inclusive of the 4 white plastic pots and one a close-up of the label "Pink Panther". The letter was returned by the Post OffOfice "Return to Sender, Not Deliverable as addressed". I also tried unsuccessfully to contact this company by email. How do I contact this company to either get the plants I want or protest the Visa charge?
My experience with New Gardens Nusery has been very positive. Discovered them last year just browsing for plants. Everything that I ordered was very reasonably priced. The plants arrived on time and extremely healthy. They offered a wide variety of plants in almost every color pallet, including black pansies that were not in any stores in my area. The plants that I ordered last year are thriving and just beautiful. So much so that I ordered more this year. Can't wait for them to arrive. Very informative as to care and maintenance, size, spacing and bloom times. I would love to keep them as my little secret, but they truly deserve the recognition. I Would definitely recommend them. Sorry that I don't have any current pictures as we are just coming out of the winter and they are not in the bloom stage yet.
I have purchased plants from Newgardenplants multiple times and have been pleased with the size and quality of the plants, the prices, and with communications. I will continue to shop with confidence.
I contacted this garden center after my coneflowers bloomed orange instead of the cranberry I ordered and was dismissed by saying the blooms change colors when mature. He was right. They went from intense orange/pink mix to Mauve/orange mix. Pete has ignored further request to fix the situation. Poor customer service. He offers a 100% guarantee on the plants health but not wrong plants. Funny, they were tagged as Double scoop cranberry. You'd think a professional would maintain better inventory organization.
Plants never arrived. Contacted Pete for help with Fed Ex and he was dismissive. Contacted Fed Ex and was informed plants are "damaged" and the shipper would be refunded. I tried again to contact Pete via phone and email. Two days, no response. Basically stole my money.
This review is a bad news good news review... To start with the bad news... I ordered 3 coneflowers, known as echinacea. When they arrived the plants arrived nearly dead. I looked at the box and the packaging of plants and the box they came in showed no signs of damage. But the plant's dirt was half gone, spilled out of their containers, and the plants looked like they've seen better days which I believe was partly due to the courier(s) (whomever they maybe) and the distance which it came from. But regardless of all that I was very disappointed so I reached out to Pete and sent him photos. Since my life is busy with filming and editing as a creator on Youtube (jscursions: https://www.jscursions.youtube.com) I haven't had time to look for any email responses. I have however continued to nurse these 3 poor pathetic plants back to life in hopes of turning them around - in which all have shown promising signs that they will be ok...
The good News and why I chose to give 5 stars to New Garden Plants is because I I know first hand as a gardener/ landscaper and once business owner of a Stain Glass Business... With every business or gardener/landscaper, there has to be failures to flourish and see success. And part of success comes from recognizing the failure(s) and doing something about it. And that is what I see that Pet/New Garden Plants has proven to do by acknowledging my email and doing something to make it right. For that reason I give them 5 stars. Because a few days later (not expecting a thing) I received another box with 3 new coneflowers and 2 or of the 3 look fantastic. The other one is not as big. But nevertheless satisfied with the end results. So, thank you Pete for the additional echinacea plants, it is very much appreciated.
Everybody deserves a chance.

I ordered my plants ( June 2021) a couple of weeks ago- arrived within a week. I placed an order and then did a "add on" with another order. They accidentally charged me "shipping and handling" twice. I wrote them an email- I had a responce within 24hrs as well as the shipping cost back in my bank account.
Nice plants, GREAT prices, reliable customer service. I will order again.
I had 1 great year with this company. This year I ordered in feb for an april delivery. The plants arrived and 3 had black leaves. I believe they froze or were stressed out and dry for too long. Contacted them numerous times (you can only email them) and finally they replied that they thought they would survive. I wanted healthy plants not ones that I would have to nurse back to health. Well they died and multiple texts were made again and I got the one that they would replace 2 plants. 100% guarantee they say. WRONG! It's almost june and no word or plants. Bad bad. Customer service! Last year I changed the date on my order and they took the money out twice. That was an ordeal in itself. Why go back? I did get great plants last year and silly me I thought putting in my order early would guarantee me my plants. Buyer beware!
Recently placed an order for 18 plants, shipping sent package to Georgia
But I live in New Hampshire, the site owner Pete could care less about my order
No plants. Communication. Resolution, had to shut them down on my card for payment
I purchased 20 plants from New Garden Plants.com, at a total cost of $233.46.
All the plants were delivered in a timely manner and seemed to be delivered in good shape. Unfortunately, one of the plants - The Incredible Blush Smooth Hydrangea - did not make it. I followed all the instructions on the website, contacted Pete by email and he asked me to send photos of the plant, which I did. After I sent the photos - I did not receive a response. I sent Pete a total of 3 emails. Nothing. Never a response from Pete. (NOTE: I have 6 Hydrangea plants in my garden so I am not new to growing them.)
To quote part of the NewGardenPlants.com's Guarantee - "If you do have problems with your plants you may contact me via email and I would be happy to offer advice and suggestions of ways to help correct the problem." This, apparently, is not the case, as I was ignored.
Would I buy from this company again? No, because they have poor customer service and they do not stand by their guarantee. NOTE to Pete: Ignoring customers is a bad business practice.
I am inundated all winter by garden center catalogs, dreaming of spring. Most of those catalogs send sick little plants that have no chance of making it. This is my second year ordering from New Garden Plants, and my order arrived today. I couldn't be happier. Every plant is healthy, and there isn't any plastic used at all. Recycled paper and rubber bands do the trick perfectly. I cannot recommend this company more highly.
I ordered two Kent Beauty Ornamental Oregano plants. They arrived in great shape and appear to be very healthy. I would order from this company again.
I brought some cool plants. They were delayed by FedEx. One arrived dead; brown and mushy. The other two looked pretty healthy but has a bit of mold on the broken stems. I emailed Pete about the replacement. He responded immediately that it'll be sent out. Forward to today, almost 3 months now, multiple follow up emails, calls and messages, no answer, no response on updates on my replacement. This is bad business practice to provide a defective product, promise a replacement, but never actually follow through on the advertised guarantee, and worse of all ignoring my communication attempts. Unprofessional and dishonest.
I liked the plants so much I placed three separate orders. Due to the pandemic they ran out of one or two and send substitutes that I was not happy with. I received a response after several days and they replaced them. This was during the height of the pandemic when everyone was out of everything, and folks were getting more stiff then usual online. I think people gave bad reviews because they did not take this into consideration. I was very happy and will use them again. These were the healthiest flowers I've ever purchased!
My plant arrived very promptly in just a matter of days, was well packaged and a goo size. I will order from them again.
Wow so excited to find these plants. Seller supposably sent plants but according to Fedex he never filled out fedex online shipping info. Plants never arrived. I called and left messages and emailed 4 times but seller never replied. Don't waste your time very poor customer service
I emailed Pete at newgardenplants.com and he replied promptly.
I then ordered online and received my plants promptly and was very satisfied at their appearance and size. I'm glad I ordered from them.
Extremely pleased!

Answer: In my experience, I have found the plants to be as good, if not better than other nurseries I have ordered from. The pricing was better too. I would look no farther than New Garden Plants.
Answer: I ordered 3 plants, one completely dead upon arrival. No response as well. I guess their "Guarantee" is false advertisement.
Answer: The first time for ordering and problems were very responsive. Following up with order issues... they just ignore you.
