NetworkSolutions Reviews Summary

The company's reputation is marked by a stark divide in customer experiences. On one hand, some clients commend the quality of specific services, particularly in web design and SEO assistance, highlighting instances of exceptional customer support. However, a significant number of reviews reveal persistent issues, including slow response times, inadequate technical support, and billing disputes, which contribute to a growing sense of frustration among long-term users. Overall, while there are positive interactions, the prevailing sentiment underscores a troubling decline in service quality and reliability, prompting many customers to seek alternatives.

My Register.com email has been out of commission for 4 days and they blame Microsoft! Register.com is a terrible company and I would like to hear from Microsoft on why it is to blame. My business is in the toilet, thanks to Register.com.

This is probably my first review of any sercive ever, they are so bad that they got me to write a review.
When I need their help with basic stuff such as pointing my domain to an A record, the chat/phone support has no idea what they are talking about, they are clueless of anything tech-related and takes forever to even answer you.

We are in 2023 and even a bot is better than their support, so I used chatGPT and got the help I needed.
I moved all my domain from Register.com to a different provider.

I have no Idea how this company is still running.

A totally rotten egg
February 10, 2023

It used to be a good service provider when I became their customer in 1997. Nowadays, it is only interested in getting new sales and does not care for its old customers. Its help service on its site has become totally irrelevant and people who are supposed to help on the phone can't speak English well and nor are they knowledgeable.

If you use register.com, you better hope you never have any problems because their customer support is ridiculous. You will get a person but having been dealing with them for over a month on an issue, I think it would take a miracle to get a rssolution. Promised callbacks never happen. I don't know how this company stays in business. My recommendation - run as fast and as far away from this company that you can.

Red Flag: Don't sign up for any services when you cannot turn off auto-renewal.

My non-profit client had used Network Solutions (NS) for web and email hosting a small website for years. We were asked to review. NS added on a boat load of useless services that was costing our client of $200 a month in charges for a single email account and a 5-page static website hosting. We moved the hosting and domain to a new provider for under $30 a month, and turned off all NS services ofver live chat. The agent said "I have disabled all the auto renewals from my end." A month later new charges appeared on our client's account for SSL services (with no web hosting) and Contant Contact services (with no email hosting). I asked for a refund. They refused.

I called the Customer Service number and after 30 minutes of being on hold, was disconnected and sent to a survey. I called back and talked to a new agent, and I threatened to file complaints with the BBB and the California State Attorney General if the unautorized charges were not refunded, and then was placed on hold for another 5 minutes, after which the agent said their supervisor agreed to refund the last 2 charges. Hopefully this is the end of the NS nightware.

My company has been a customer for a few years. Network Solutions has consistently provided excellent and prompt work. I am very impressed with their ability to customize and design changes with a minimum amount of instruction.

Business site down due to no ssl cert which is issued by reg.com in the 1st place. Dozens of calls round in a circle for several weeks with no way out. Each call you start from scratch. Loads of promises going nowhere. Only progress is when I contact the President of the company who put me in touch with a top manager who resolved the issue quickly. I have had to contact the President twice in the last couple of years in order to get issues resolved. This is not good enough. Thousands of $ lost because of lost bookings. We are a travel business.

Not Supportive
February 18, 2023

Domain.COM is very reliable at charging my company credit card. Calling them for support when your website is down was a terrible experience. When I needed their support, they told me to call Microsoft. There had to be another provider who would not leave you out in the cold.

Register.com is garbage. They are good at one thing: registering your domain in 1999. Never give them your credit card for any reason. Today I authorized an $11 charge. Just got an American Express alert they charged my card $75.97. This is the $#*! I'm talking about. Shady, shady, shady. Most dishonest company I've ever dealt with. Only time in my life I couldn't get a vendor to reverse a charge for a non-functioning product, so I disputed with AmEx and *they* reversed the charge for me. I cannot even articulate what absolute trash these thieves and con artists are.

Seeing a monthly account charge was for website security when I do not hold a website domain at Register.com. I contacted them to be told I have a few weeks to request a refund. I repeatedly stated I did not order the service and that it must be an internal error to no avail. Register.com may add small charges to accounts and then refuse to return the monies.

Avoid at all costs I beg you
December 9, 2022

This company is despicable. They allowed my domain name americanroofremodel.com to be released and purchased by a domain shark who is trying to charge my small company thousands of Dollars to get back. This company had the nerve to say they didn't have a revised card on file to renew our domain….however they billed me for other services all along on our credit card, the email from them stating our domain was going to expire that had my personal name, and our web.com username on it was a phishing email, however it was not as all the links brought you to their actual web address. I replied back to this email stating our card is in file and to please bill it so our domain is renewed, but they said it was a phishing email, I am an internet savvy person, it was not. In addition this was the only email received about our expiring domain and they said it was fake. So if it were fake that means we received no email, no phone call, no warning whatsoever about our domain, and all emails tied too it literally given away, and all they could say was "it was our fault". Remember they were billing us for other services all along on our card that never expired. Right now my small company is in disarray all because this horrible excuse for a company either got hacked, or accidentally gave our domain away. Do yourself a favor and avoid web.com, domain.com, or network solutions as they are all the same at all costs. Please please do not go through what our company has to go through I beg you.

Easy to setup, nearly impossible to cancel anything. Chat-bot plays games with you and you can't autocancel anything without being harrassed by an annoying chatbot. Really annoying.

After the death of our primary contact person, I tried to get in touch with Network Solutions to update the email on the (nonprofit business) account. The experience has taken more than 10 calls and emails over what is now a three month period (because everything is "wait 24-48 hours for a response"). I was told to fill out a Primary Email Change request, then I was told to submit a change of ownership form. I had to submit multiple personal and organizational documents (expected) but never told why so I would get a response back that the Tax form was too old (which made me think they were looking to prove the company was still operating) so I would submit something different from the list but be told that the address wasn't the same (mind you, we're a nonprofit so half of these are public documents anyway. I would call the Customer Service desk, and the chat feature online but they're all different departments and do not have a way to communicate with one another so every time I'd connect with someone we'd start at square one. We've been a customer for a while (over 15 years), there really should've been a better way to help us out in a time of need.

After calling 5 times about my website being down and speaking to 5 representatives; I was finally connected to a knowledgeable rep. Luckily I was able to get a representative named Romeo. He followed up 2x and made sure everything was working again. I made sure I left a good word about Romeo with his supervisor. Ive been with registered.com for over 15 years and this experience was my first time interacting with a rep who demonstrated such superb customer service.

Jay (Justin) employed his in-depth expertise in web design and editing, as well as his patient and cheerful customer service manner, to brighten up our company website. Answering my questions, he provided better ideas than what I had intended. He guided me through handling website photos and how I might edit them to achieve a standard look. He described how the coloring would work, and what the best practice was for color selection. He pointed out how the features and blocks work, and how to successfully edit and delete those. He led me to the SEO and Company information pages to ensure we had the proper info in them for success. His support was an exceptional customer service experience. Awarded 11 out of 10 points! My compliments, Sir!

What Solidified My Decision to Go w/Register.com
October 23, 2022

Just about anyone can build a website for you, but what what follows after the website is built is what's most important! Will the builder be open and sensitive to your ideas, changes, etc., as your business grows and needs change? Will they be courteous, patient, professional and continue to offer that great service they bragged about when getting you to sign-on with them? Well You can confidently answer YES to all of my questions if the company is REGISTER.COM!
This company gets it and I discovered it in the form of their customer consultant, Nina! Nina, is the reason I decided to remain with Register.com. I have never been treated more fairly, with a level of professionalism and professional courtesy. Nina is attentive, patient, and delivers with enthusiasm. She makes me feel like a partner! She's just as concerned about my brand appeal as I am—And seems equally as invested in "getting it right" for the public I serve! Can't ask for better than that folks. If Register.com was smart enough to hire Nina, then I'm certain she's not the only one. It's a "Register.com" company thing, called Superior Excellence."

Thank you, Nina
Thank you, Register.com!

Register.com has got to be the worst e-mail provider in the industry.
Their service is unreliable, and the customer service is horrible as they subcontract call centers in obscure parts of the world... average waiting time to speak with someone who barely speak english is about 28 minutes
