The company's reputation is marked by a stark divide in customer experiences. On one hand, some clients commend the quality of specific services, particularly in web design and SEO assistance, highlighting instances of exceptional customer support. However, a significant number of reviews reveal persistent issues, including slow response times, inadequate technical support, and billing disputes, which contribute to a growing sense of frustration among long-term users. Overall, while there are positive interactions, the prevailing sentiment underscores a troubling decline in service quality and reliability, prompting many customers to seek alternatives.

Navigating settings is a bit confusing.
Had an issue logging in to change a setting where it was asking for credentials that didn't match the main portal account
No customer service. Used to be a good site! Now the site is horrible!
Experience is not the same as 6 months ago. SSL service is taking way too long. Domain main paga is hard to navigate
You system has been crappy lately. The chat menu does not go away when you reach out to them. My chat experience was horrible.
The customer service is more mechanical than helpful. I was told to wait 24-48 hours for a fully paid service to be activated. Even after waiting nearly an additional 24 hours that service was still not available and I was told to wait an ADDITIONAL 24-48 hours. If rapid service and quality assistance is what you'd like domain.com is not the right choice.
Unauthorized charges led me to cancel my account. The charges are exorbitant.
Too much advertising for us... we're a reseller! Dotster WAS great... clean up your act or we'll move the rest of our domains!
domain.com doesn't recognize my user id so I'm unable to get it to my account to get my domain name compliant. I tried to chat with them, but they close the chat after just 3 seconds. I tried several times, but in 3 seconds the chat closes. I called their 800 number that I had to google to find and I get a message, "This call is not included." and click (they hang up). I can't text them, because I can't get into my account. This is by far the worst Customer Service experience ever. In the meantime my online business sits dormant, unable to generate money. I ought to be able to recover the money I'm losing because of them.
So far so good. The new look of the platform is more user friendly but has more ads than before. Internal ads so that we can buy add ons. No need for that in my opinion. Thank you
Since the change from Dotster.com to web.com I have been nothing but disappointed in the customer service with the exception of my assistance from Tim Chapman who was incredibly helpful. Aside from this though, I have dealt with nothing but horrible service, terribly long wait times on chat and incredibly difficult conversations with people that VERY obviously do not speak English as their primary language. At one point I was asking someone a question about a MySQL database and was referred to help about a SQL database. I thought the people on chat were supposed to be technically knowledgeable in the products that they support. Is this not the case? Either way, I pay money for a service every month and have been for years, so I expect that the people on chat support NEED to at least have knowledge about the products that they are supporting, like the web.com site and functionality. I am seriously considering changing my service and transferring my domains to a different host, which is very frustrating after so many years with no issues with Dotster.
The "subscriptions" are hard to understand exactly how much its going to cost so therefore I'm canceling everything and going to a site that is more transparent. Otherwise I like it
Answer: We are located in Australia and trying to make contact is virtually impossible. They don't respond to emails, Calling them is an expensive international phone call, The time zone is completely different so I had to call at some ungodly hour of the morning, they are not friendly and find dealing with customers a big pain. They offer no real value and have no idea of what customer service is.
Answer: I had to ring my credit card company and get them to stop the payment
Answer: I was working with a consultant from the Small Business Development Center when I began my business. She advised me to register my LLC and then to go to Register.com to buy the domain name before anyone else could. Later on, she suggested Register when I was looking for hosting.
