The only reason its 4 star is because it costs money. Very helpful but could help even more people for free. Many of the skills are almost the same thing or just worded differently leaving desire to be streamlined.

Great tool

I found this site to be actually quite a great tool when you want to build your resume and make your experience standout for potential employers; the suggestions are a great tool to use and give you that professional edge in competitive labour markets. The reason for me to give 3 stars and not more is because of the automatic payment taken without any notification or notice of such when in limited services acquired. Transparency goes a long way and using abusive money grabbing tactics drives customers away. Not impressed.
The customer representative Joshua was helpful, polite and friendly although I still had to pay for an unwanted service to get some of my money back

If no cancellation request was sent before the end of the initial period, your account might have rolled into a monthly subscription at the regular price. The auto-renewal information is listed in multiple areas: the sales page, the payment information page, the payment confirmation page, and finally, your welcoming email, which confirms your 14-day trial purchase and a detailed overview of your new subscription.

Incredibly overpriced

Starting with the positives, the process is simple and they do provide a training-wheels approach to quickly churn out a resume that looked great on screen, with recommended keywords and examples that line up with the job you may be applying for.

But.

If you have microsoft word, or literally any other word processor, you are better off using that. For the bargain of $1.95, you can finally use the resume you built! (Oh, but "after 14 days, auto-renews $24.95 billed every 4 weeks".) I don't expect everything for free, but they don't even mention this to you until you're ready to print/download and be on your way. They profit off people in a time crunch and suck as much as they can from people not going through their intensive cancellation process

You advertise "free" templates, then hit us up with a charge after we're done. This is a great tool; no need to be sneaky about it. Be upfront!

Assuming you let me cancel as promised and wipe my data I will be satisfied.

Your site advertises everything as free, but once we are finished editing/building our resume, it charges? That's false advertisement and someone of your marketing team should definitely fix that because you all are the first ones to pop up on google when searching "free resume template" and it is obviously not free

I spent a considerable amount of time creating a draft resume only to find out I can't access without subscribing. The reason for the low rating however is the deceptive representation on cost. You show $2.95 and $5.95 pricing, yet lock people in for higher amounts.

The customer service in Spanish was excellent with Alejandro. He explained to me in detail and with minute detail all the tools of My Perfect Resume. He also gave me a lot of guidance on how to look for a job, answering all my questions. To this day I have not found a Customer Service Representative like Alejandro. Congratulations to the Company.

TOTAL SCAM! BEWARE
September 12, 2024

The subsciption is advertised as a $2.95 for a 14 days period. It is not written anywhere at the time of purchasing that it will be renew autamatically to a $34.95 every month. They have taken 175$ out of my account now that I have just realised that going through my bank statement. I didn't get any e-mail with invoices for that amount or any email stating the renewal of my subscription. I cancel the subscription just now. Hope they won't take anymore of my money.

Scam company

They have cheated me of $270 for 6 months, they have not send any invoices emails at all with the fees that they charges, I am totally unaware till I see it on my bank statements. I am lodging a police report on this company. I did not sign up for their services and have not once log in to their system after the initial one which I have cancelled, they retain your card details and continue charging you, so if you are not scrutinising your statements, you wont see the charges at all. Please do not be like me, do better.

Unacceptable errors from the billing department; my account was overcharged on two separate occasions! I understand mistakes happen, and was willing to be forgiving of the second occurrence; but the poor service in handling the issue from their customer care dept. has me not only never wanting to do business with them again, it's also encouraged me to make sure none of my friends, family, and even acquaintances hear about my experiences in hopes of potentially saving them from anything close to an experience like mine.

Total SCAM

Zero stars. It is a scam and they will try to make unauthorized charges to your card. It asked for $2.95 for 14 day access to the resume templates then even offered to take a dollar off. NO mention of any further charges. Out of nowhere the other day they attempted 3 times to charge $23.95 or some amount like that. Thank goodness I have a card with a credit union and they blocked those charges. But now I have to wait for a new debit card thanks to this stupid site. Don't use it!

Awful scam

Not worth your time or money. They make it impossible to cancel your subscription so you end up just paying and paying for something you don't use. The "award winning customer service" has never answered my emails or phone calls. Likely because they know I'm trying to cancel or they just don't answer. This is definitely just a scam with resume templates as the bait. Avoid giving them your card info. My best advice is to call your card company and have them flag charges from them and not allow them to process. Seems to be the only way to avoid getting charged. Just stay away from this site

I have renews when needed. Prefer not to pay membership of something not being use. Had to make many phone calls. They pretended that they could not hear me, very rude and insulting.
Then they want to go into the reason for cancellation and why they are improving. They just go on and on and on. Please show respect and just cancel to request. Cancellation should be as simple as nt up for membership.
