I cancelled my subscription online before it was set to charge me. I cancelled it again and asked for a refund but all I get is a generic no reply email. DO NOT us their website. It is a ripoff.
Don't touch them - they are lying thieves who will rip you off and never cancel your monthly fees even after you have all the cancellation emails etc. TOTAL SCAM
I had joined because my friend referred me. The 1st day I used it, I CANCELED right away. They tell you $12 membership and in one day I paid $42. I contact customers service. (DONT TRY CALLING! THEIR AUTOMATED SYSTEM IS TERRIBLE, THEY NEVER ANSWER!) so I chat with them and they told me that the duration of my documents was more then 60 seconds and therefore I was charged more. I sent 20 pages so less then the 100 page limit and I got charge $42 I asked for money back they said they could only do $15 I wanted $20 atleast and said no. I canceled. They said they would give me a month free I said no because they were going to charge me another $42. Oh and before I finished sending my fax and they charging me $42 they blocked my account.

I wish I had read these reviews before I signed up for the free trial! This is a terrible service... bordering on a scam. I sent one fax and received a notification that delivery had failed. I tried to resend it-- same notification. I tried a few times... no luck. Gave up, then the next morning got an email that many of these faxes did go through, resulting in overage charges because it was sent multiple times. I emailed and argued that these charges should be reversed as the email said that transmission FAILED... not that they would keep trying. They told me they would not reverse charges. I emailed again questioning this and explaining the situation and they did not reply. I tried to talk to them via the customer support chat on the site and the same thing, with an added touch of rudeness. So I tried to cancel my account and you have to call someone to do that. Seems that all this service is designed to do is to trick you into spending more money than you should and making it hard to cancel the recurring monthly charges. Run far away!

When the fax has been successfully delivered to the intended party, it will contain your "Fax Details"- Date (always listed in GMT, number of pages transmitted, length of transmission, and most importantly the receiving fax machines/servers Reference ID- which is confirmation that the fax complete on their end). Our system will make up to 3 billable attempts to send the fax prior to sending you an unsuccessful fax transmission report. If the fax line is ringing to a busy tone, we will attempt up to 5 times to reach the line prior to sending you an unsuccessful transmission report. In cases such as these, no transmission or duration can be detected. I SIGNED UP FOR A 14 DAY FREE TRIAL WHICH INCLUDING 100 PAGES FAXED FOR FREE, I SENT 3 FAXES, 2 THAT WENT THROUGH FOR A TOTAL OF 8 PAGES AND ONE THAT DIDN'T EVEN GO THROUGH WITH 10 PAGES, I CALLED FOR A REFUND, WAS GIVEN AN ABSURD EXPLANATION, TOLD I WOULD BE REFUNDED, CALL TO CANCEL THE ACCOUNT, WAS TOLD THE REFUND WAS INDEED PROCESSED, CAME TO FIND OUT IT WASN'T AND THEN WAS CHARGED ANOTHER $10. SO NOW I'M OUT $20, THE COST OF A 2 MONTH PAID TRIAL IN JUST 2 DAYS INTO A 14 DAY FREE TRIAL. CROOKS. I WANT MY $20 BACK AND AN APOLOGY FROM A SUPERVISOR. I downloaded this app and it said I'd receive unlimited faxes for $10.00. I sent faxes and notice every time I sent a fax my husband's phone kept beeping. Soon realizing every time I sent a fax they charged me $10.00. $30 within 30 minutes then tried to take another $10.00 out of my account but couldn't because I blocked them and called them. The guy on the phone was extremely rude and told me that I faxed over 400 faxes, which was impossible! The proceeded to tell me that I couldn't get a refund only a credit and he'll send a credit request over to another department that would call me. Then my husband called (men are less excited) and told him the same thing. They are scamming and scheming people and they don't care. Plus, sounded like he was at home drinking a beer! They weren't of any help at all! I DONOT RECOMMEND THIS "FAX PLACE" or whatever. I couldn't believe these people! He immediately starts to tell me,
"WELL" (immediate defense). Poor customer service and they don't compromise their wrongs!
This company habitatually fraudulently bills customers and this is clear from reading reviews: https://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/myfax.com First off, you can't cancel your account yourself or via email, you have to call or live chat the company. I called and spent 15 minutes dodging sales pitches to finally cancel my account. Then, I was billed anyway. A rep said that they "had received a request to reinstate my account". No such request was made so this is a lie. When I said as much, they changed their story to saying they "had canceled the wrong account" which is definitely a lie because I had to given multiple pieces of identifying information when I canceled my account. Then, the finance team denied my refund request! I was only able to get it overturned because I had saved the chat conversation where the rep admitted that "they had canceled the wrong account". The finance team claimed that they "intended to refund my account but actually made a mistake", which is suspect.Other reviews of the company show that this these lies and run-arounds are common practice with MyFax. This company is utterly fraudulent and needs to be penalized or shut down.

My Fax did refund the $4.95 late fee. I have still terminated service and will not do business with this company in the future.
My Fax charges erroneous late fees even when your credit card is perfectly good. Have had same credit card on file, but they charged late fee of $4.95 on a monthly charge. That is how they make their money. If you try to cancel they will tell you they will not refund the erroneous fee. They don't do this the first couple of months only after you have established the fax number and are no longer paying attention to their charges.

The worst service I have ever used. They double bill you without notice and the kicker, for the last 2 months: they crossed my fax number with local medical offices and now I receive SENSITIVE patient information to my fax number. People that are trying to fax MY COMPANY are getting blocked... I tried calling MyFax, their response is: too bad, too sad, and you're responsible for the billed pages. I tried calling at least 5 of the medical offices that are sending these to me and their response is: just delete them - when I ask where/who has my fax number, they say, sorry, not my department & good luck getting through their lines in the first place. What is wrong with this world? Absolutely insane. Needless to say, MYFAX is clearly at fault, cross using my fax number. I could not be receiving these many faxes from so many different medical providers, AND NOT receive my own faxes that my clients send me. Done, canceled, I don't even want this fax number to be associated with me. STAY CLEAR AWAY.

I signed up a couple of months ago because I thought I would need services. I could've sworn I went and cancelled it as soon as I realized I wouldn't even need it, apparently I didn't actually do that. I got a $10 charge today and completely forgot I ever signed up for a free trial for it. Naturally, I called customer service and it took so long just to talk to someone. Once I was finally connected, I could not for the life of me understand this man talking so slowly, yet mumbly, over the phone. Mind you, I NEVER used the services and didn't have any record of my number for my account due to this. He took forever just to find my account after giving him my email approximately 5 times because he couldn't understand what I was saying (I'm speaking very loud and clearly). Finally, he took his sweet time in cancelling my account and said he'd put in a refund request, but it's out of his hands and it's up to the finance department to decide on that. Yeah, I know what that means. Aka, I'm not getting a refund and you already know it. I'm just glad it's onlt $10 and I can just move on with my life and not go through another 25 minutes phone call just to cancel my account. What a scam.
Let me first start of by saying that the free 30 day trial just shows how desperate this company is for your money. They are hoping that within the first 30 days you will either forget that you signed up for this service or gave up on trying to cancel because they make it very difficult to do so. The method of operation is that they do not send you any e-mail correspondence after you initially sign up in hopes that you forget about their service and/or can't figure out how to cancel and they can quietly steal money from your bank account month after month with hopes that you don't notice.
After being billed for this service twice after requesting a cancellation during the trial period (via e-mail, which apparently you can't do. You must call in to cancel. Just learned that today). I noticed my card was charged yesterday for the subscription, called to cancel and requested a refund for that month. Realized I had been billed for the previous month also, but I figured a refund for the month I was just charged for would suffice.
The representative I spoke with at first was hard to understand and did not understand me, so I asked for a supervisor. I think they must have transferred me to their lawyer instead. This guy was pretty bad. His level of customer service was probably the worst I've ever experienced. Based on his defensiveness of their policies, I suggested that the company must need the $10 more than I do. I asked him if his position was in jeopardy with the financially struggling company and he hung up on me. I take that as a yes.
Don't do business with this corrupt company that wastes your time and does not value you as a human being, let alone a customer. However, if you are feeling charitable, go for it. They really could use the money.
Pay online but wait forever on phone to cancel. Avoid MyFAX at all costs! The system works ok but there are alternatives that are better.

I signed up for a free trial on Aug. 10th just to be sure this service would work for my business. I signed up for the 100 pages outgoing and 200 pages incoming for $10 per month. I sent one fax that included a total of 50 pages. The fax went through successfully. I tried sending another fax a few days later with a total of 4 pages that did not go through successfully. I was charged $10 on Aug. 23rd and another $10 on Aug. 26th. When I called to inquire about the charges since I was not due to be charged until Sept 9, I was told that I had exceeded my pages and that it was a total of 121 pages actually sent since it does not go according to actual pages but how long it takes to send the pages. Once it was explained to me, I agreed to pay the overage which would have only been $2.10 since its. 10 cents per additional page. I was informed by 2 different reps that they would escallate my request for only a $10 refund however they are not sure it will be approved. So beware! I sent a total of 50 pages and was charged $20. If I'm lucky, I will get a $10 refund but reading the previous reviews, probably not likely.

Answer: It is a scam service, they will not fix your problem, cancel and call your bank for a charge back. They are offering a service they do not provide.
Answer: Because they can. I am sorry if that sounds flippant, but it is the truth and there is no other logical reason for it. Please note that they don't charge by the page, but rather by the minute and they purposely use a very small bandwidth to send pages.
Answer: If they canceled your account, the login won't work! Mine doesn't work anymore and I know for sure that it's right.
