During the last weeks I've used several dating sites. I also came across Meetme. Compared to other online dating sites like Mingle2day and eHarmony I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars. But compared to all the other sites I've came across during the last weeks (which were a waste of time to be honest) I think Meetme is really above average. Certainly, it is worth a try. It is easy to use and you will find many members and in my opinion most of them are real and genuine

If the incessant ads don't drive you away or make the mistake to waste money on paid subscription, you will soon learn the site is full of fakes and scam artists.

It is amazing how many women end up revealing they are living in Ghana or South Africa or elsewhere helping their only surviving family or some other hardship or study abroad. Ultimately asking for money.

Locals are not any better. In fact in addition to scamming they are typically low life's and no surprise the state they are in.

Don't waste you time, other options are out there... which have many or the same types but MeetMe and SKOUT have a cesspool of them in overwhelming numbers.

First time user to Meet me. Red flag #1 Every man I chatted with was either a widower or divorced. What's the likely hood of that?! Then the only contact they wanted was my number for texting. Red flag #2: If you have my number why wouldn't you just call? Red flag#3 Wanted you to download Kik or some other Chat app to continue talking off line. Stupid! Red flag #4 When I did get texts nice conversations started then abruptly stopped for hours. Perhaps their married? #5 Dudes talking about marriage and kids day two! But you can't pick up phone and call so I can at least see if you're actually a male or near the age you claim to be. Deleted account day 2 and still kept getting alerts from new admirers. Feels like a bunch of Loosers to me. Dangerous site.

If I could rate this 0 stars I would. I got on this site because a friend of mine met a really great guy on there, so I decided to try it out! They are all looking to hook up for sex. If they say they want a long term relationship they are scammers. A lot of them will say they want more or that they want to be FWB, but if you meet them and have sex they leave out the friendship part. It's a lot of bull! They don't want the friendship or the relationship just the sex! There are a lot of married people on there and at least they are upfront about what they want! If you are looking to hook up with people just to have sex, this is the site for you! If you are looking for a long term relationship then you need to go elsewhere!

Had an amazing first month on MeetMe and was feeling a bit sheepish after refusing to splash the cash on it for so long, but decided to quit and go back to wejustfit.com now. FYI I had gone for the 3 mnth membership plan and think this was a good place to start, no regrets there. In the first month I did some group nights out and had a couple of dates. Things slowed in month 2 and in September I couldnt get a date even when I lowered by admittedly high standards. Might try again next year.

I really wish I could give less than a full star. Because meetme deserves it, every little gold pixel, is earned.

Cons:

The entire site really is a con. They ask for money to buy things that no one wants, they ask you to verify your account up to 20X a day, and then still sit there telling you your account isn't verified, or that your own number, that you used less than 5 hours ago, belongs to an account already. Thanks Captain Obvious.

And do we discuss the posting guidelines? There are none really when you sign up, mainly because the entire site is self governed, other than a few mystic bots that send you messages in your messenger on the site, the honour system being based on "flagging" a post that is deemed unacceptable. Which your fellow members use to bully with, flagging posts of bunnies in order to trigger the system because you made the mistake of turning said member down for a moonlight BJ in the park.

No logic to the flagging, and better yet, no actual customer support, complaints, real or imagined, are ignored, and as far as most of us think, the site seems run by magical pixies who may disappear in a vapour of glitter if exposed to sunlight. But never fear, they'll make an appearance in order to ask you for yet more money.

Site is a joke. If you're looking to meet people, this isn't the site for it. The only thing you'll find up here is sadness and chlamydia.

These 2 are something! She is a cop, also doesn't desire intimacy as he stated to me they are friends that just decide to get married he's not in love with her or her him. She allows him to cheat all the time because she is ASexual. But the kicker is she commits felonies prior to him going over to the ladies house by looking their entire history up using her police database. They are both nuts! Don't give them the time of day. He and she illegally looked up my address and he showed up. He and she are crazy!

I always thought MeetMe was the first site that people tryed when they became single. I used it years ago and left after a while because it wasnt for me. Since then ive mostly been using WeJustFit and the odd weekend on Tinder for a laugh. I decided to try MeetMe again last week after they emailed me an offer and must say theyve improved a lot. Will probably use them more now.

Most middle aged women on the site are overweight and ugly. The pretty ones are few and far between too far too picky and unrealistic in what they want. The young ones are too stupid. One feature that could be ok if they would allow saving of posted pics. For those who like to collect pics. One major annoying thing is pics of women with their boyfriends and teenage brats or parents. Goal is dating the women not their whole family. My final complaint is the lights are on their profiles but nobody ever responds to inquiries. Only had one real person in whom I met up close and she was not like the person in her profile. If ugly was in dictionary her pic would be there. Overall, the goal on many social sites free or otherwise is to set your expectations low enough and nobody will be disappointed.
