The company has garnered a mixed reputation among customers, with some praising the potential for significant savings and a positive experience with customer support. However, a substantial number of reviews highlight serious concerns regarding product quality, misleading descriptions, and a lack of transparency about fees. Many customers express frustration over difficulties in obtaining refunds and the perceived gambling nature of the bidding process. Overall, while there are positive experiences, the prevailing sentiment suggests caution, as numerous users report feeling misled and dissatisfied with their purchases.

Been able to win countless items I could never afford from the High Streets. Moreover it's a nice way to pass that free time when there is nothing to do. With a bit of patience, you could be walking away with some awesome BARGAINS!
I was sucked in to this by what appeared to be a newspaper article, suggesting great bargains to be had in an auction. I believed the bargains to be true based on what I thought was buying power (foolish in hindsight, before the backlash!), and I was aware that products could be purchased using the money spent on credits if the auction wasn't won.
I have since seen numerous reviews, following my own experience of watching the continuation of an auction I was bidding in, and could see that it stopped with a list of other apparent bidders still in the list (looked as though they were autobidders). I had already given up due to the fact it had reached maximum price, but was using up all of my credits and would have ended up costing me more than RRP!
Clearly there were bots set up in the background to inspire bidding (research mentioned on other sites has highlighted this), and my credits were converted into "earned discount" which can be spent on any of the products listed, apparently at a discounted price, which are all above the prices I have found on the Internet by the way.
There is a refund policy in place, which states that any unused items which are returned within 14 days will be refunded in full. What it doesn't state, and was discovered by making a phone call, and not in the emailed reply I received from the customer service manager when I asked the question, was that the refund comes in the form of "earned discount", which is effectively a credit note. This is a guarantee that our hard earned cash is going to be spent on their over priced goods, which are limited in choice.
There appears to be pretty much no chance of winning an auction unless you have inside information as a techno boffin (no disrespect intended), and as a mere genuine mortal, we are basically filling their bank account with interest earning cash, with which we are entitled to buy over priced products within 365 days.
It really is time that this outfit was removed from any association with the organisations we put our trust in, such as paypal, and the newspapers with which they clearly post their own adverts to look like articles which are supported.
Thanks you for your comments Amanda, I hope our discussions have helped.
Beim dritten Anlauf die gewünschte Ware zu einem guten Preis gewonnen. Nach
Bezahlung absolut schnelle Lieferung der Ware. Sehr zu empfehlen.

I used madbid but did'nt win what I wanted. I earned credits to get a discount on Karcher K4 premium jet washer. I got this as a present for someones birthday, I gave it to them this weekend and when box was opened found damage and not all the equipment that should be there was there. The box had been opened and repacked which must have been don by an Apprentice as a monkey would have made a better job. This washer was not even for the UK market as it has a two pin EU plug on it. My honest opinion is that they sell secondhand goods at highly exagerated prices. I gave the site 1 star as you cannot give -10 stars. KEEP YOUR MONEY AS IT IS A CHEATING WEBSITE.
Just a quick update. Since placing this review I have heard from Madbid and they are going to replace the washer. I am pleased with this result but they could have replied to the customer supprt ticket I filled in on Saturday instead of after this review.
Thanks for the update Neil, I hope the replacement washer is working ok for you
Fairer Seite.

Do not waste your money. You have absolutely no chance on winning any bid. Even contacting them is impossible. When I tried to contact support they asked for my Username and password. When I entered this information the site states my password is wrong even though I was already signed into the bidding area using the same password.
So glad I didn't get sucked in to deep.
I'm sorry Madbid, how can you say I didn't use your site. I did use your site and it cost me £49.99.
After signing up, it was only necessary that I bought credits. I bought the lowest pack for £27 odd and received 200 and odd credits. On buying my credits, I was charged with a delivery charge of around £1.99. I then won another 200 credits, yet again I was charged with a delivery charge on £1.99. After this, I continued to bid, being clever I watched one thing at a time when bidding at the time, I was watching 1000 credits being auctioned. As I was watching this and clicking "bid", the screen would move about and I would find myself bidding for something else that wasn't relevant at all to me. Due to this, I used all of my credits up and had to buy more costing me around £35 and then my delivery charge which isn't necessary. I carried on bidding for these 1000 credits but then again found myself bidding for unnecessary auctions. After this, I found I had wasted around £70/£80 on absolute nothing and it was all because of the Madbid site. I understand it was my choice to buy the credits and I appreciate that fully, however, I am really annoyed at the site and its technological problems. Because of this I will never use the site again and would not advise anyone else to use it. Pure scam in my eyes.
It has a credit system makes you think you got money for nothing. This is called in-game currency and shows that they couldn't give less of a $#*! who they got their money from as its impossible to get your money back!
This site is nothing but a cheating site that induces unassuming visitors to bid for their auctions which are governed by deceitful terms and conditions that are surely made to take away ur hard earned money if u are unable to properly understand them. This so called 89%discount is offered at the cost of the unassuming customers who loose money to them and not because they procure items in bulk purchases or distress sales. Even the items offered as 'claim' or 'buy now' are far more than their usual market price because of added handling charges. If u buy credit... There are 99.99% chances that u loose and the products offered through 'earned discount' are costlier than usual and also worthless. They blow their own trumpet by overly publicizing the one winner who is able to win but what about those 99.99% bids that went unsuccessful? This way they lure and the credits bought from them are almost surely going to end up in loss of money.
Madbid.com, the only web site I know where you can click on a few buttons, spend hundreds of pounds and get absolutely nothing in return...
Well based on these errible reviews, i decided not to join and sign up for this site, as it look dodge and fraudlent guys
The legality of Madbid.com is all hinged on the Terms & Conditions
Hidden behind a "How it works" link, there you will find a condescending video that will have you
Believe how easy it is to win the auction. The chances of winning an auction are virtually none
Existent, as you have to bid against other bidders and bots, and the some of the bidders who have
More money than sense will use the Autobid function, which has the potential to keep the auction
Going on indefinitely. Recently I was bidding on an auction for MadBid credits, when I a saw my
"Buy Now" price was close to the Auction price, I decided to Buy the Credits.
1950 MadBid Credits Valued@ £194.99
My "Buy Now" Price £25.61
Plus "Earned Discount" £172.37
Credits Used 226
Bids per credits X 6
6 X. 12½p= 0.75p X 226 £169.50
Total Charge £367.48
£172.49 Over the original auction price.
My complain was dealt with very efficiently and quickly.
Spent £50 on credits & used them all bidding but someone bid more then saw the end price they paid for a product was MORE EXPENSIVE than it could be bought elsewhere, DONT use this MADBID plan, they get £££'s in credit payments from unsuccessful bidders then sell the product dearer than other sellers, this is not a bargain auction!
Listen, take it from me, I stupidly didn't look at reviews and believe me when I say I wish I had, you may as well take a match or lighter and burn your money, at the end of it you'll end up with the same result, NOTHING! Please please don't do it!
Following my recent review of madbid true to there word I had a full refund, just keep emailing them don't phone u probably won't get an answer plus it will cost u money but remember don't spend anything if u expect a refund.
The worst site in the world, i cant even tell you what a rip-off this site is. Just go on eBay for goodness sake, cause this sight is gonna rob you of your money if you go on it. Ahhhhhhhhh I hate this site it scammed me but don't let into scam you please listen to this review and dont go on madbid
Sucked up my credits costing me nearly £200, unable to stop it. Left with earned discount which cost me way more than I could of purchased on Amazon, plus charged £10 shipping - left completely out of pocket and with a product I don't really want. Awful scam
I suspected it to b scam n m proved right thru reviews on the net
Its simple why would anyone giveaway things cheap and also have all its reviews under consideration on the webpage which leads you to happy beneficiaries? This is obviously true about all shady businesses where there will be false happy reviews planted under fake names by themselves. Sharing credit card details etc could certainly be more troublesome. Theres one more somebody who keeps sending SMS saying you have won a million dollars and stuff. Actully earlier conmen would stalk streets. Especially tourist places. And esp in mysore the police doesn't heed such complaints too...? Shocking
I love it!
Won few auctions, and bought a few (many!) credits!
It is all about pacing yourself, know your spending limits, and you'll be sweet!
Also, whatever you invest in credits, will be there for you to use...
