My boss' wife just spent 45 minutes on the phone with the Fraud verification team for absolutely no reason and we will never give Macy's business again. This was the most ridiculous phone call I have ever listened in on and someone needs to be aware of this. She tried to be transferred to customer service to let them know what transpired and after waiting for another 5 minutes on hold the call was dropped. The call started with the team requiring that she get her husband, a CEO of a company with no time for something like this, on the phone since it was his name on the billing. She explained the situation and that she is on the card as well, and they let her know that the only option to speak to her would be to cancel the order and put it back through with her name on it. So she agreed to be transferred and have them cancel and re-order which took 20 minutes for "prices to be adjusted" so they could be the same as the original order, when the original order was placed an hour prior. Then, after waiting all that time, she was transferred back to the original team she started with, just to find out that the order was never cancelled and replaced... which was infuriating, since she just wasted that whole 20 minutes to have that happen. So she finally disturbed her husband, got him on the phone, and then had him pass the phone back just to have them confirm to her that yes, she did just waste 45 minutes on the phone as they had already been able to independently verify there was no fraud after just 2 minutes before she was told that they still needed her husband to get on the phone regarding the order. This was the most baffling situation with no one trying to make it right and eventually allowing the call to be dropped. Buyer beware, I would never ever order something online from Macy's ever again and would recommend that no one ever do so.

I have shopped at Macy"s now for about 10 years, and comparing these guys to some of their competitors they run rings around them. Price and service they are great, but better still if you have any returns, they never argue and always help.
I have shopped on this site many times and they do have comparable items vs. Nordstrom. The problem is if you're on this site for too long it tends to freeze and crash and you have to keep going back to main group and click down to category you're looking at. When you choose an item to put in wish list or cart it sometimes gets stuck going back to main page of items listed in category. So it's hard to do continuous shopping for various items in different categories. Have used Windows and iPad systems.
I love the Macy's web site. I buy all my work suits and jackets. They fit perfectly. Usually, I have a problem with ordering on the internet, but never have had a problem with Macy's. I totally recommend using their web site for all your ordering pleasures!

I ordered some furniture through Macy's website and it was an astounding experience. The product was excellent, delivered on time, and assembled. It was terrific. On the other hand, I get so frustrated trying to order online. If you are not having it delivered to your home address, their "security software" cancels the order every time. I now order online and then pick it up at the store. A little more cumbersome but necessary if I want to order Macys products.
Almost everything I have ordered from Macy's I have kept, but the few times I returned items, it was never a problem returning it to the store for a full refund. When shopping in the store, they are always ready to find you any extra discounts available at that time. I always shop the sales & then use extra coupons.

I order children's clothing from Macy's on line and find it extremely convenient especially when they are on sale plus additional percentage discounts. My only drawback is as with a lot of well known clothing stores on line, there is a minimum amount you need to spend to receive free shipping. Thus, if you are shopping, as I do for the holidays, it is well worth going through the selection process and place an order on line. Macy's in my area, Newington, NH, is very nice, has a variety of clothing, make-up and housewares and is a well stocked store; It is convenient and has a lot of parking available. The associates are very pleasant and are always there to help the customer.

I love shopping with Macy's especially when it has special promos. My most recent purchase was a LancĂ´me gift with purchase. I was sent the wrong free gift item and I called up the customer service. I ended up getting a 15% discount on my purchase as well as a $25 Macy's gift card since they didn't have the correct free gift item I originally requested after I mailed back the wrong item.
P.S. I also used Upromise rebate site, thus on top of all the discount & gift card I received from Macy's, I also get 10% cash back on my purchase. How cool is that!
I bought a comforter set, with my major credit card. Thank GOD it was not my ATM card. I authorized 329.00. They authorized my card 3 times! So I had a hold on my card for almost 1000. 00. They claim that they charge the card for the sale and then charge for the shipped items and then charge again for the remaining items shipped. What kind of system is this?! I could not use my card bc it had a hold and I was on a business trip! Buyer beware! Macy will steal your money. It will take at least 7to 10 business days for the hold to be released! This is the most ridiculous system I have ever heard of!
After hearing a lot of good things about Macy's, I decided to go into the store and check it out myself. Sadly, there was nothing I could afford, and nothing I would want to pay so much for. Believe me, I had money with me. But if I have $50, I would rather spend it on multiple shirts instead of just one.

We only bought one thing from there and that was silverware. We went there on a recommendation. The silverware were bend and not shaped right. Took them back and it took 6 boxes of the same silverware and at least 45 minutes to put a good set together. Won't go back.
