Let's talk about shopping on Macy's for this past Christmas. Due to the pandemic, I wanted to order my presents online and with plenty of time incase of issue. That being said, I placed a large order in early November. Every item shipped separately, which I didn't realize, because most things were coming directly from the vendor, which is cool because Macy's can offer free shipping and other discounts the vendor directly wouldn't. I was happy with the sales I received and to get a chunk of my Christmas shopping out of the way, but after tracking not updating for two weeks, I was informed some of my items were back ordered and there was an "infinite back order" meaning they have no clue when my item would get to me. I needed these items for Christmas and didn't feel like finding something else, so I waited, and waited, and waited. Just as I was about to cancel my order (a month later) I got a message saying my order was now confirmed and my items were shipped. It barely arrived in time for christmas, but I will say I'm glad it did, but very stressful and customer service was friendly, but not of much help. It was a little confusing to have everything ship at different times, so watch out for that. I'm not sure if they just weren't prepared around the holiday times or what, but it got a bit messy. I would suggest just buying in stores, but you can definitely find better promo codes and discounts on the website. Ultimately, just don't rely on getting your items by a certain date and you probably won't be as disappointed.
I purchased expensive diamond earring and the post broke off after I wore them once. I contacted Macy's Southridge in Greenfield WI and the ladies in the jewelry department were not helpful. They said I cannot return them and have to contact the manufacturer and pay to get them repaired. The ladies were rude and disrespectful. They had no concern at all for the situation. It's not wonder Macy's is struggling with employees and policies like this.

I get a perfume today for my birthday. I don't like to much. I drive to Macys westshore Tampa. I ask a old lady with a pice fabric in her face for retorn. She ask for a receipt. I show her a online receipt. She ask for I follow her and she told me they don't accept Channel retorn.
At Macys website says:
"We want you to love your purchase, but if you are not completely satisfied, we gladly accept most returns by mail and in stores within 90 days of purchase for free. Exceptions are noted below. Returned items must be in original, saleable condition with original tags. Shipping and delivery fees are non-refundable.
Note: Any new or gently used Cosmetic or Fragrance product purchased at Macy's that does not meet your needs will be accepted for return."
They don't say anything about don't accept Channel product.

Macy's credit card system has a two account per customer. If you have an Amex( American Express card) you have two accounts. Supposedly purchase in store is placed on the in-store account. Out of store purchase is placed on Amex card. However if you only have an Amex card, all payments go on that card. In-store credit card is Citibank. Bill statements donot differentiate. Plus credit card calls go to a call center in India. The staff struggle with english and other staff can be heard in the background. Your information is not safe!
Macy's so-called White Glove Service, which is actually the name of the company they use to deliver furniture, is awful! If there were no stars available, I would actually give them negative ones. They delivered twice to my home, once two patio chairs and once a patio table. With regard to the chairs, they wanted to know if I needed to have the chairs taken out of their boxes! With regard to the patio table, I had made requests twice to Macy's representatives to insure that they would be wearing masks over their noses. One did, one did not. When I asked him to put his mask over his nose, he refused and simply went back into the truck! The other one finished putting the table together (in a light drizzle) and then left it in the garage. It would have been very easy for them to put the table together in the garage. In any case, the table looks awful, with many scratches and dents. I will be returning the table and requesting a refund of the delivery charges for both the chairs and the table. Given the rude, obnoxious, and incompetent behavior of these delivery folks, my guess is that Macy's is paying very little for this service and overcharging customers. My suggestion is not to buy any furniture from Macy's!
I selected a coffee table and two end tables for my living room in August 2020. The two end tables were delivered in September and the coffee table was on back order until the first week in December.
As of December 23,2020 the coffee table has not been delivered and now the customer service representative said no availability information is in the system and an email will be sent with any update information.

If you purchase and want to cancel they make it very hard. Can't cancel on website or order ticket. Call a foreigner who speaks no English and they lie. Have to call 30 times. I ordered an item. When I received the item, it was the wrong item. I call customer service which was an ordeal. I was told that the item I ordered was out of stock, so I had no choice but to return it. I was told that I would be issued a refunded but after I received an email confirmation of the refund I noticed that I was only refunded for the item and not the shipping even though it wasn't my fault, so now I am out of $12 for shipping. Lesson learned... don't order online from Macy's. Plus, I have the time and cost to return the item. So lose, lose for me. When I returned the item to the store, I asked about the shipping charge, even though they were sympathetic to my situation, they said they couldn't do anything. When I got home I submitted a complaint to Macy's online but haven't heard anything back. I am making sure to share my experience online to warn other shoppers.
I posted my complaint to their FB page and got a response to PM them. After a day, I finally had a PM conversation and was refunded the shipping cost. I just wish that this had been taken care of through the regular channels like in the store or over the phone. I even sent my complaint through the website twice and never heard a response. So my message is to keep trying.
I placed a fairly large order online. I was able to use 2 promo codes even though I purchased sale items and also got free shipping. I ended up saving almost 75% on my total order AND had it delivered to my house for free. Everything was packaged well and received in a very timely manor of less than a week.

Ordered for the 1st time. Never shopped at Macy's before. I order online weekly at other stores with no problems. Macy's stated online that my order must ship yo store instead of my home and gave me 3 choices of locations. I chose Town East Mall. I got an email order shipped and come to my home between 10-2. Tracking showed delivered at 1:12. No package came to my home. I work from home so I was home. I called customer service twice. No clue. Just promise of a credit back. Then I get email I will get gift card credit for Macys. I DON'T WANT MACY GIFT CARD. WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN. REALLY?. TERRIBLE!
Worst customer service ever! I purchased two items and it takes forever for them to be shipped. I called customer service because I'm going away and needed items to be expedited. They refused to expedite or cancel my purchase which no one will be here to pick up. Non one tried to even assist with my problem. If I could give zero stars I would.
I placed my order super early to ensure my mom would get her birthday present... well her bday came and went. Order still says waiting for ups pick up. 13 days after ordering... not everything ordered at this time of year is for Christmas. Not happy.

I have been dealing with this company for five months. They charged me over $1000 for packages I never received. They sent out the packages again. The phone rep sent them to the wrong address. They did this twice! Then they blacklist my account for purchases. Then they send me to apology letters for their employees making mistakes. They never remove me from the blacklist but they keep charging me for things I don't get it. Now I can't get my money back, I haven't got the products and they have me on some crazy list that has nothing to do with me. Good luck trying to get any help. I called once a week I spent about 46 hours. It's about the principal now for me. The phone reps are ignorant, do not listen, and have no idea how to handle upper level it is. Shame on you Macy's. Dishonest, treating your good customers like crap and never having a real phone number than anybody can get a hold of anybody to get through help.
I bought pillow shams from Macy's online. Their online Reg price was $50 per sham and the deal was 60% discount with additional 15% discount. So they charged me $16.99 plus tax per sham. I thought I had a great deal until I received the products. The product label inside of the package say Retail price: $29.99. I simply thought that it was their mistake and went to Macy's mall for the price adjustments. Since the retail price is $29.99, with 60% discount and 15% additional discount, I should be charged for $10.20 plus tax per sham. I went to the mall and they scanned the product and told me the reg price was $60 in their system. Because I have never paid more than retail prices in my life in any other stores, I asked them if they were marking up the price and deceiving customers. They kept repeating like a parrot, "Well you did not pay more than the price $29.99." So, I called the customer service for this price conflicts and they kept ignoring the retail price on the product package and told me that $29.99 was the discounted price when it clearly says "Retail price:$29.99" Finally, I gave up talking to them and I decided to leave a product review to let people know how Macy's was lying to its customers with prices. Well, their site would not let me upload the picture shown below. I loved to shop at Macy's and I had no issues before. But this dishonesty price mark up will take them out of business in the future for sure.

I purchased a bed frame for my son's birthday and couldn't understand why I wasn't getting a shipping date confirmation, so I went to the Macys site and saw they were out of it and it wouldn't arrive anywhere near in time, so I canceled. The next thing I find out (about 2 weeks later) is that the bed frame is on its way and they charged my account! I had canceled and bought directly from the bed frame company, so we obviously didn't need 2 of them. I have spent about 3 days for a total of 3 hours and 45 minutes talking to no less than 7 reps to clear this up. They finally refunded a portion and said the remaining $43 would be refunded as soon as the bed was back in their warehouse... It's been 7 weeks exactly since I canceled the order. I'm thinking the bed frame is back in their warehouse and I am not looking forward to spending that much time on the phone again just to get the rest of my money back, but I will. I should mention, they also messed up a 2nd order of a winter coat. They returned that order by mistake (in all this bed frame fiasco mess) and gave me the full amount of the money back for that, but I no longer have that winter coat on it's way to me. I have one more order pending and after that, no more Macy's shopping for me EVER again.
