I took Heal'N'Soothe for two weeks--6 capsules at night and 3 before I ate in the morning, and within two weeks noticed a huge difference in my thumb and forefinger, both of which had trigger finger. And my pinky, which has an arthritis bump or nodule on it, no longer hurts me. I am noticing that not using the product for a few months has brought slight symptoms back in the trigger fingers once in a while, but I am very satisfied. They did a good job of stopping and starting my account and have been totally aboveboard about pricing, auto-shipping, etc.

Lisa D. I ordered and received a copy of The End of all Disease by Jesse Cannone. After reading much of the book and finding strange sounding claims about all cancers being caused by intestinal parasites, I researched on the internet. He heavily quotes and relies on the work of a Dr. Hula Clark. He does not tell you that she was sued for fraud many times or that she had legal troubles in Indiana for practicing medicine without a license. Furthermore, he does not tell you that Ms. Clark died on September 3,2009 of complications of multiple myeloma. Please go to quackwatch.com to read Stephen Barrett M. D. on The Bizarre Claims of Hula Clark. It is quite eye opening. Don't waste your $5.95 on this book like I did. There is some useful information in it on other topics. However I will not be ordering any other products from this company. Scam alert.

You have valid concerns, and let me reply with what our stance is.

Alternative medicine is largely "experience medicine". While orthodox
Medicine starts wit a hypothesis, tests that first in the lab, then maybe
In animals, then in humans, and finally ends up with a product to market
That has been "scientifically" tested and proven, this process in holistic
Medicine is usually reversed.

The scientific method of orthodox medicine has its own problems, for
Example that it is generally found that drugs do not work as well when they
Are used on the general public as the studies suggested. Also, many
Hypotheses are found wrong and never become a product, and finally, while
The use of many of these products has been proven, their side effects are
Often also severe but often not weighed sufficiently against the benefits.
It has been found, for example, that statins will lower the chance of heart
Attacks, but that overall survival is about the same for patients taking
Statins or not. This means that the side effects wipe out the apparent
Benefit.

The procedure in holistic medicine is generally this one: a practitioner
Such as Dr. Clark, Dr. Gerson, Dr. Rau, Dr. Weill, Dr. Whoever, will try
And find some workable approaches while working with the patients. This is
To a large degree trial and error, yet it can be ventured upon because most
Of the remedies used have little or no side effects. After many years of
Practice such a therapist will reach some conclusions as to what is
Actually working in practice, and will then maybe formulate some hypotheses
As to why this is working. Those are then maybe tested in a lab or in
Animals or in actualy clinical trials at the end of the process. Once they
Have, this knowledge should then really not be "alternative" any more. It
Should be absorbed into orthodox medicine because it now has undergone the
Same kind of testing. It usually still isn't accepted then, though.

How ever that may be, with most of these approaches there is some
Uncertainty as to the effect. Someone will assert that it works from years
Or usually decades of experience. Many patients prefer to work with less
Harmful remedies that are proven in practice than more harmful remedies
Proven in a lab. I summarize this as "while in alternative medicine we know
The remedies work but no one knows why, in orthodox medicine everyone knows
Exactly why they don't work". That is a bit sarcastic of course and it is
Not really true, as obviously there are plenty of useful and workable
Therapies in orthodox medicine. However, not usually for chronic
Conditions, and we believe that due to the fact that orthodox medicine
Tries to cure the patient while alternative medicine tries to get the body
To a point where it cures itself. Also orthodox medicine focuses on cure
While holistic medicine focuses on prevention; finally, orthodox medicine
Looks at a problem that it tries to cure while holistic medicine looks at
The underlying causes which it tries to remove. In a simple situation, for
Example where a specific bacterium causes a specific condition, the
Approach of orthodox medicine is usually very effective. In complex
Situations, where many causes add up over a long time to a systemic
Condition, orthodox medicine usually has little to offer, or only some
Band-aids which don't really cure and may even do more harm in the long
Run.

You ask if this isn't quackery, I woud ask what the definition of quackery
Is. If you define quackery is "scientifically" unproven medicine, then all
Of alternative medicine would be quackery. But the defintion of it that I
Find is this: Random House Dictionary describes a "quack" as a "fraudulent
Or ignorant pretender to medical skill" or "a person who pretends,
Professionally or publicly, to have skill, knowledge, or qualifications he
Or she does not possess; a charlatan".

Dr. Clark has never sold any products besides her services and her books,
And she was mostly poor and died poor and left nothing behind. So there
Isn't any fraud in this. She may have been wrong, but she certainly stood
For what she said. Whether she is an ignorant pretender would be a matter
Of viewpoint, but she was practicing from 1963 until 2008, I value that
Experience high. She had a doctorate in biology and I think one can't claim
That she did not know her facts. Furthermore, she disclosed in her books
Very openly what her research consisted of and how she came about her
Conclusions, therefore I don't think one could say she pretended anything
Or was a charlatan. The many people she treated and who are alive today who
Were supposed to die would testify for her. Of course, she had her failures
Too and probably only time will tell how much of what she said will stand
Up against the test of time.

But if I may recall one thing here: When Dr. Clark suggested the use of the
Zapper for cancer in 1995, there were no scientific papers on the subject
At all. Meanwhile, low intensity DC current has been tested in several
Places and there are a dozen or more publications about it. I think one
Must bear in mind that coming up with something entirely novel is a feat
That should not be underestimated.

Kind Regards

Heal and soothe
November 14, 2015

I wasn't overwhelmed with heal and soothe, however I have had great success with rub on relief. I previously used 10 % ibuprofen gel following multiple knee surgery. Rub on relief is possible better. You do need to apply a generous enough amount. I recently grabbed a once in a lifetime deal just to find the customs bill directed my way. This made the deal not so good and in fact more run of the mill.

I don't know why folk are complaining. I have used the guys at Losethebackpain for years and they are great. Doctors, surgeons, physios are rubbish. Stupid doctors who do not understand back pain just prescribe pain killers like sweets. The idiot who prescribed me Tramadol needs putting down. The only way you will cure back pain is to find the cause. Heal and Soothe is brilliant, it helps with all joints in the body and not just the back. Don't believe the negative comments on here, they will be from the competition. Lol

After 15 emails over a month and a half, they still owe me for double charging me. They actually reversed the extra charge once and emailed me a record of the reversal, then turned around and re-billed me the same day.

They initially appeared to be very accommodating, answering my emails quickly. Their last email to me was two weeks ago. I replied that day and have received no more responses.

They also do business as www.losethesciaticpain.com.

This company is a joke and a scam. They charge your account in different denominations so that you won't notice the charges. When confronted they will ignore you and dodge you until you contact your CC company and tell them not to accept charges from these predators. Disgusting and pathetic way of doing business.

I was sucked in by these scammers, it was an offer of a free pilates DVD for the cost of postage for which I stupidly gave them my credit card details. I have just realised that I have been charged different amounts each month for the past 11 months! This adds up to approximately $325.00 AU. I will be visiting my bank on Monday to get all the details and report this scam. I will not rest until I am refunded. I did not at any time sign up for monthly newsletters at the cost of approximately $30.00 per month, this is a fraudulent scam!

I found similar products containing proteolytic enzymes for a fraction of the cost in a Health Food Store. When I cancelled my automatic order I was offered a discounted rate of $39 from $49. When I passed on that, I was offered another discount down to $29 a bottle... what a rip off. Why not just charge the $29 a bottle and be honest?

So glad I read this before being suckered in. Absolutely appalling business ethics. He gives the 'alternative community' a bad name. This guy should be thrown in the slammer for that offence alone. And yes, those positive reviews have just gotta be by friends/relatives of the site owner. He should be ashamed of himself.

This company offered me a free trial of a pain relief product. I only had to pay the postage, so I decided to try it. I never did because I gave it to a friend with much worse pain. Later I received another bottle of the pills which I assumed was a mistake, since I hadn't ordered it and my credit card company sent a bill. Now they've apparently sent more pills and when I told them to stop, they said I had automatically agreed to recurring orders. This is nonsense. I never agreed to any such thing. The Healthy Back Institute is nothing but a rip-off artist and should have their business license revoked. Beware of this company!

Yes, we offer free trials on most of our supplements. This way you can “test” the effectiveness before you buy.

And because lots of customers used to call in to order more supplements shortly after their trial bottles ran out, we now automatically ship them out after a certain time period (and charge the credit card a discounted rate).

This is called “autoship”. And those terms are clearly spelled out on the order page, and include details on:

Shipping fee for free trial

The fee for autoship

How long you have to cancel autoship so you are not charged

That you are under NO obligation to continue beyond your free trial bottle

The phone number to contact us to cancel

As an added level of safety to our customers - to make sure no one can “accidentally” order without 100% agreeing to these terms and conditions - the order button is disabled by default.

The ONLY way you can activate the button - and therefore order a free trial and enroll in autoship - is to physically click on a checkbox indicating you understand and agree to the terms and conditions.

I apologize if this is not 100% clear on the order form.

I accepted an offer for a free book from the Healthy Back Institute. I was asked to give my credit for shipping costs. I later found out that I had been charged $19.95 (3 months in a row) for their newsletter. I did not want there newsletter, and had not read it. It just came in the mail and I thought it was junk mail. When I asked to be refunded the charge, they said they had sent me an email (which I never read-thought it was spam). Because I didn't tell them I didn't want their newsletter, they sent it and I had to pay for it. They never did refund me my money. I feel they fraudulently used my credit card (charged it without my permission) and the online offer for a free book was only a method of getting my credit card number. There customer service representatives, including the supervisor, were very unresponsive.

I ordered the heel and smooth and got the pain and joint pills also. I read the pamphlet from front to back and realized as I'm taking these that I'm swelling up well In very very tiny letters it says it contains shellfish ( but doesn't exactly tell you which shellfish) I contacted my doctor and was given an antidote. I've found out you have to keep multiplying the dosage per day until you're taking about 20 pills in the morning 20 at night.
What's the kind of intake?, it forces you to order more product in order to keep up the "required" regimen. It DOESNT tell you that whatsoever in their advertisement or online commercials!
No thanks! I'll have a lot more common sense about something like this from now on!

My name is Steve, Director of Client Services, for the Healthy Back Institute (HBI), we need to confirm your identity so that we can address your needs.

Please email me direct about this matter (remove the spaces and parentheses) hbi (.) support (@) gmail (.) com

The Super Joint Support label clearly states it contains Shellfish, it's even bolded, and we do tell you Crab and/or Shrimp shell.

As for the Heal n Soothe, and the serving, since the enzymes do not have an RDA, we do offer options or suggestions to increase the serving size as the enzymes are measured in the amount of fibrin or scar tissue they can break down over time so the more enzymes you take the faster you can breakdown and eliminate this excess fibrin or scar tissue from your body. To be clear we never tell people to take 40 capsules a day, that is outrageous. Most customer take between 3 and 12 a day total, some take more but that is rare, and on top of that we only suggest the activation serving for a few days to a few weeks at most.

If you have any customer service needs with us please use this link https://losethebackpain.com/contact-us/

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback about your recent experience with our company. We’re disappointed we failed to meet your expectations as our goal is to provide only the highest quality products, services and information with every interaction you have with us.
It appears you agreed to our monthly autoship service when you accepted your free trial. I’ll explain how to easily and immediately cancel this service below. But first, I wanted to address for your sake and those who will read your review and our response, how our autoship program works.

** How Our Autoship Program Works **
When we offer a free trial, it’s with the expectation that you’ll love the product. Most do. The purpose of a free trial is to give you the opportunity to experience it for yourself and decide before ever paying full price whether you’d like to continue using it.
For that reason, we make it easy to continue receiving the product you received a trial of by enrolling you – with your express permission – in our autoship program.

We always clearly and concisely provide full details of the autoship program in plain, regular size print front and center on the order page. Not buried in fine print. And, because we know some may still only skim the details before placing their order, we require all customers to manually select a checkbox indicating they’ve read those Terms & Conditions before ordering by disabling the Order button until they select that box.
For the benefit of all reading this review, here is the actual text we provide on the Order Form that must be agreed to before accepting the trial offer with autoship service:

Terms & Conditions:
If you're 100% FULLY SATISFIED with Heal-n-Soothe® then do nothing, and in 30 days from your order date automatically receive a Full 30 Day Supply Bottle, each and every month with SmartShip. For the low Trial-Members Only price of Just $49.95 - That's a savings of $9 OFF the regular price of $59.00.
You are under NO obligation to continue beyond your FREE Trial bottle.

If the Heal-n-Soothe® trial doesn't work for you, just cancel AutoShip within 30 days of this order, no questions asked, by simply calling toll-free
1-800-216-4908.

As you see, anyone can cancel their autoship order long before we ever ship and bill for it with a quick toll-free phone call. However, you can still easily cancel your order at any time. Here’s how...
** How to Easily Cancel Any Autoship Order **
Our goal is to send you only what you want, only when you want it. That’s why we give you multiple ways to contact our Customer Service team to modify or cancel any order you place.
Our preferred way for you to contact us is through the “Submit a request” form in our online helpdesk system found here:
https://thehealthybackinstitute.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
This link takes you directly to the form. The reason that’s our favored method of communication is because your request gets entered directly into our system exactly how you want to communicate your need to us. It also notifies our customer support team by email that you have submitted a request.
However, we also provide our full contact information, whether you wish to reach us by phone, fax or regular mail, along with our customer service hours of operation on our Contact Us page found here:
http://www.losethebackpain.com/contact-us/
You are welcome to reach us using any of these methods to cancel, suspend or modify your autoship order or with any other questions you may have.

Thank you again for providing your feedback on your experience. I hope with our reply you’ll consider amending your review.

I, like dozens of other people who are reporting here, got scammed by this company. I decided to try the free trial offer (just paid shipping & handling fee of 5 dollars) of the Super Joint Support supplements. Soon after, I received another bottle of these capsules in the mail and was charged almost 50 dollars on my credit card. I called the company and they told me this was non-refundable, even if I returned the product! I thought I was smarter than that, but I guess I didn't read the 5 pages of small print when I signed up for the "free" trial offer. Lesson learned. But the fact that this company will not accept a return of the product, unopened, for a refund, is a tip off to the very obvious truth that this borders on mail fraud, or at the very least, a very unethical operation.

I expected to find only old reviews here, and the business defunct.
It must be getting close to a decade ago that I got the book free, or for a low price, and then the unrequested product started arriving in the mail. Along with the unexpected billing.

I am excellent at reading the fine print, and researching the product, and missed that. It could be me making a blunder --- and it could be the fine print was well hidden.

I returned the product unopened "refused - return to sender" and discontinued what seemed, at least to me, the scam.

I read the book. As an avid, literate, well-read reader, I can say that the book had no new or useful information, and was a long printed advertisement for the product.

That could have been the end of it, but it gets worse.
The author of the book got on Amazon and argued in a hostile manner with everyone who gave the book a poor review.
I have seldom seen such unprofessional behavior.

You folks out there claiming losethebackpain.com is a scam because you are getting unexplained credit card charges need to look at the details of what you purchased. You agreed to and paid $1.99 to review his monthly newsletter for 30 days. After the 30 days expired if you didn't cancel then you agreed to be charged 19.95 per month for the newsletter. All you have to do is call them to cancel.

It annoys me that you folks litter review sites like this for products that are good just because you failed to read what it was you were buying. And at this point it appears you have put more effort into defaming his good business rather than taking action to heal yourself. You are in an endless cycle you deserve.

Bad customer service
August 2, 2020

I received the promotional offer, which I didn't try. I then received a further bottle & when I checked, they had signed me up for monthly orders without my consent. I returned the order 30/6/20 cost me £10.65 with a letter enclosed stating I didn't want to receive any further orders. Low & behold another order was delivered Sat 1st Aug.
I contacted my CC com & they have put a stop on any requests for payments. So if I receive any further deliveries, Unwilling not be paying for them to be returned.
I hope this is taken on board.
I did try ringing the Tel no(*******908 but it states this is not a number. I have tried emailing, there's can't problem here also.
Reading some of the reviews, it does sound like can scan, just wanting your money not, a very badleybrun company.
