Returned two books. The rental was 14 days late (I admit that). Was charged 100% MSRP (full price of NEW book) for used books. When they received the books, I was only refunded 50% of that outrageous charge.
When I finally spoke to a human in customer service, she was rude, argumentative, and frankly unapologetic.
My son has about 6 more years of undergrad and graduate studies. All of those future rentals will be from other companies. I am making it a point to express my dissatisfaction at every possible site on the web.
The textbook came pretty quickly! Satisfied with the speed.
Knetbooks advertises on their site that you would receive your order in 3-5 days, but they don't mention that it takes 3-5 business days for them to locate the book and then ANOTHER 3-5 business days for you to receive it.
It's been over a week now and i still have not received my shipping confirmation email, so they must still be trying to locate my book. Meanwhile i have homework due this week. This is truly unacceptable. I should've just ordered off amazon--i would've paid a little more, but at least i would've received it last week, so i could do my readings and do my homework in a timely manner.
Very disappointed with the service that I'm getting. I cannot get no tracking information other than it was been shipped over 2 weeks ago on 1-18-2024. Cannot get anyone on the phone to get information.

I've been using knetbooks for many years for various schools and I'm never disappointed. Prices really are some of the lowest around for renting. I will continue using them whenever I need and I've even recommended them to others.
I have been ordering my books from here throughout nursing school and they have yet to fail me! I have been recommending this site for years as it has saved me, close to a thousand dollars at this point!
An easy way to rent books for a cheap price and also a free easy return when finished. I loved my first experience with kent books.com. I loved how they provided a shipping label to send back the book when finished and gives you options of how long you would like to use the book.

I found this website and was very happy that I did. I found all of my daughters books that she needed for this semester for less than several other sites. The books came fast and were all in great shape. The whole process was a breeze. I will definitely check this website first next time.

Ordered a book for class and never received my order. I contacted Knetbooks and was told that UPS marked book as delivered and because of that they have to go by what UPS states. Mind you, I lived in a locked, accessed controlled building. I was home all day on the date of the supposed delivery and I never let anyone in the building. The book was never delivered but because some random delivery person states it was delivered to my door, I am on the hook for a $100+ textbook that I never even saw. KentBooks keeps saying that there is nothing they can do. BS, they most definitely just lost a loyal customer.
I reported to you the original damages on the rental textbook, as required, when I just received it today. This is too make sure that I am not charged in the future for these damages that already existed, and that I did not cause.
I ordered a book a week before classes were starting, and heard nothing until right before classes were starting that said they have cancelled my order since they could not find a supplier. How do you allow me to buy a book on your site that you do not have any access to? This shows a lack of effort on their side and that they simply do not pay enough attention to their company. Now I will have no textbook going into classes, and on top of it all, I have to wait 3-5 business days for my refund! Why?
They sent me an email on 6/6 saying that my order is due 6/5. That doesn't help much. Then when I try to login to my account, and it said my account was expired. I have to login to my account to extend a due date, print off the UPS return label, etc. So I try to reset my account and it said I should get an email in moments. Never got the email. The website says they have great customer service and a number to call. Can't find the number anywhere. So I have to email them and wait who knows how many days for a response. Bad customer service, don't care about the customer at all, do NOT recommend.
I received a message stating my order was delivered and when I checked my mailbox, it was not there. When I chatted with the representative, they let me know that it was delivered to the local UPS store. I didn't get a single notification that this was going to be the case and I have my correct mailing address on the order. The rep said I needed to contact the store "to shed some light on this unacceptable work ethic." That's a direct quote from the chat transcript. I paid an extra $10 for expedited shipping and had to go pick the package up. If I hadn't reached out, I wouldn't have even known it was delivered there.
I will never use this service again for my kid! Do not rent from here! This is a waste of you time and money, and to have a college kid wait on books they don't have and have no idea when they will get is ridiculous!
The process has been incredibly smooth so far and the book was in fantastic condition.
I ordered my book on June 14 and received it June 29. I needed it by June 25 before I left for a month on the road. I did not receive it as promised. Their excuse was that USPS has been slow lately. If they knew this, why not use another carrier? Now they tell me if I do not return it before I get home, I cannot get a refund. They actually told me to have a neighbor do it for me. WHAT? Inconvenience a neighbor for their error? For the trouble they have caused, they should honor the return after I get home. I have recently ordered from Chegg who will deliver my book, on the road, in 2 days. I will NEVER use KnetBooks again. STEER CLEAR!
After ordering my textbook- the first time with Knetbooks- I waited for the 5th business day and still not receive a shipping confirmation. I emailed the company- they did promptly return my email- but only to let me know the book was unavailable and they would ship it as soon as possible providing a free 2-day shipment. My classes started and I had to cancel the order to buy the book elsewhere only to be told that my refund would take 3-5 business days. Will NEVER rent from this company again- AVOID at all costs.
I had the worst experience with knetbooks which I am very disappointed because I have rented with them for many years, and they treat loyal customers like crap. I was in the hospital for emergency surgery with no access to call or return my items which were five days late. This company charged me the entire amount of the book without notice nor did the policy state this was a thing. The amount was about $300 after I was discharged from the hospital I called and explained to them what happen and they didn't care the lady stated that if I got to a phone that they would have offered me an extension but since I didn't that they couldn't do anything. That's ridiculous if I would have called it could be late, but I didn't so they charge me $300 without notice I call that stealing and fraud. I went into an emergency surgery and they did not care. I will not recommend this company to anyone ever again. WHAT A SCAM!

Answer: Infinity, because you will never receive it. And if you do receive it, it comes damaged and then when you try to return your rental that try saying the original damage is your fault and charge you a ridiculous price for a small damage that had already come with it. Or sometimes several pages are missing.
Answer: Hi Tatum, We do allow some highlighting in our rentals but we ask that you dont highlight excessively. If you return the rental back to us with over one-third of the text highlighted, we may have to mark the book as damaged. Highlighting can be distracting for future renters and we may not be able to add an overly-highlighted book back into our inventory. Consider using page flags to mark an important sentence. Flags can help you easily get back to the page you need. Page flags are also small enough that they can be used multiple times on the same page. Plus, they are really easy to remove from the textbook before you send it back at the end of the semester. Let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you!
