Extremely rude company. I have been trying to order a USB cable for weeks, but every time Jumia refuses to deliver it, even though I have paid in advance. After being canceled many times, I placed a new order that would be delivered the next day, of course this took longer. I finally received my order, guess what? Only 1 cable was delivered instead of the two I paid for, I only received 1. This happens very often with Jumia, you pay for multiple items and then deliver less. You have a problem with that. You can try to call, this will certainly take hours or you can contact the chat, which will take at least an hour and you will be constantly lied to by a bunch of rude employees. Now I have to send my cable back to Jumia and cancel the order. What do you think they refuse to take back the order? I have now paid UGX ******* for a USB cable. Whatever happened to me that I ordered a phone and paid for it, they send a phone that is UGX ******* cheaper, a different type. This was also a drama to get your money back. Placing an order with Jumia is like a lottery, you only have a small chance of getting the right item and Jumia not doing its job is the problem for the customer

The first time I ordered, the agent asked me to pay into his account. He claimed the Jumia account was not working. I refused. Instead I looked for an account number to pay to but could not find one. I tried calling the different numbers on the website, both do not exist. Agent left with my product and I was told via the online chat that my order would be resent. An hour later I got a notification that my order was cancelled. No explaination. Again I used the chat and was told to place a new order. I did this and paid immediately via transfer. My order was confirmed. Then the next day my order was cancelled again. When I asked the agent on the chat why they said 'logistical issues'. I suspect the agent responsible for deliveries in my area is refusing to deliver because I would not pay into his account. I now know why everyone always says Jumia is a scam

I had high hopes when I first started using Jumia for their online shopping services, but my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Jumia's service, particularly Jumia Food, has been utterly disappointing and frustrating.

Firstly, I made the mistake of paying in advance for an order on Jumia Food, and I deeply regret it. Not only did they deliver the wrong items on numerous occasions, but there were also instances when they failed to deliver anything at all. Despite their blunders, getting a refund from Jumia has become an impossible task. They seem to have no intention of honoring their refund policy, leaving me feeling cheated and taken advantage of.

Additionally, I subscribed to Jumia Prime for 12 months, expecting smooth and seamless deliveries without any extra charges. However, to my dismay, they canceled Prime service midway without any valid reason, and to add insult to injury, they didn't even bother to refund the remaining amount. It feels like they simply took my money and left me hanging with unfulfilled promises.

The Jumia app itself is a frustrating mess. Their customer service is non-existent, making it nearly impossible to resolve any issues or get the assistance you desperately need. It's disheartening to witness such blatant disregard for their customers' satisfaction and concerns.

I strongly advise against dealing with Jumia and their unreliable services. There are far better alternatives out there, like Konga and Jiji, which offer excellent customer service, competitive prices, and reliable deliveries. Don't fall for Jumia's deceptive marketing; they will only disappoint and deceive you. Save yourself the headache and choose another platform for your online shopping needs.

In conclusion, my experience with Jumia has been nothing short of a disaster. I regret ever trusting them with my hard-earned money and won't be making that mistake again. Jumia needs a significant overhaul if they ever want to regain the trust of their customers. Until then, I strongly caution everyone to steer clear of Jumia and explore better alternatives for a hassle-free shopping experience.

I ordered for 4 HP cartridges. They turned out to be fake. No ink. They sent me already used and empty cartridges. Unbelievable experience from Jumia.

Never buy perfume on Jumia, I bought a pair of Brut deodorants on their app, what was sent was absolutely FAKE pair of deodorants I've ever seen, despite titled as original.
When I tried to write a review on the item, it just wouldn't display.
The "request return" button kept failing and displaying "we're experiencing technical difficulty"

Well jumia is a good their services are too notch but the delivery fee is so high, I hope they look into it.

Jumia online shop is very reliable if you need quality dresses, phones, electronics and many other products. They deliver promptly too. Only issue I have with them is that their delivery fee is quite high. Aside from that, you will have a great shopping experience with them.

Have been shopping from jumia for a very long time and I must say that it has been a very good experience so far well I must compliment them on refundment of money if you not satisfy with your item
The negative side about them is that must seller deliver a total different item compared to the one being advertise on their store

The foundation of any business transaction, online or in person, is trust. This review captures how Jumia lost its trust in our eyes.
My father, who is an avid coffee drinker, recently purchased a brand new coffee maker (RUSSELL HOBBS BUCKINGHAM 1.25 L FILTER COFFEE MACHINE) to replace his old one on Jumia's online platform.
His order arrived but to his utter disappointment, the delivered contraption was a mere shadow of what was advertised on the Jumia website. Several external segments of the coffee machine had glaring rust damage (see pictures attached).
The root cause for the rust is non of my business. What's clear however is that no customer should be culpable for a company like Jumia's negligence. This fact is apparently not clear to Jumia's customer service. The few interactions my father has had with them always ended with the fact that this product is now outside Jumia's return window therefore, absolving themselves of all responsibility or wrongdoing. Jumia, riddle me this: Is it your policy to ship defective products to your customers? Is it also your policy run false marketing campaigns on your e-commerce platform? The listing for this coffee machine certainly didn't display pictures of this rusted piece of crap you shipped to my dad.
I have personally never patronized Jumia's services. Based on this experience so far, that day will never come.
In conclusion, Jumia first caught my eye when it was being touted as the Amazon of Africa. Clearly, Jumia is a far cry from this lofty ideal. If your customers cannot trust you, how do you expect potential investors to rely on your ability to deliver value? It's no surprise your stock (JMIA) has performed poorly in the last 1 year.
In summary, Jumia cannot be trusted and do not deserve your business.

You can ONLY CALL TO ORDER not CALL when something is wrong with your ORDER. So many things is wrong, from them cancelling to not cancelling on time, to returning your refund to their wallet(jumia pay account), to their vendors not having an item yet advertising it, to them bringing dented items without checking. I AM TRAUMATIZED BY JUMIA. I wish I rate them ZERO

I bought Valem Phantom Z+ 4GB 64GB Android 10.0 from Jumia. The device was tested a week later because I was not around when it was delivered, but fail to work. The device has no life in it, Power On not working, even when you plug it, no sign of charging. Infact it look like an empty device, defective from factory. Jumia refuse to take it back, even to investigate and show concern, they did not. I just threw away 65,000 naira without apology. Moreover, all the bad review I wrote about the device, Jumia fail to post it. They screened it out, meaning most of the review on product found on their site are not real, they only post positive review. This is an intentional act to defraud Nigerians.

Jumia delivery guys are playing with me, it's like I'll request for my money, almost a week now they've received my product and refused to deliver, thank God I peacefully went to slot to buy my phone after I advised myself not to buy from jumia.

I placed an order on Jumia and accidentally selected the wrong delivery address. I sent them an email to let them know I'd like to change the address but it was not changed.

The delivery agent called me and I told him that the address was wrong but he delivered it there(my former office) to a former colleague without my consent.

When I emailed Jumia to complain, they took the dispatchers word over mine and closed the ticket.

I wrote them again but was ignored.

Since then, I have been shopping on other online sites. I was terribly disappointed

Ordered an item, got series of email and text stating that the delivery agent will call me. Waited a whole day and did not get any call. Called the delivery agent number and it was switched off.
Later got a mail from jumia stating "failed delivery order" with no further explanation. They posted a supervisors number that I can call but it was also switched. This is the worst treatment that one can receive from an eCommerce business. No to jumia!

Jumia is the largest e commerce store in Nigeria. Ever since I started using Jumia, I haven't regretted as my orders are delivered to me according to the specifications.
