The other reviews here nail it. Stream breaks up at crucial moments of a game. Endless ads that are not synchronized with live action, error messages for no reason. Just way overpriced garbage.
Keeps crashing and giving error messages and just hanging, stuttering and all the things we all hate about streaming, they are all collected here at Hulu in a nice little package to annoy you. All of that while Netflix works perfectly fine and my internet speed is 20x required speed for streaming.
Another horrible thing about it is if you have a subscription that is not their full subscription (like the ones that come with other services) the ads are just horrible. For example, I watch an episode of some show and then I want to go and see something again in that same episode - the ads HAVE TO BE WATCHED AGAIN to just see something you missed.
I paid for the full streaming service. What I actually paid for was the right for Hulu to force me to watch ads, tons of commercials. In addition, the shows offered weren't great. If you love being forced to watch commercials you will LOVE Hulu. Awful!
Hulu seems to especially struggle with Sunday PM streaming on NBC; also lots of trouble with the mobile iPhone app.
I'm very mad because I want to watch the Cowboys game but I can't because hulu says it's unavailable even though it is the game of the week and it's letting me watch the Broncos game but we don't care about the Broncos game. I Will be picking Netflix over hulu from now on.
Consistently crashes. Often refuses to load the movie or show that I select. Repeated error messages. And it's not my connection because Netflix, Vudu, and Prime work just fine. Fix ya $hit, Hulu, or I walk. I'm sick of it.

At least 6 days a month since I got this service a year ago, live tv locks up, fails, buffers constantly. Went up to 48.99. Customer service non-existent. All other services through Firestick work fine. Will be cancelling soon.No, it is NOT better than nothing. Pluto is free on Firestick and I will get a broadcast antenna and be done.
I get Hulu during the fall/spring season of new shows each year-have done this about 3 years now. Then I disconnect it til next fall. I have subscribed to the level WITHOUT ADS. There is a specific box to check to do this--I believe it is a few cents more but is well worth it. I have never been pushed to sign up for the yearly price. I do agree that their setup could be a lot more user friendly. I also use Netflix, Britbox, CBS & sometimes Acorn. Note: I watch all these programs on a no frills laptop without any problems.
Hulu isn't horrible but I wish there were more options similar to Netflix where when paid for like Netflix there's no commercials, so to me Hulu is not as good as Netflix but only because of the commercials because it's a paid service like Netflix but cost a little more and literally takes extra time from you also!
I joined hula last year and im suppose to get shows from NBC, ABC FOX AND FREEFORM AND A NUMBER OF OTHER CHANNELS.
But they are not letting the 11.99 customers see new tv series coming out this year and cant watch blacklist either. They are trying to force people to get their tv service for 44.99 and i had it for a few months and i only use about 7 of the channels. So forget you hula for i thought disney wasnt going to be as greedy as others but i was wrong. And i dont care about the new programs and you have a lousy 44.99 service with alot of crap so no thanks
When it comes to episodes you're on you have to remember what episode and place you're on. Its going to auto play the next episode whether or not you finished the last and half the time it's going to restart the episode or play at the very ending. Its so frustrating and it's been like this for YEARS so clearly they dont care.
I paid TWICE, in two different ways to have commerical free service. Yet, there still are MANY commercials interrupting my service. When asked, they only state "there are only "limited " commercials. WRONG. There needs to be ZERO if I am paying for ZERO!
Service constantly cuts off. Other services don't. Shows and sports go dark and pop back on minutes later. My internet test well and all other streaming services work fine. My guess is Hulu is over selling capacity. Will be cancelling as I'm not getting what is promised..
First of all every show it cuts off the last few minutes always the last word that sometimes can be very interesting and closure.
Secondly, they discourage watching without WiFi by every few minutes it needs to be reloaded and you ultimately miss 1/4 of the show from all the reloads. But on the craftmatic beds or some paid programming magically it never cuts off.
Third I cancelled cable because the bill was always changing magically and suddenly it was $1 here and $1 dollar there and low and behold the same thing started happening with Hulu so yeah I canceled

Answer: Happened to me. Stay away from hulu. My systems is high speed and works great with YouTube 4k and Netflix 4K HDR. Hulu obviously is bandwidth limited which might work for customers who watch old movies but their technology is not good for 1080P and modern technology.
