This is the worst streaming available. If shows were amazing maybe I'd try to figure out why. It is so bad I can't believe anyone pays for it. Buffers all the time. And that's when it's working. Usually it isn't.
I have been having issues with Hulu for so long... Their auto play between episodes always eventually has issues. The app never seems to update what episodes I'm on while I'm using the app (coming back to the app is fine but when I change screens to change episodes it shows older episodes as my current episode so I have to search through the season episode list to find the ep I'm currently on).
Every night it takes 20 minutes to get Hulu to play, NETWORK ERROR or WE ARE HAVING TROUBLE ACCESSING THAT NOW or I have to log in 3 to 4 times. Their business is streaming, they should provide streaming. It is pathetic, I would give (-) stars if I could.
Two hours of my life gone. Three customer service reps--Paula, Muriel and Liezel. Cut off twice. No one could figure out why I could not activate my account on my LG TV. Then I remembered! I have an LG TV that had sent me a note telling me they no longer support Hulu. Customer Service is clueless. Endless resets. The ultimate injustice, three different credit cards denied my enrollment. I had to call my credit card company to get them to approve $5.99. They told me Hulu is flagged as highly fraudulent. Can you believe this?
Save yourself a lot of time. If the user set up doesn't work right out of the gate, give up.

Hulu has zero problems taking money out of my checking account. In exchange for my money, i have to call customer service to find out why 'my stuff' shows programs unwatched when, in fact, they have been watched. Last week, i was told 'they are working on it' and my stuff will be cured in '3 to 6 hrs'. I knew that was bull$#*! and said so. I was correct (big shock there) and here i am again.
Another week, same problem.
I call and im told Hulu is suffering from 'high call volume' and i can be called back. Before i can choose that option, some guy (*$#*!) gets online. So much for 'high call volume', eh? Twelve minutes later, i have rattled off the last 4 digits of every credit card i have and none match what is on file. Because i have paid my bill and the 4 digits are not matching, i can't be 'verified.' that, imo, is a bigger issue than what is watched vs. unwatched and when i ask to speak to somebody about THAT issue first, I'm told I'm 'hostile' and he refuses to transfer me.
My money is MY priority and i can readily understand why it is not $#*!'s. In exchange, i could care less about $#*!'s finances.
So what would you like to do? I have options. File a BBB complaint, stop payment; switch to Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Vudu, Crackle.

I feel like the problem with this streaming platform is the people who created it have never used it. It's like they use Netflix at home, which is amazing and easy to use, and then go to work and say: Okay, let's do the exact opposite.
Like I get they are your competitor, but the Hulu interface is SO BAD. Nothing is intuitive, nothing is easy to figure out, there is no memory of what I've watched, I once even had to buy a second subscription because it simply forgot that I existed. I hate Hulu. Obviously I cancel right after I watch whatever it is I wanted to watch. Netflix? Will never, ever cancel.
I used to like Hulu because I could watch all the movies and TV shows that netflix didn't have. Now I can't watch half of anything without upgrading to live tv. I'm not spending $55 a month to watch movies when everyone else charges around $10. At this point I'm better off buying an Amazon firestick and downloading whatever I want to watch.
I was laid off due to Coronavirus because the Governor shut down the state and I don't work for the Hospital, bank or the only place allowed to work.
I called Hulu and explained what was going on and the customer service person said will give you 4 days in which my bill is not due until april 2nd.
This company do not care about hardship or anything accept money, I have been a customer for 4 years and never late on a payment. This is the most heartless company I've ever seen

Biggest piece of $#*! in its category. The user interface is literally the lowest IQ interface I've seen in my entire life. I mean, did a 5 YEAR OLD CHILD could come up with something better. Low tier company.
Hulu what are you thinking? It must be make believe like cnn news, did you actually air a Hulu original show about hillary clinton? This guy oops, i think maybe lady, is the BIGGEST LIAR, since spectrum news. She is a fake, she cares about herself ONLY, she is a thief and you are making more money for her. You have to have your head examined or maybe you are part of the problem, not the solution in our Great Nation, that President Trump is Making Great Again after the nobama years. I am going to cancel my subscription and I urge everyone who reads this to do the same, if you are as unlucky as me to have had hulu.
Good for watching shows you want to watch but the ad free subscription is false, and you only save five dollars if you switch subscription with ads.
Even if you pay for the commercial free option you still have to watch them. Lots and lots of them. Hulu also freezes quite a bit. I do not think it's worth the money.
I had Hulu Live and just couldn't stand the amount of commercials for $54.99/month. If you DVR your programs YOU CANNOT FAST FORWARD through the commercials! OK....so I purchased additional DVR with Fast forward capability for an additional $5.99/ month and guess what....THERE ARE STILL COMMERCIALS!!!!! Come in on Hulu really!!! I said F it and went with FuboTV for $54.99/ month where I can fast forward through commercials FREE, more entertainment channels (especially Viacom channels), no buffering and their VOD is not inundated with COMMERCIALS!!! Go to Fubo TV . Hulu/Disney needs to stay as a sort of Netflix. They need training in Live Streaming!

I am person who is hard of hearing and requires subtitles. I am 27 and female. I turn up the sound really loud to hear what I can; I still leave on the subtitles so I can read along. I own my own home so this is possible for me. The subtitles could use improvement. With editing or possibly improved text choice the actual message of the shows could be properly conveyed. The subtitles at this point are beyond disappointing. They have no conveyance of what the shows I watch actually are saying; sparse and confusing are a generosity of definition. If I was deaf fully I would be completely lost to the true plot point, story point, THE point of the show. Examples of shows I watch where subtitles could be improved are; Bob's Burgers, The Bachelorette/Bachelor, The Masked Singer, Brooklyn 99, Stumptown ect. I am an avid customer and consumer so please advise and evolve to make your product more accessible for everyone.

For the past week streaming live stops. Can not get in touch with support. When it works it is great. Getting tired of the pauses.
Hulu's slogan of, "We' about to ruin TV for you" couldn't be more true. The endless commercials that you cannot fast forward through are beyond frustrating. Even if you have already watched something and you fast forward to the part you need to be, Hulu takes you back to the last block of commercials THAT YOU HAVE ALREADY SEEN. By doing this it messes up exactly where you need to be. In addition to breaking for commercials sometimes every two to to three minutes, Hulu shows you the same commercials over and over again during the same program. For instance, I once saw a Febreeze commercial in a nonstop loop during one program. I also think it is highly ridiculous that only two people can be "using" the Hulu service in the household unless you pay extra. Hulu is a rip off.
I'm paying for NO commercials and most channels have them! In fact, more commercials than regular cable! They claim they have no control over advertisers, yet, you can pay $11.00 more for enhanced DVR. It's all a scam to get more money from you! So, in order to get commercial free HULU, you will pay $17.00 more on your bill. What a scam!

Answer: Happened to me. Stay away from hulu. My systems is high speed and works great with YouTube 4k and Netflix 4K HDR. Hulu obviously is bandwidth limited which might work for customers who watch old movies but their technology is not good for 1080P and modern technology.
