The only this that is easy about this company is getting the chip implanted at your vet's office. Their website is a nightmare and the information that was given at the time of purchase does not work when trying to login on the site. I do not recommend.
Stay away from this business it stinks, we have been trying to get one of our two dog registers with the proper microchip and all proper ID, we have called with no results (no Answer) have emailed with no results for a company that is supposed to be there to help you and your pet there is none they want your money but that's all. We had one pet registered with them but from that point on no help in trying to get our second dog registered if you call your on hold to the point that a message tells you leave info and they will return your call
My dog died about 10 months ago. Never thought of of this site until I received notification of my auto renewal. Their contact number is a recorded sales message. NO Customer Service rep! I now have another dog and I would NOT recommend this service to an enemey!
Have a new dog and she was microchipped at the vet. The microchip number gives me an error message. No one answers calls or returns emails at HomeAgain. Zero customer service. Horrible company.
I got my new pet microchipped and the vet gave me this brochure with the tag. I went to the website and they wanted $20+ to register... WHAT? I don't think so...
Did a little research and found the chip can be register for FREE on 24PetWatch, where I have my other pet registered. This not only doesn't make me happy that my vet sent the brochure (Do they get a kickback?) but it's a such a waste of money. Do your homework before registering with this company.
First do not do an autopay with this company. Wait for your bill and then either call to pay or send a check via USPS. I called to set up autopay to start n December and after they confirmed it can be done, they charged me over a month early.
Their customer service takes a long time to come on the phone, and when they do, they have no authorization to help. This type of underhanded business practice is nothing short of thievery. If I could give them zero rating, I would have.
Our precious Jenny died in June 2021. I updated the website at that time, indicating she was no longer with us. The pain of losing her was brought back when I received notification that her membership with HomeAgain had been renewed in January 2022. I was able to speak with a representative who acknowledged Jenny's record did show her as deceased. Why then was her membership renewed? When you get your pet microchipped be sure to find out the name of the company overseeing the protection & check reviews. If HomeAgain has trouble with a simple matter like maintaining internal records, I am doubtful they would be of much help should a pet be lost.
I hadn't realized until today that it is, in fact, a scam. My cat died in August and today I got an email from HomeAgain asking me to renew my plan with them. I called their help number and discovered all I was able to get were recorded messages selling other kinds of products and there was no way to actually speak to someone. That will teach, e. Thousands of dollars spent for absolutely nothing, I was duped and I'm embarrassed because my entire work career was spent as a fraud investigator for the federal government.
Last year I had my cat chipped. I received 5 or 6 emails asking me to renew my subscription. I called to see if the chip would still be able to be scanned if I did not renew and the customer rep I talked to was so rude. She put me on hold while I was asking and then she came back and said I don't get what you're saying in the rudest way. I hung up. I don't deal with people like that. I worked in a call center for 3 years and If I talked to anyone like that I'd be fired.
New this year, paying online (or buy cc using their mailed invoice) forces you to check the auto renew box (bill your form of payment automatically every year) which is outrages. Customers should not be forced to sign up for auto renewal. That's a scam. Also, there is no way to remove your cc/payment information online once it's been saved to your account. You have to call customer service and they put in a request (and hope it's removed) And there is no way to cancel auto renewal once you agree. If you decide to pay byt check, customer service says it takes 4 to 6 weeks to process your payment & renewal. Outrageous! I am greatly disappointed with this irresponsible, unethical change to Homeagain!
Its been months since my cat got lost, I thought that with their service I could possibly track him cause you know its a tracker, but they just have a chip and if people find him then he has his chip
Their 24/7 service for finding pets is such $#*!, and its expensive
Customer service is awful. I was asking a few questions about transfer, and a supervisor cannot answer any questions and just kept saying " I am not in the team" and when I asked if I can talk to a supervisor in the transfer team, she hang me up.
My dog passed away on June 28th of this year. In July I get an email that they renewed her annual membership fee. I called the number and had to leave a message to let them know she is deceased with all my information. Two weeks pass, no response or refund. I call again and have to leave my information again as there is no one to talk to. Today I left them a message on their Instagram page and still nothing. I would never trust them to find my lost pet and don't know how you would get through to anyone to find out if the chip was scanned. What horrible customer service with no way to get ahold of anyone. I will now be reaching out to my credit card to dispute the charge.
I received an email from HomeAgain that it was time for renewal. I followed the link that was sent to me, but there was a glitch on their site, and the renewal couldn't be submitted. I called the company to find out, that I was being billed 2 months before it was actually due. I got another email on actual due date, followed the link again and experienced same tech issues. Called customer service multiple times, on hold forever each time; left messages, yet to hear back from them. Need to find another pet registry asap!
We lost our cat due to the negligence of our tenant letting the cat out. Our cat had a microchip from HomeAgain, that the no kill shelter we adopted him from had installed. When he was let out, we were frantic as we love this little guy like the family member he is. Talking to HomeAgain was like talking to a wall. A dispassionate uncaring, wall. I tried to explain that the cat had stomach issues and could never survive the two weeks in the wild that they said the "transfer" would take. Yeah, that's nice, two weeks, tough buddy. I assume the transfer was a transfer of ownership for the cat from the people who owned him 4 years ago. Miserable, dour, uncaring representative who should never work in customer service again. No effort to go above and beyond what-so-ever. We may never see the little boy pictured below again due to their "customer support'. They absolutely couldn't care less.
What a miserable experience. They got my account mixed up with another person, were sending me emails about that person's pet. When I finally figured it out and contacted them about it, they blamed me and/or the vet's office where I got the microchip, neither of which was even remotely possible. Their website is not user-friendly, wouldn't even let me put in the correct information. My password wouldn't work and the site wouldn't let me change it, rejected ever one I tried, with no explanation. When I called for technical support for the password, they had to wait two days and call me back. I wish I had never microchipped my pet, because I know they won't be able to find my cat for me anyway. If they can't get my information right or change a password, how will they ever find my pet? A waste of time and money. :(
Sent away for a dog tag. On 11/29/20 I paid by credit card, the amount was immediately taken out of my account, I still have not received the dog tag as of 1/04/21. I called on 12/29/20, and they stated I would received an email from the Service dept. NEVER received an email. An another phone call and after a long wait, Don in customer service rep said I would receive my money back on my credit card and would receive a confirmation by email in a few days. If I do not receive the credit I am due, I will contact my bank and possibly report fraudulent activity on my Credit card account!
I do rescue, i have dogs on there. You pay a fee, they dont register it when you have paid for a renewal, so it expires. You call and call, leave messages, no call back no fix of the problem. What happens if your animal is missing? You call and hold and no one gets back to you? This is the worst run company i have ever had to deal with. If i had known i would have gone with someone else. DONT USE THIS COMPANY
I've been with home again for over year. I have never been able to get anyone on the phone and have yet been able to add my second cat. There is no email for them and the phone is never answered. I have a cat that i no longer own that i need to remove but can't and one that i have to add but cant'. Incredible to say the least.
I got my kitty already microchipped from the shelter in 2022. I registered with the information given. When I went to renew, there was no pet registered to me, although all my information was there. I spent a tortuous time getting it corrected with customer service. Today, I went online to register a new pet from the shelter, and the first chip is STILL NOT REGISTERED despite paying for 2 years! So, if they are not registering the chips, how can they identify a lost pet? Total scam! Wish the shelter used another microchip company.
Answer: Scam. They have no service. The don't answer calls or have an interaction web site.
Answer: Not. You will never get customer service whether over the phone or on line
Answer: I didn't choose Homeagain. It was pushed by the Banfield veterinarian hospital.
HomeAgain has a rating of 1.3 stars from 121 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with HomeAgain most frequently mention customer service, credit card and auto renewal. HomeAgain ranks 11th among Lost Pet sites.
