Massively incompetent. I spent three weeks trying to make a small change with a booking. Spoke to at least 10 different staff members by phone and email and including the floor supervisors. Everyone blames everyone else or gives conflicting advice. Can't cancel an unrelated domestic flight that was made as part of a multi-stop international booking because "the outbound following flight will also be cancelled" with no attempt to identify who the party is that's cancelling this.
The airline was happy to cooperate if gotogate would contact them directly but gotogate didn't do this even after many times that they said that they would.
Do not order from them!
My wife ordered from them 2 tickets to London, flight was cancelled (by them) and we didn't get the refund for half a year now
It's super hard to reach them, we had to wait on the online chat for almost an hour, for 4 times already and their response is the same - "there is a long line to the refund".
Do your self a favor and do not order from there!
Strongly advise you never, ever buy flight tickets from this company. Their customer service is utterly atrocious, and they are clearly engaging in fraudulent practices. When I attempted to change my ticket, they quoted me a staggering $7000, even though purchasing a brand new ticket would have only cost me $1200. I contacted multiple agents to resolve the issue, but each gave me the same exorbitant price. When I asked for the issue to be escalated, they completely ignored my request. I cannot stress enough how important it is to avoid this company at all costs. Please don't fall into their trap and risk being taken advantage of like I was.
Firstly legally the price has to be shown before charging in a clear format. It isn't. They add on extra charges without asking. Secondly it is not legal to charge extra for paying by credit card. They do that too.
99% of reviews are 1 star and they don't care.
I exchanged about 7 emails with customer service, each time less helpful than the last. Ultimately I ended up just letting them "win" without receiving any refund or credit back because I was so exhausted by the whole process. I knew I shouldn't have purchased airline tickets through go-to-gate but now I will ensure I really never do again. Go straight through the airline - it's very likely that gotogate won't honor the purchase policies and you'll lose all money should something go wrong.
Booked flights to Bali last year, flight were cancelled over six months ago and Gotogate still has not returned my money. Have been chasing them up for over six months. Their contact number does not work, they ignore written requests, and do not actually respond to my emails - it's always a generic "Dear Sir/or Madam... delays... airlines... rest assured". It's been the same messaging for months and months, which gives me the impression that this organisation is a scam. I paid for the "premium" service - imagine what the normal level of service is like. Have now got my bank involved. Clearly Gotogate is writing favourable reviews to try and keep things in balance on these sites. Will continue persisting to chase up the refund.
I had a problem with flight, it was rechedule, so I wanted to return my money, and this damn company didn't want to make full refund. They speak only over chat. They provide phone number that don't work.
I had my return flights booked through Go to gate for my holiday December 2021. During my holiday, I had been informed that my return was cancelled. So I started to chase if I could get the alternative arranged or the refund made. Their response was so slow (usually would take 3-4 days or even had to send them multiple emails to get their response), nothing confirmed then I had to arrange my own separate booking of flights to return back to AUS.
After returning back, I chased for refund. Same slow, vague responses continued... They tell to contact in the number in web site. There is no easy way to find the contact number first. The number they have goes to Automatic response and tells you to go to website. I've not been ale to speak to anyone yet other than emails.
Here, it's July 2023, I'm still chasing a solution to this.

Despite checking several times one traveler's name was completely wrong. Didn't had the confirmation mail and tickets till next day only to realise the name is wrong. Airline said it's possible from the ticket provider but go to gate will not change anything! All money lost!. Awful service
Start off with purchasing tickets through regular online websites. And had way too many troubles with the processing. Hopped on google flights found a ticket from gotogate and first time trying this and literally everything went through smoothly first try too as well. And well worth it for the budget as well. Thank you.
This is the worst travel agency I have dealt with.
We had a flexible ticket booked with them, but when we tried to change the booking, they put a remarkably larger difference in price, way higher than the original ticket price on the airline website.
Every time I call them, I find they give a different, higher price by £100, even though the flight's original price doesn't change between two days!
They are a fraudulent company. Never deal with them.
Their customer service is the worst too. They don't help at all. When I ask about the price breakdown to understand where this difference is coming from, they refuse to answer properly.
This is absolutely the most terrible company I have ever dealt with! I organised a trip for 10 people to Amsterdam and unfortunately one of the party died unexpectedly. The airline offered a full refund - but I had to claim it through Gotogate - who never passed it on, so are either that inept they cannot process a basic refund or are criminals and stole my money. Stay as far away as possible!
This is a scam, I had to wait for more than 2 hours on the phone to learn that they cant refund my money even though the flights were cancelled by the airlines. Then one guy said he can process my refund with a $55 charge but I am still waiting for over $1000. Authorities should take action to delist these fraudulent companies
Purchased flights to Bali late last year - flights were cancelled and have been chasing up refund for over 5 months now. Keep sending me generic responses or ignoring my request, saying the airline has denied the refund request. Do not use.
This company does not respond to emails or phone calls and if you do eventually get a response they are extremely rude and unhelpful. They simply steal your money. Buyers beware book through the official site and do not deal with Gotogate. Would give negative star rating if I could
Please for peace of mind do not use this company. When things are going right, no one really cares. It's when things are going wrong that you need someone to listen to you. I booked 8 business class seats for long haul. The airline cancelled the flights, and I was not informed. I had paid extra for seat reservations and one flexi ticket. They have refused to refund these despite none of this being our fault. I wish I had checked their reviews before booking with them. Their Indian call centre passes you from pillar to post and eventually refuse.
I am giving one star just because they sell tickets in low price. I cancelled my flight before 24 hours and the spirit airlines refunded the money back to them. But they denied me to give me the refund and said that they would charge cancellation fee which is exactly the amount i paid for my tickets. These are bull$#*! scammers out here. I would rather pay more expensive prices for flights but never ever book with goto gate. I am a first time customer and I totally hate this.
Gotogate changed my flight without consent after I'd booked. I booked a day time trip of 1.5 hours and they changed it to a night trip in two parts with no time between the two flights to collect and transfer baggage. When I rang they did the not uncommon thing of putting me on hold and then leaving me until it cut off. When I emailed the reply came that they would try to respond within 18 days. In my opinion there is something worse than incompetent about this operation. Avoid at all costs.
