Worst service ever. Complete rip-off.

The tickets were advertised as $17/ea and by the time I was done were well over $100. I had to pay for a disabled seat in the back (though no wheelchair), you can't contact customer service, getting support for your tickets is impossible, non-refundable, don't do it!

No refund for 1.5 years

I had booked tickets for my son for travel in Sept 2022. We had to cancel the tickets and the company representative advised that the refund will happen in few days. Despite calling a number of times and sending the emails the status remains the same and the standard replies without any commitment. Worst experience dealing with the company. The amount is about USD 600. Will never book any tickets from this company in future. Could have given Zero rating had there been such option. The ref is LQD3VU.

I have consumed approximately 7 hours, with more than 15 different agents, on the phone over the past 2 weeks. I can go on, but because you have to call the UK, I spent more than $100 on phone calls. I have paid to book seats 3 times. Due to their "improper booking" we had to pay for an additional 2 hotel nights while they mismanaged a very simple reservation. I have lost 2 nights of sleep. So thank you GoToGate for all you failed to accomplish.

I have been using Booking.com for just about 20 years and Genius Level 3. GoToGate has destroyed an otherwise very good online travel agency; actually my favorite for a number of years. What an absolute shame that I can no longer use Booking.com. AVOID Booking.com at your peril. If you use them, you will be unbelievably disappointed, frustrated and embarrassed by your own behavior. I would be shocked to hear the recordings, so I do extend my apologies to those agents that were trying their best but were consumed by general incompetence, zero result-oriented efforts, speaking without listening and complete lack of authority to resolve even the simplest travel change. It is hard to comprehend how far they will test your patience until you have experienced it yourself. BE WARNED from a seasoned traveler, use any other travel agency in the world, but DO NOT USE Booking.com. At least until they sever their relationship with GoToGate.

Avoid at all costs.

Gotogate failed to confirm my flight despite booking three weeks in advance and I received an email the night before that the flight was not confirmed. I then booked a flight directly with the same airline. Gotogate refuses to refund the original ticket price for having performed no service at all.

I have applied refund from SAS airline through gotogate, which received the refund in Jan 2021, and up to now, my refund still has not been paid by go to gate, no actual person dealing on phone, this is more than just frustrating.

I can not understand why a refund takes more than 4 months, and still counting...

Disappointed

Doesn't allow the option to choose "not to be seated together" which forced me to pay $102 to be seated together. Also, the overall price changed by $300 more while transacting in the final pay button. Price couldn't be temporarily "locked in" while completing the ticket purchase. Felt like it was a bait and switch happening right before your very eyes.

Worst company

I am so disappointed on this company. I don't know what to do to sue them…?They have cancelled my flight 2 times. I am still waiting for a refund. It's been more than five months and I have asked a few times to change the flight and they can never help you for that, or for the refund.it's always the same reply please be patient …People please pay directly to the airline, GOTOGATE ARE Liars, it's cheaper, but it's full of ….! I promise i have lost more than 1500 euros… oh and they will charge you also money for their own cancellation! ****!pls what can I do?

That's sad to share my experience with GoToGate, they are smart to make people fool and this is what they are doing.
Keep calling them, they don't care... they are available to respond your call in nice way but no result neither support... just nice talking no solution to your issue.

It's something like sweet poison. If you wish to get stuck with them. You can use their service and forget about any support also any solution if you need from them... but yeah they will make you cry and helpless.

My flight was meant to be 89 euro (because it stated, if paid by visa debit)
I PAID IT THAT WAY, and they charged me full price 124.99 euro.

Their number is out of service.
Their chats are BOTS, and if you do get a human, it's just a repeat of conversation.
No email contact. There is this one: *******@support.uk.gotogate.com
(but same repeated responses to no solution or avail)

No refund link.

All in all, scam unfortunately.

Worst experience ever
October 22, 2020

Will never be using GOTOGATE again. They ruined my holiday on top of that said they will get my refund and charge me £30 which I agreed to then after 5 months instead of deducting £30 they took £141.06 apparently its there company policy and when I rang up to complain they said they don't take complaints over the phone. Been cheated out of my family holiday and money. My advice please stay well clear of this company

Reserved a ticket for an adult through Gotogate and then wanted to add a child but the airlines didn't allow a separate child ticket. So I had to cancel my ticket and then reserve both tickets together. I contacted Gotogate immediately explaining my situation. They charged me a $45 cancellation fee (which ended up being $65) to cancel my ticket. And they expected me to reserve the tickets through them again? No way! I also noticed later, when reserving the tickets directly from the airline, that they were charging almost double in order to check in luggage. Very dishonest on their part. I will never do business with them again!

Beware! Regrets!

I made the huge mistake of buying through this site since it came up when i used Google flights to search for flights. Each time i called i waited over 1 hour 20 mins to even get through to "customer service". Then they want to charge me $$$ to change flight and are calling me to collect more money after spending 3+ hrs to change flight.

I started booking a flight and finished my checkout and the amount was 1458 sar then after entering the payment card info the system showed a prompt saying new value 2131 i choose not to proceed but the ticket is booked.
Firstly, it is not ethical to change value after check out
Secondly, even thought i choose not to book it was booked

Hi, I made a booking through Gotogate.I requested to cancel the flight From 19/12/2022 until today I have not received my refund and Gotogate is asking to me to wait without updating the status of my refund. I talked to Gotogate agents many times over the phone but none of them gave me a reasonable explanation of the status of my refund. They promised me priority escalation of my case but so far nothing has happened. Now it is more now 6 months waiting to get my refund. My experience with Gotogate is very frustrating. I would like to receive my refund ASAP Otherwise I will start going in all the social media platforms, radio or even take a lawyer. This not gonna work with me I promised you User's recommendation: Never

Horrible experience with GotoGate
August 2, 2022

After buying my flight tickets I requested (same day) a change in my name (my family name was not added into the original ticket). The charged me the fee and did nothing. After calling them for 1 month without any answer (they even said that I could missed my flight), the day of the flight, just two hours before departure, they sent a mail saying that they are not able to make the change and that I should solve it with the airline.
Bear in mind that if you need support, you are left alone with GotoGate
