It's been almost 2 YEARS since I asked Godaddy to design my website. We have gone through 3 different iterations of the website, and have gone through 8 "project lead" people. In April, I spoke to a Supervisor of Godaddy Support, nothing came out of that as we are still working on the website. I have been told that a supervisor was watching the website to make sure the changes have been done, which they have not been. I have had multiple meetings regarding the same thing… It is a huge waste of my time. My project lead keeps telling me that they have not looked at the website a few days before our meeting, that is very scary to me. The designers clearly have not been doing what I need them to do and they are not managing them. Had a meeting today and was told a manager will get back to me in the next 48 business hours...You guys are Godaddy, why can't you get this done? This is embarrassing…
I was with another company that charged a lot of monthly hosing fees. I really happy with the money I am saving and I had great service. The company has delivered everything they said they would from the sales person who sold me the website. Hosting fees are yearly and not monthly, but they are very affordable and actually saves time.
I bought a domain name in 2020 from Go Daddy and cancelled it in 2021. To my surprise, I saw my PayPal account's notification said that I send a payment to Go Daddy. I called it and told the agent that I had cancelled the plan two years ago why was I getting charged now? I also told him he could go to my domain to see for himself if it was disabled. He admitted to the truth that my domain was disabled. He said to refund you, you have to tell me your pin and your account number otherwise he can not refund me the wrong charge. I have not been on their website for over two years, I don't remember the pin and the account number. So he would not refund my money to my PayPal account which is where he changed the money from. What a big SCAM! Beware It.
Our company has used GoDaddy for email services. I received an email last week stating the email account was going to be disabled. I called. The rep said that wasn't correct, email services would be around until early next year. We discussed a migration plan but agreed to talk again this week. Over the weekend, GoDaddy disabled my email. I've spent ALL DAY on the phone with GoDaddy, still no email.
Last year they automatically canceled my domain and could only fix it after hours of phone calls and tons of emails. They promise that this will not happen again. One year later the same thing repeats itself and I lose access to my business email account and they make me pay 60 USD to reactivate it, after wasting so much time and having so much inconvenience, I think this is simply not acceptable.
I'm sorry but I cannot support a company that changes your website name you requested and then charge you a premium to get what you asked for. Who wants Walkerrealestate.godaddysites.com after you asked for walkerrealestate.com and didn't tell you that's why it was changed too! Complete disappointment would not recommend
I used GoDaddy email for years. They switched to Microsoft product for email. I had then a couple of emails with them and spent a long time online with them to figure out how to get the emails. In fact, I would log out of one and into the other and still see the emails for the first account. Could NOT get this to change. Talked to a manager and he had the same difficulty. Finally told me to go through another browser all together. EXTREMELY TIME CONSUMING.
Now on these email accounts I can't get emails to go into folders which is the simplest of all tasks. It's unbelievable frankly.
I am giving them 2 stars because they DO pick up the phone and they are nice, although they cannot resolve the Microsoft issues.
In addition, during the pandemic an old GoDaddy email account was DELETED and I needed it desperately. No recourse, and I was given very little notice. In addition, I had to figure out the solution myself. I would prefer to give them one star. Maybe I will.
I don't think I am a big fond of GD. Nor I would recommend them to anyone I know. But our Company, so happened, has few services with them and I have to deal with GD on a regular basis. Much to my surprise, there is nothing out of ordinary troubles dealing with GD vs another domain/hosting. And their offerings on Hosted Exchange are quite on point with the pricing provided: not the best, but reasonable - to the point that if you are, like us, "stuck with them", the effort of switching won't pay off greatly; maybe just a "moral satisfaction of leaving GD behind"... but having to deal with their CS, I'm thinking that maybe it all be of the past memories now, of how $#*!ty GD was back then... idk.
Anyway, a steady 4-star in my book, especially if you are already with them...
I'm a business owner and use GoDaddy merchant services. So theyjust randomly freezes your money for reviews. I'm on day four trying to get my money. The customer service is apparently out of India or should I say the lack of customer support? Stay away from the merchant services.
GoDaddy are actually good and I enjoy their service at one of my website.
All customer service is always active and ready to assist 24/7. So I don't see any reason why people are rating them below their limits. I Love their service because it's good!
I had auto renewal for a website I haven't used in a couple years and tried calling to cancel after the fact of being renewed to get refunded for the future usage (2 year auto renewal) since I no longer use it and won't be for the next two years and they weren't willing to work with me. So now I'm paying $800 for the next two years for literally nothing. Terrible customer service and not doing the right thing for the customer. Cleary not trying to have a good reputation...scamming people's $$$
Hands down, THE rudest people who answer the phones, and has been for the 10 years Ive had a domain with them. The guys all have big D energy, not willing to anwer questions or assist. I hate GoDaddy with a passion.
F***ing terrible. Godaddy's services are:
- Overpriced 100x
- Waste hours of your time texting/on the phone with representatives (most of which are from India or wherever)
- Set to autorenew
- Complicated interface
I have several web sites bought and managed through godaddy, Like most folks I need help once in a while and the customer support just... they have been great with me!
They do not talk down, I already know I have messed up and can not for the life of me fine the solution on my own.
I just thought others should know I have had a good experience with godaddy!
My account was hacked. After several weeks of calls, emails, and online chats, all any worker I spoke with at GoDaddy could tell me was to fill out a form. Well, I did. Over and over. Then a few days would go by with no response. I would contact them again—same cycle. My account is still currently under control of hackers. It is insane. I asked them to close the account and delete the information. I proved who I was. Their response, you have to login to your account do delete it. I CAN'T LOGIN. I am still dumbfounded.
Another, and one of the best out there (if you lack the initial skills) site hosting places. I agree there are lots of sites that somehow can scam, but is the platform guilty of that? I think not. Imperfect but still worth using.
I was with another web host for three years and the last few months were awful. I switched to GoDaddy and the experience has been great. Their tech support is 24/7, which my old host was not, and they have been able to address my questions and concerns.
My email through Godaddy just stopped working. I called tech support (they use to be great but they have offshore it to the Philippines, the support people read a script. Each time one calls tech support you will be put on hold for a minimum of 30 min even if the recording says it will be 3 min. After being put through the same routine over snd over again each time I was assured my email would be restored within 24 to 48hrs, this went on for almost 2 weeks, then 1 day my email started working now a week later same problem. Godaddy was great now they suck.
I enjoyed using Godaddy. They use excellent support, especially if you are active in the process.
I understand prices are a little high. Really do you homework. Make sure you understand the difference between web hosting and site hosting, etc.
I inherited a Go Daddy website for a volunteer organization. Go Daddy website maintenance was easy to learn. Their training tutorials are fabulous! Best part is that there are real people who answer the phone when you need help. Go Daddy is the whole package if you need a website, a place to host it, training materials, and customer support.
Our group upgraded our website system twice and added a payment portal. Easy to figure out and run. Would wholeheartedly recommend!
Answer: Do not use this company. Go daddy excessive fees, will keep adding fees claiming lack of security, and also has a policy that will ask for private information such as passport, license if you ever change your phone number even though they will talk to you on the phone.
Answer: We offer an easy to use E-Commerce website builder. Here is a link where you can sign up for a free trial: https://www.godaddy.com/websites/online-store
Answer: Did you have any luck with this. We have been ripped off by them for 4 years and have only just succeeded in closing the account. Thanks for posting.
