I wanted to get a "last minute" gift for an engagement that was in another state. This site offered many options with links to websites so I would be able to view their location and menu. I was able to print the gift certificate easily and include this in a "card" with personal message. It was a nice surprise that the recipient sent me a "thank you" from the same site. The whole process was surprisingly easy.
I received a GiftRocket Gift from an organization during a time of need. I had never heard of GiftRocket before receiving this gift. It was very easy to access (I can't believe I'm saying this because I'm not a technical person at all) I was so excited. I've been telling family, friends and even in the grocery when I converse with other people I tell them about GiftRocket. I usually would run in the grocery store and buy a gift card when I'm invited to a party or some occasion. Not any my. I'm going to be the most popular lady ever when I give a GiftRocket. GiftRocket is the best gift ever. My wishlist this Christmas will have one thing on it. Guess what that will be? A GiftRocket
I received this from a friend, I had never received anything from GiftRocket before! At first I thought it was just a gift card to the local outlet mall we have but when I opened it, you can choose to send it straight to your bank OR a list of very popular stores and restaurants! So handy and so quick.
This is a Fraud, I own a Garden Center, a customer recently came in with one of these, we have no idea how our name got on there. We weren't able to process her gift card. It's absolutely frustrating for everyone. We felt bad for that customer who got scammed.
Total scam. Sent a gift for graduation, bank account was drafted, but no confirmation email or gift sent to recipient.
Received notice "successfully completed notice and confirmation number though" - hoax. Stay away! I only wish I had read reviews before using this site. I sent an email to support but no response!

Unable to use and tired of trying. It doesn't give joy to the receiver... just frustration. Use reputable direct source companies, like Visa and such.
Gift rocket is fake and will take your piece and will crumble it look like a cookie and will have you waste your time
I purchased a card and the fee was pending on my credit card. When did not receive a link to access funds or print information, I emailed. The response I was told was "you never ordered it - it is in the shopping cart". I provided a screen shot of the fee and they still said it was not purchased and never responded again. When the pending fee posted to my account, I again emailed and did not hear back so I needed to go through my credit card to have the fee disputed and removed. Thank goodness for Discover and for the email tracking I had to dispute the charge. Very unprofessional - they could have simply looked up my card number to check billing and never did. Don't use this - would give a zero if I could
This is a complete and total scam! Went on website of a nice steakhouse (Hendricks Tavern on Long Island, who knew nothing about this process appearing on their website, which was also surprising) to purchase a $200.00 gift card. The website then sends us to Giftrocket to purchase the gift card. When trying to redeem it gave options of stores/restaurants to choose from and offered to mail the card to me. I chose a Nordstrom gift card since I just purchased the gift card at the restaurant. I was told my Nordstrom gift card would be arriving in a few days. That was more than 2 weeks ago. Calling MasterCard now to dispute the charge. When I emailed Giftrocket, I was given the opportunity to take a survey in a financial investment company; but nothing about my actual problem. Total scam. Buyer beware!
Note that this does not work like a regular gift card. You must supply your bank info and the funds are to be deposited into your account. (odd, but ok)
The funds never showed up for me. Upon digging, they were appeared to be deposited into the wrong account (not mine). They sent me a tracking number that my bank cannot trace. I cannot get a phone number or anyone via e-mail to tell me their name. That question is ignored and all e-mails are signed "GiftRocket Support". They're sending me around in circles. It's been weeks.
GiftRocket is sketchy AF and at this point, I don't think I will see the money.
My nephew bought us a gift card as he too thought GiftRocket would work at my favorite restaurant. Like many other comments below, that is a common misconception (the 'trickery' part). I was wary about giving my bank account info out, so opted for a gift certificate at a place they did provide. I was doubtful it would work, judging from other comments, but it actually worked just fine. I would not use this system again, as its just as easy to get a Lowes gift card from Lowes without the uncertainty.
Sent $212 for my daughter. My daughter never got an email to redeem the gift. They said that they sent it but they didn't. Checked all mail folders. They won't respond to voicemails & are LIARS! I reported them to the Better Business Bureau & my bank. DONT USE GIFT ROCKET!
Sent a gift card to my brother for his favorite restaurant. He received it and was told he had to provide his bank account info, which he refused to do. I expected he could redeem the card at the restaurant, which was not the case. Won't use again!
I had no problem getting the money put into my bank account. However, I thought I was receiving a gift certificate that could be used at the restaurant I wish to dine. I would not suggest anyone use this service. A lot of people do not like putting their bank information on line. It would be be better to give an bank gift card, i. E. Visa, even though there is a service charge.
This place is scam. I did a google search to buy a gift certificate for a local restaurant and this place popped up in the listing advertising a gift card for this specific restaurant. I then specifically purchased a gift card for this restaurant.
However when it was sent to the recipient, all she got was a list of about 20 national restaurants she could choose from or the option of just getting the money I spent sent to her directly with a "suggestion" that she go and spend it at the restaurant I thought I was buying the gift card for!
I will be challenging this purchase through my credit card company.
Avoid this SCAM at all costs. The website pretends to offer a Gift Card for the item that you are looking for. In my case it was a restaurant. They have no connection to ANY restaurants. They charge a service fee, and offer to send your money to the recipients Bank Account... or offer other Gift Cards that they are affiliated with.

Complete scam. The advertise gift cards to anything your searching for and even sends you to a screen where you can print out your store of choice withe a gift code redemption. When you go to redeem they really don't offer your previously selected store. They offer a direct deposit (yea right like I'm going to give them my bank and routing number). I did not see anything I really wanted so I selected apple itunes gift card. Shortly after I receive an email indicating it was on the way electronically. Then I get an email from gift rocket crooks indicating the transaction was stopped by there security team. Giftrocket.com is a complete sham. Avoid.
Tried to send a Biggby gift card as the actual site would not allow E-gift cards, It also stated could be used at the Biggby in Detroit, MI or other facilities... when my friend received the gift, it was not for Biggby and was giving options of other restaurants or the option to transfer to bank account! What a joke! Will never use this gift app again!
How incredibly stupid! I received a gift card that then only gave a few options to crappy stores and restaurants. Then the site proceeded to say I can send the $25 to my bank account and use the cash at Biggby coffee, WELL NO $#*!! Will never use this ridiculous site again and will tell others not to bother.
