My first order I placed it 3 or 4 weeks ago and it got cancelled but I felt as though there was minimal contact with me, i didn't notice it until it had been a week past when the glasses were supposed to arrive. I needed them pretty badly and I would have ordered again immediately to get them asap. I didn't see an email, no texts, I had to log in and check the order status, which was actually a little weird to find.
Using insurance you would think you would be getting a better deal. Unfortunately shopping for contacts, for a year supply the cost was $750 with insurance. Shopping and ordering at Costco same exact type of contacts price was $709 without even using insurance.
I did order a pair of glasses for a quick emergency back up with current prescription no fancy add on's just the new scrip, grey transitions lenses(free), no additional AR or lighter lenses options just the basic.
It's nice to be able to take advantage of my insurance benefits without having to deal with a salesperson who's trying to get me to purchase more than I need. I appreciate that this online store exists. They only thing that would make it better is if I could figure out how to use the same account for two people on the same insurance. Can't figure it out.
Good experience, overall. The first order had a bug with the website where my insurance was removed charging me more than what was displayed at checkout which is really bad and should be fixed. I called and had that order cancelled with no problems.
The virtual try-on feature is really helpful. I find it much easier than looking in a mirror at the store and trying to see if a frame looks flattering. The process was straightforward and dare I say... even kinda fun!
Very easy and the virtual part was really neat and helped me pick what I liked.
Update: I had to return my glasses, but they came back faster than I expected. The fit is perfect and I'm pleasantly pleased. I will definitely use the service again, and I've told my family and friends about it!
My first pair of glasses I maintained properly and within 3 months the lenses were wrecked a coating was peeling off. I did send them back and they replaced them for free. I am still waiting to see if it happens to the new pair. I am ordering this pair hoping these coatings don't peel off again.
I love being able to easily view different pricing with insurance and extras in order to get the best deal possible. The experience is so simple that my youngest son was able to complete his order without assistance.
Very easy process to order and reorder contacts and glasses.
There were several fields (including the rx exp date) with no labels, making it impossible to know what to put in them until errors popsed up.
The link on checkout to add a new credit card was also not functional. I had to go to my account and remove expired cards before I could check out.
This process was so easy and surprisingly accurate. I'll admit, i had my doubts about the accuracy of the virtual try-on feature, but I took screenshots to compare different glasses, and it was pretty spot on! I received my glasses, well packed in a cute box with a nice case and cleaning cloth. I was pleasently surprised how quickly they came in the mail. Even after shipping, they were in my hands faster than any other store had even been able to make them... and I didn't even have to leave my house to pick them up! I definitely appreciate the convenience and accuracy of my order. I'm telling every person I know that wears corrective lenses how great this experience has been.
I love the virtual try on... wish it was available for all glasses. Also, the 3-D frame viewer should definitely be available for all glasses, as the regular product information pictures are so blurry when attempting to zoom in
Buying through eyeconic makes it not worth even opting in for eye coverage insurance. It is more expensive than if I ordered through Walgreens and I can at least use coupon codes with other retailers.
I almost bought my contacts from somewhere else just because my VSP Vision insurance would not apply unless I added the item at checkout, removed my insurance, and reapply it again. Please tell your developers to fix this. Thank you.
I've purchased multiple prescription glasses from Eyeconic and the user interface is so easy. Multiple available options on frames and add ons. I like purchasing through Eyeconic better than at the store because of all of the available options.
Customer service is great as well. Called them for a question and was able to get connected within 2 minutes and got my questions answered right away.
Sad that my favorite frames were out of stock, though I guess they're getting dated. Small semi-frameless lenses seem to be getting more and more scarce. As for the PD tool, tried several times to get it to work on a couple different browsers, but it kept failing. Ultimately found a pair of glasses that would work (I think), we'll see how they come out!
Tried taking photo or prescription, didn't work. Tried uploading it and didn't not work again. Then Affirm kept declining my card that is what I ended up paying with. I was quite frustrated with it all. I began trying 4/4/25. Then today 4/6/25 finally said to contact my doctor and just paid with the same card that was declined. Go figure.
I've used eye conic for many years and I've been happy with all my glasses. All you have to do is use the filter to get what you want and boom there's multiple choices. What I really enjoy is the virtual try on even though you may have some trouble at first with it.
It'll be really helpful if the "order status" can be sorted by family members, which will make it super easy for me to search which kid's prescription is which. Also, if the order status has a "re-order" feature, that'll be super useful, too.
I placed an order for my daughters contacts a week or so ago. The order status kept showing as 'pending verification.' Then, there was an issue with the prescription. Today, I learned (by ph) that I selected the wrong contacts. Why did it take over a week to learn that fact?!
I was able to checkout instantly and not retry a dozen times with no clear error. I even tried checking dev console and the network tab but there was no helpful error logging. Changed product and it was fine, stock issue?
Answer: Fyi, if you have VSP insurance and enter your info on their website it freezes your benefits and you have to call VSP to have it unlocked. Now another pto day to go back and order glasses that it is unlocked.
