The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to perceived deceptive practices regarding refunds and subscription management. Many users express frustration over the lack of suitable matches and the prevalence of fake profiles, leading to a sense of wasted time and money. Customers frequently highlight inadequate customer service, with limited access to support and automated responses exacerbating their concerns. While a few users mention positive experiences, the overwhelming sentiment suggests a need for improved transparency, better quality control of profiles, and a more responsive customer service approach.

Not only is it hard to find matches but they charge you a renewal fee even if you stop using their site. You need to make sure to take of the auto renewal they AUTOMATICALLY set up for you or they will charge you double or triple your initial rate with NO notification. They will not refund no matter what.
Do not push any buttons when going to check out this site! I warned you, I was looking to check on prices, butterfinger, hit the wrong button and bam. Immediately money was taken from my account. E mailed to resolve, I mean U just did that minutes ago and they said, You are locked I'm no matter what. Even if you never logged into your profile. What if you meet someone and don't need the site? What if you have a sudden financial crisis? You are locked in like a prisoner to no avail. It's more like too bad we got your money, thank you. Do not waste your time or $$$ at E not Harmony.
Don't get fooled by eHarmony! It's a sales gimmick to lure you into paying up to almost $400 if you join for a year and over $250 for six months. They offer very little dating advise and the quality of people on the site is poor, especially for seniors. I tried Match.com and really liked it, they offered better dating advise and even gave a phone number to call to speak to a live person for advise.
EHarmony is a sales gimmick & all they want is your money. It's a rip off.
Literally signed up for premium service and paid my money. Realized I could not communicate with anyone and no one could see my profile. Contacted customer service and received an automated response acknowledging my inquiry and that they would respond shortly but definitely not longer than 24 hours. After 2 full days, I decided to make another profile. Sent a cancellation notice for the first one (no response of course) and signed up again with a second profile. Everything worked. Connected with a few people. A week later I hear from customer service with regard to the first profile and problems. They indicated that it was their fault and my profile was restricted by mistake. Said they would add an extra week to the subscription as their way of making good. I said "NO" I have already sent a cancellation notice and made another profile. Days later...DAYS later (not within the 24 hours max they advise for a response, they advised me that two profiles are against the rules, and immediately restricted and deleted the second profile AND sent messages to those people I had been in contact with; "The profile associated with this account has been removed. WE RECOMMEND NOT RECEIVING MESSAGES OR COMMUNICATE" Literally had 2 dates all of a sudden ghost me. Maddening. Here you have a dating site creating its own issue and then negating its reason to actually exist by hurting its paying customer.
I wouldn't touch this service with a ten foot pole! They keep billing you and won't refund in full! I was charged one year later and literally contacted them the minute I got notified that I was charged. You can call them just email and won't offer full refund. No customer service - any reputable company would work with a customer and refund then in full if they called the MINUTE they were charged for an auto renewal that I must have inadvertently agreed to a year ago. HORRIBLE SERVICE there are a ton of other dating sites out there. Use them instead!
If a woman wants to communicate with text. They are marked with a Scarlet letter and they are done and you cannot find them. These were not Scammers. Maybe two but not SIX. I am locked into a contract for over four hundred dollars for four months! I hope they see this
I am so damn tired of seeing commercials about the gay couples. I should not have to change channels bc of this sick commercial.
I will sign up with a trial that sounds good, and then you will cancel before that trial ends thinking you're OK and then six months or a year later you get charged the full amount. Even though you cancelled your account. Don't use this company.
My parents met on eharmony… now they are divorced. Hopefully u r willing to pay for my weekly therapy sessions. My Venmo is tiffany gunn
First and foremost, e harmony renewed my subscription to an account I hadn't accessed in a year in the amount of 500 plus dollars! They did this WITHOUT my permission and when I contacted customer care their only response was that it's their policy to renew in order to provide continuous service! What a rip-off! I was not happy with the service a the low rate I paid to join, now I am completely disgusted! I am among those who believe some of their "matches' aren't even real people. I had no luck at all with them.
They bully you into a contract and refuse to let you out of it. They subscription options are set and highly limited. Even when you finally get your profile deleted. They will still continue to charge you for it. Refusal to help or even accommodate at all. Stating you signed up, and even though you had no other length options. Will not terminate charges.
Do not use eharmony! They won't cancel and refund, then renew without authorization for a full year. The original subscription was for 3 months, canceled, then they automatically renewed for a full year.
Unable to stop service, stuck "in contract." Zero matches anywhere near me., increased the search zone and still no matches. Few messages, few responses, and zero ongoing conversations. My budgeted income is being sapped by a worthless service. Do not bother with this deceitful scam.
This is the most expensive and useless site I have ever used. As a paying member, the matches were awful! It was the worst decision I have made. I cancelled my membership and they are continuing to charge me stating that I am locked into a year membership. They are dishonest and not honoring my request to cancel. If I am unhappy I should not have to pay for a year. Right now I am battling and exchanging emails with Customer Service who refuses to refund my money. I cancelled after a month of signing up with them and they are refusing to refund me my money and are insisting I need to pay 10 more months!
You should be ashamed of yourselves! I WANT MY MONEY BACK! I DO NOT WANT TONOAY 10 MORE MONTHS! ITS A RIP OFF!
Do not ever sign up for eharmony services. They scam you with cheap sign on and you can never turn them off. All four of there given numbers do not work. They are set up so Ceres card company can not refuse payment and when multiple online attempts made earlier to close acct. Failed they continue to withdraw exorbitant amounts for servives
I subscribed, then tried to cancel. Even though they wouldn't refund my subscription, I had no access to the company or my profile. Also, their phone number on the website is disconnected. How do you reach them.
Eharmony is expensive, yes. Even worse than that there are barely any profiles with pictures. When you try to get your money back because of this, it's a flat NO. If you have ZERO preferences and don't care a thing about your standards in a partner, this is definitely your site! If I could give - 0 stars, I would.
I'm totally grateful to this site because it helped me to find my sweetheart, my harmony with the world.
EHarmony offers on their website Premium light 31.20 for 6 month
When applying for this package the price is 46.95 this is what I had to agree with:
I agree that I will be charged $46.95 today and 3 subsequent monthly payment(s) of $46.95
31.20 x 6 = 187,20, so far so good. 46.95 x 3 = 140,85 + 187.80, so far so good.
But: If you agree to this package, there is no guarantee that you got a 6-month-package, because you paid only for 4 month!
I used eHarmony for a couple of years and liked it because of the matching algorithm, the detailed profiles we could write and access, and the options to tailor our matches to our preferences such as our religion. I had quite a few dates from the site. Because it was also rather pricey, I had to cancel my subscription. A couple of years later, I went back to try again. However, in the interim, they had changed their system so we could not be matched according to our religion anymore. Instead, they put in general categories like "Christian." When I found out about the change soon after I had re-subscribed, I tried to cancel and get a refund, but they wouldn't do that. I explained in written communication and over the phone that I couldn't just date and marry anybody, I had to date within my religion, that it was imperative to my beliefs, and that they had changed their site so I could no longer match with those of my faith. They said I should just write in my profile what my religion was and whom I would date. I explained that I had already tried that and guys had completely ignored it and contacted me anyway, besides which the point of the website was to help you find a love match and what they were suggesting I do instead was looking for a needle in a haystack of other religions. They were not understanding at all. I could tell the guy I was speaking with either didn't understand the problem, didn't care, or both. So I disputed the charge on my credit card. They turned around and charged me through PayPal instead. Now, years later, I thought I would give them another chance regardless because they were so helpful in the beginning and it's a popular site. I had to go through the whole setup quiz just to find out they have not changed their site back to its former excellence. If your religion is not a priority for you, you may still find the site useful, but for me and those like me who value their religion, it's lost its value.
Answer: EHarmony is over rated and it's a lot of mumbo jumbo... If you're going to pay for a site match.com is set up much better and for a free site plenty of fish is really a nice site... BillyPrewitt.com
Answer: No. They won't refund you.
Answer: On your profile where you get asked questions like whats your fav movie and so on. Replace any answers you have already left with offensive language which in turn will violate their terms and conditions and they will have no option than to close your account. As for getting a refund good luck.
Answer: I called my credit card company because I cancelled within the three day grace period. Eharmony tried to say I had waited too long and therefore would be no refund. My credit card company disputed the charges, my account was credited and I was just notified that the dispute has been approved. No more eharmony charges. Hoe things work out for you.
Answer: You can't opt out. You are locked for the whole duration of your subscription even if u dont use it anymore they will charge ur visa regardless untill ur contract expires. I have to spend 11 more months to a site I cant use coz Im a transgender woman and no man in there wants me.
Answer: Well I have but I No longer on those sites anymore because they are scammers of course and I was on match truly.com and I deactivate my account off there as well but however sometimes I register on that website match truly.com even though I'm No longer a member on that website anymore because I still see the same lady Anna I'd Number is 60780729 and she's still online right now just like any other ladies you see on that site so I go on there just to waste their time and use abusive behavior against them to teach them a lesson and I don't pay money for that so that's why if you Noticed just pay close attention to the lady Anna on match truly.com and you will see her on wishdates.com and many other dating sites so I'm just tracking these websites down and you can see the ladies are Not real and can you tell me what Normal person would stay online 24 hours a day and seven days a week that's Not a Normal person that's a Networker and they like to make all kinds of excuses for themselves so don't listen to Nonsense about what they say because if you keep talking to these fake ladies they will Robb you out of your money so pretty much wasting your time because you are Not getting anywhere but a dead end and believe me I know what I'm talking about because I was on that website for two years and believe me they are phony and so is the customer support they are fake and they think they are very intelligent human beings and they think they can manipulate people so just watch yourself and be careful because I'm still seeing the same ladies on that website today from two years ago they are Not real and they are Not looking for anyone
