I can only speak from my own exprience; they did everything as stated on the website. We recd. An email for every step the camera went through. Also talk about fast service, it states 10 days we got it back in 5 days from the day they received it. It works great... Thanks guys. 3/18/2012
I'm a satisfied customer. My new LCD screen was sent within two weeks. I made my own repair at a quarter of what I was quoted at the extened warantee place--which said, "Too bad, that's not covered." A speedy reply to my e-mailed query regarding how long it would take to ship the part would have bumped my rating up to a 4 from 3.
Sent in a Camera for a Simple repair, even called them to verify that the part was in and the repair would be conducted in a Timely manner. Spoke to the Owner who informed me that my repair would be sent out to another location but not to worry for he had verified that the part needed was in and the repair would be completed and shipped in about one week. This was as of Feb 3rd. Nothing yet. No response to multiple phone calls, messages. Etc. I will NEVER recommend or send anything else to them.
Hi James. Sorry for the delay with your repair, but there is nothing simple about it. A new CF card reader assembly has to be soldered onto your mainboard; each pin has to be un-soldered and re-soldered individually.
We sent out the board and received it back with a new CF pin assembly and it did not read cards properly. We sent it back to be rechecked and redone and again when we got it back it did not function properly. There must be a problem with the board itself, not the solder.
We are buying you a new mainboard to fix your camera, which is far above what you paid for. Once we have the new board installed and the camera working we will send it to you and email you the shipping information.

I sent in my Panasonic camera for a screen replacement which took some time apparently the part was not ordered due to the oversight of the work order. After a few e-mails and phone calls it was confirmed that the part was ordered and the camera would be fixed. It was a considerable wait time and after reading all the "scam" reviews I was getting concerned being an out of country order, I am in Canada. So I sent a final e-mail thinking that the camera was gone due to the long wait but was assured that the camera was fixed and sent. Three days later I recieved it in the mail in working condition, fixed but with a couple of small scratches on the new screen. If you are not in a hurry for your camera and are willing to wait the price of repair could not be beat and I can attest that the site is no a scam... not in my case.

Thanks Phil but I don't recall there aren't scratches on the screen, it's a 100% new LCD and it is under glass so it is protected and cannot be scratched.
I've used the site twice now and both expeeriences have been positive. I was really surprised to see the number of negative comments. Granted, service could have been a tad quicker but I wasn't in a hurry for the parts I purchased. I'll have no reservations about returning for additional repairs or purchases.
I contacted Thomas by phone and he was extremely friendly and helpful! He immediately took time to help target the repair my camera needed and proceeded to acquire the parts and update his website to accommodate my order. He was communicative throughout the process and my camera looks as good as new. I'd definitely use him again and recommend him to my friends!
Thanks Jennifer! We replaced a more expensive part on Jennifers Canon S95 than what she paid for, at no extra charge.
Do not use this site to repair your camera. My camera was sent for repair at the beginning of December and after multiple of emails and calls no response. I paid 137.00 to repair my 800.00 camera. Lost the money and the camera. :(
Lisa, your camera was returned to you in the exact same condition we received it, and we refunded your payment in full. Of course you will never tell anyone these facts. Here is the shipping information from the US Postal Service, and signature proof is available through www.usps.com

I ordered a battery door for a canon camera. I received the part I ordered and was able to quickly install it. My camera is working great now. I do agree that it is difficult to get an emailed response, but I do appreciate that Thomas got my part to me quickly after he received it.
I found this sight and ordered an LCD repair Kit for my Camcorder. The order went through fine and 10 days later I received what I ordered. I had ordered the wrong part. I E-mailed and ask if I could send it back and get a refund and could he find the right part. We E-mailed back and fourth 4 times the same day. I find the gentleman a very fine person to deal with. Very honest and true to his word.
Thanks Ken, sorry that the LCD for your camcorder is almost $100 though. Soon as your LCD makes it way back here we will refund your full payment amount. If we can help in the future please let us know.
I sent in my Rebel t3i in with a broken LCD screen, and just like his web site said it would take a about 10 days to fix it, and ship it back. He did just what he said he would do "fix it" and, ship it back in a reasonable amount of time. He was hard to get a hold of that's the only reason I give him 4 stars but he is a small business, and he only has a few guys working under him so some repairs could take longer.
It was so easy to tell from your website that I was ordering the proper screws for my camera. I received them quickly and appreciate this site. I googled the name of my camera and the word screws. Your site was listed saying, "If you are missing the screws in your camera, you are not alone!" Very cool site. Thank you.
This site help you to find a soul mate and Good business and very secure and safe to all humans looking for love and business in their good, futures..
I sent my Canon SD790 IS in for a lens cap/shutter flap repair. I was told that the repair would be done quickly and it would be shipped out promptly. Unfortunately, a mistake was made and my camera was lost. However, the owner of the site kept open communication, apologized, and pledged to replace my camera. I have just received the replacement in the mail. It was very securely wrapped in bubble wrap and shipping peanuts. I've put it through a few basic tests and all seems to be working well. I am totally satisfied with the outcome, though I would of course liked to have my original camera back. I do not feel I was scammed. Mistakes happen, but in this case, it was handled politely and professionally--and I really appreciate that!
Thank you for your understanding Melissa... I just wish the person we shipped your camera to by accident would have returned it to us. I took responsibility for the mistake and bought you a replacement out of my own pocket, and I'm glad you were happy with the final outcome.

It did take several weeks for my Nikon D40 to be repaired. Thomas's online repair status did indicate that they had received my camera and that is was awaiting repair. I realize Thomas runs a very small repair shop (now out of his home) and is overwhelmed with phone calls. I was able to get feedback from Thomas after posting to his Facebook page. The camera came back repaired (unfortunately there was a problem with some of the screws, they had to be drilled out). When I got the camera back, some of the screws were missing). The camera works great though and I am relieved. Thank you Thomas. If you have any extra screws for the back of the camera around the LCD, I would appreciate it. I need 1 for the back and 1 for the bottom. Order #9589. Thank you Thomas.
Oh Thomas, a suggestion, it would be great if you could hire a high school kid to help you with email responses or another way of updating the website on status of expected repair date. (Just a thought):-) Karen
If your looking to get a part for your camera tomorrow don, t shop here, but if your looking for probably the best price on camera parts around this is it. I purchased an lcd for a sony DCR-SR45 couldn't find it anywhere for less than $120. Here I paid $55 for the lcd block assembly. It took a couple of weeks to get the part. But worth the wait for the price, Just remember the DUDE works out of his house, the internet is worldwide, it might take awhile to process an order. They are legit!
I shipped my Olympus camera to Darntoothysam's company for repair of the LCD screen after finding them on the Internet. After waiting a month I made a couple of phone calls, needing to leave messages. When the calls weren't replied to I e-mailed and was messaged back that the part took longer to get in and he was short of help. I now have my camera and am very happy with the repair. I am also very pleased with the cost of the repair. I would use this company again and recommend them to friends and family. Just be prepared for a wait. I'm guessing that he works out of his home and he probably has a great deal of business due to his repairs and parts being very reasonable cost-wise.
Excellent and acurate repair of the digital camera I accidentaly drop kicked. Very reasonable pricing for repairs probably not available elsewhere. Because each repair for them is specific and must be fully analyized, patience is a small price to pay for this fine, competent work. I'll definately use them again.
Thank you for your comments Hubert! I'm sorry the first time we repaired your Canon SD780 lens and sent it back that it wasn't 100% and we had to replace the lens assembly for you again under warranty. Thank you for patience with the repair process and we are glad that you are happy with our service!
After a month of trying to reach this Thomas Drayton (even got in contact with him at his job at Keller Williams Realty, said he would immediately look into my problem) but never heard back. He even deleted my reviews left on his website, the page that states they do not steal or scam people. Darntoothysam.com is a fraudulent, scamming site. Some people may have gotten lucky with using them, but they do not care about there customers in the SLIGHTEST. He may reply to this post saying I am not a real customer. I have an order ID, and a receipt sent to me by his website. I tried to be a customer, but this is shoddy, shady, business ethics, if he is indeed a real business. He bashes everyone that tries to get resolutions, and I won't have it. Thomas Drayton, thanks for giving the little business owner a bad rap. Please, shut your doors, take down your website, and stop making people fight to get something they paid for. So what you don't have a dam call center, or you don't price gouge the little people. I don't give a dam. At least those price gouging companies follow thru with what they are in business for.
I have requested Paypal to get my money back. I am within the 45 day window, and I am sure I will get it back without problem, since he doe'snt pay attention to his customers, he probly won't even reply.
I'm sorry that I had to give it one star, but it would'nt allow less than at least 1.
I had 2 Canon Powershot SD790IS camera, that had an identical broken part. This part would have been easily replaced even by me. I contacted Canon, they quoted me $175.00 each to replace the broken piece. Almost the cost of the camera! I found darntoothysam through a Google search. I didn't see the part I needed on online so I called and described what I needed. He didn't have 2 of the same part in stock, so he sent me one part and about 3 weeks later I received the other replacement part. It cost me a total of $14 vs $350.00 to repair these two cameras. They are very knowledgeable and extremely fair. I will continue to recommend them and do business with them.
Thanks Suzy for your review!
Those darn SD790s should have a recall for the side screws falling out and Canon should fix them for free. Unfortunately we go through so many they go on backorder with the national parts distributor, hence the delay with your parts.
I'm glad you got your cameras fixed, and I do hope you remembered to put some Locktite on the screws to hold them in this time.

My Cannon screen broke while I was on vacation. When I took it to be repaired camera shops told me it was cheaper and easier to buy a new one. I didn't want a new camera, I like mine. I found Darn Toothy Sam on line, sent the camera and got it back repaired, MUCH cheaper than a new one--all as promised.
Answer: Dan, please stop with your lies. You are not even a customer of ours! If you are, what is your order number, post it here. I have no orders from anyone named Dan that aren't completed and shipped. Yes, I run my business from my home. I have customers drop by every week to give us cameras to repair, then they come back and pick them up and pay for our service. They are very happy with us. There are other companies that have started from a home as well. One or two that come to mind are Amazon.com and Apple. Are they scams? Zkarlo.com is not my company. I live in a city of 50,000 people, there are plenty of other businesses here. I have never stolen anything from anyone, and if you were a real person you would tell me what your order number is so I can figure out what your complaint is with us. You are a fake name made up just to slander us, but I have no idea who you are or why you are so mad. The only way I would know is if you told me who you really are. Anybody can make up fake names and leave fake reviews here, doesn't mean it's true. Thomas

Thanks Bob we appreciate your taking the time to leave a comment! I am going to start answering emails at night after hours to try and get us caught up and stay caught up.
