Being charged $12 monthly service. Had the required 5k in linked savings account. My biweekly $1600 deposits no longer count. RIPP OFF.
Poor Customer service! Time to join a credit union!
Do not go with this bank stay away I have been with them for over 20 years I wanted to refinance with another bank I had one late payment last month I called them to ask them to please take it off so I could go forward and they told me they can't do anything for me it wasn't like I missed a payment avoid this bank the the plague
I've had to call Chase twice now for mistakes that they made. One was a travel error made through their travel rewards, and one was a double auto payment from a credit card. The problem is that not one of the customer service reps can look at a WHOLE problem. There's one person for credit cards, one person for checking, and a different one for debit. Great. So when the chase auto pay double charges me and overdrafts my chase checking account, I have to go through literally 6 individuals who can't see the whole picture. The asshat of the group was in the checking department. He implied that if I gave accurate information, then my experience would have been better. Then he just got super $#*!y when I asked him what was inaccurate. He didn't seem to understand that I had to call different lines to address this simple issue. 30 minutes in and 6 people down and guess what?! I have to call back tomorrow to address the overdraft charge that they created. Wow. Leaving this $#*! show immediately.
Peace out chase. Also, the name of the asshat was $#*!ij. Is that even a name? If it is fire him.
Hello Chase Bank has removed funds out of my account claiming I authorized two 500.00 dollar transactions which I have no knowledge of and now refuse to replace the 1000.00 saying im at fault I tryed to call them while the tranaction was in progress to let them know i did'nt authorize this and please put a stop to this and they still allowed it TO GO THROUGH and im the one paying for it now KNOW way is this right
Tried to call Chase cred cd support to reverse a charge from a scammer charging a high fee for signing up for TSA precheck. TSA advised that these guys were scammers, and it costs nothing to sign up for Precheck appt. Chase rep basically said I'm screwed. Lady directed me to waste my time trying to contact the scammer, and unless I do then they won't initiate any dispute. OF COURSE THE SCAMMER'S NOT GOING TO ANSWER ME AND REFUND MY CARD! The only place worse than these guys is Bank of America.
Chase has been horrendous for our small business/nonprofit. We recieved a donation that they flagged, and therefore froze all our accounts. When asked how we could unfreeze the accounts, they said they needed a bank verification for the check which we provided. They told us it would be unfrozen, but it was not. Then, they said we needed a phone number for the donors to verify the maker of the check. When that was provided they would not accept the phone number as valid, because they said Chase bank doesn't recognize that number as valid. They said the only way we could get unfrozen was for the donor to visit a branch and bring two forms of identification. We then panicked and had the donor come into the branch, show two forms of identification, and they said we would no longer be frozen. Then we called back, we were denied the request to be unfrozen because they said they needed business documents instead of two forms of identification. Our bank account now may close because of Chase's INSANE policies that continually change, all because we received a donation.
Started an application for the chase sapphire "reserve" but realized on page 2 is was the preferred (so this was my error). I immediately closed out without signing the electronic signature part and went to the correct card...however, a notification email of a new card (the preferred) came across my phone a few seconds later.
Within 30 seconds I was on the phone with the company and spoke with 6 people. The 3rd lady almost fixed it but apparently is was processed while I was on the phone with her and then it was as if I had signed my future 4 years with Chase away...
Option 1: delete the card which hits your credit and wait 4 years to apply for a new card in order to get the benefits
Option 2: keep the new card and swap in a year so lose points and don't get benefits from the reserve for a year
If I signed a legal document, this would be different, but I hadn't performed that yet. And yet because the computer processed it a HUMAN (who created computers) can NOT override it.
So I'm stuck with losing about $600+ in benefits or more as a result of Chase setting up their company so humans have ZERO control. I don't think I have ever in my life been so mind blown with such poor customer service options.
Tried to transfer money between accounts but couldn't and CS lady investigated and said it was their system so have to wait. Next tried to login on again to look at something and webstie said wrong password. No, it wasn't so called CS and another person argues with me and then hangs up without trying to help. GO BANK ELSEWHERE. I MAY BE DOING JUST THAT.
Jade has the worst customer support. Their ATMs also work based on ET so if you hit your withdrawal limit on the previous day according to PT, it will not let you take more money the next day.
I started my 60 (business) day refi with Chase in February, fast forward to April and 2 days before closing, the loan gets denied. It gets denied for the same issue I brought up to my loan officer in the beginning of the process to make sure there was not going to be an issue & before I had to pay the non-refundable $500 application fee. I was told both parties spoke (Chase & 2nd Lien Holder), and everything was fine. That is when I paid the $500 fee to move forward with the loan. Now April and 1 week to close, the loan-officer in charge of my file leaves Chase & I was assigned another representative. They move the closing to the following Friday, then 2 days before closing I receive an email from my Chase representative that my loan was denied for the same issue, I was told was fine 3 months before. Only a sorry was all I got. Something I inquired about from the beginning to make sure before we started this long tedious process. I GOT DENIED. Not only did I lose three months with Chase, now I have to start the process all over again with another company and have to suffer the high-rate increase that is being offered. Rate I got with Chase 4.9% & rate now 5.5%. Chase won't even return my $500 for their mistakes.
Opened a new acct but got called by fraud who stated to go in the branch to show ID. Did that then was told to wait until I received my debit card. When I received my debit card, I was told that my account would be re-opened two days later. My account was still closed and I was told it would be open the next day. The following week the account was still closed and I was told it would be open the next day, then the representative told me that she would check on it and call me within 24 hours. Guess who did not receive a call in 24 hours and my accounts are still closed. I never got to use the account and it was closed before I even received my debit card. I am more frustrated because I am a Chase credit card holder which means they should have my information but to close my new checking and savings account is crazy even after I provided you all the information that you requested and verified my identity. You hit a switch to close the account but it takes the entire customer service team to reopen it? I'm just going to go to a different bank.
At 54 years old, I've had the privilege of banking add more than one bank. Bank of America, Wells Fargo, I find chase to be number one and it's online banking superior To all.
In 2017, I completed their Balance Liquidation Program. My husband and I experienced financial hardship and I was late on some payments. When I first enrolled in their program several years ago, my phone representative advised me that any negative items on my credit report would be modified to show as current. My credit card APR was exuberant and it was difficult to meet the minimum payment. Needless to say, their rep lied to me and although I have escalated this issue to CFPB, they will not adhere to their verbal agreement although I successfully finished their program. Each of their executive banking reps has back peddled and none are accepting responsibility for their rep lying to me. This situation happened with another creditor and they immediately assisted me and made things right. My husband and I have been Chase banking customers for over 10 years, and my request is justified.
Do not apply for any of their credit cards. They are notorious for lying to their customers and if you file a complaint with the BBB or any other entity, they reply just to save face. One of their specialists left a vm message that they had reached a resolution; it was a lie. Very condescending and shady, to say the least. Their letter clearly states that they will not provide any resolution. I will continue to share my experience onward with all of our friends and family so they are not subjected to the negligence and "miscommunication" that I have personally experienced.
This is a problem of shotty management. I was in banking management for several years, in no time have I seen such irresponsible, no back up plan careless management. I tried to use the Zelle product to transfer money to a person that worked on my car. Chase locked my account as to where at login it said your account has been locked for suspicious activity and it cannot be unlocked until you call this number. So the first time I called, the recording said wait time is over 50 minutes. I waited 78 minutes until finally hanging up. I called again and it gave me a choice to get a call back and I would not lose my place in line so I did this. No call back ever. In future calls this option no longer existed. On more calls I just let it run ALL DAY, IT JUST KEPT SAYING YOUR CALL IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US. So it can't be reached. Does corporate management know about this? Or do they even care? They have a large amount of customer reps in the Philippines which experienced a recent cyclone that took out a large part of the communications. OK so I understand that but where is the backup plan? Nowhere, Chase operates on thin ice and all the ice fisherman just drowned. Shame on you Chase Bank, you get a big zero rating. Now what am I going to do?
Twice now my debit card was compromised and Chase immediately canceled my card saying a new one would be sent. Over 2 weeks and nothing! Key Bank overnighted my new card but as large as Chase is, THEY ARE TO CHEAP TO DO THE SAME!
My debit card was hacked and Chase did well to notify me and cancel the card. It's been 7 days and no replacement card, which should have
Been overnighted. Oth
Ers who bank with them have said it took over 2 weeks to get their replacement. I don't use credit cards, so my hands are tied until the replacement arrives. NOT IMPRESSED!
No wonder they have such a poor rating
This bank is an absolute joke. They'd kill your kittens if it made them a few dollars. Bank with anyone else before these clowns
They cut my limit in half over a 2 day late payment ( I was in hospital) all payments for 2 years were on time and more than double the minimum
I will be closing my account when my paycheck clears, and encourage everyone to switch from Chase. This is the 3rd time a check deposit of mine will be on hold for 7+ days. My employer's HR guy got a hold of Enterprise Bank. They said adamantly that there is no issue to release my funds. Chase is a selfish greedy financial institution. My daughter's birthday is ruined because they are holding my paycheck hostage; I now owe late fee's to several services. I spoke today with Michael who told me "We cannot request anything with Enterprise Bank, because they won't communicate since we(chase) are not their customer." So I repeated what I had been told by a lady rep the day prior - June 9th(Fri) - "If your funds are not available by 3pm today(fri) then they should be tomorrow morning(today/Sat)". That was after a 15-20min hold for the lady rep to contact Enterprise Bank. Michael called me a liar by saying "she never said that; that is not accurate. Check the recording I said. Plus I responded to the lady rep with "I have never heard of a bank depositing funds on a weekend" but was reassured by her. What a dirty way to conduct business.
I am aware the longer you hold funds, the more days you have to profit off them. Chase's actions, policies, and algorithms are morally criminal. I never expected this from the largest bank in America.
My husband did a mobile deposit on 2/4/2022 Chase want to put a hold on his check till the 15th when we have little one and bills let's be clear all there employees do is transfer you over been on hold 4hours and I'm pissed THIS IS THE WORSE BANK EVER I DONT RECCOMMENED THESE HEARTLESS SOB PEOPLE I WILL BE TAKING BUISNESS ELSE WHERE! $#*! you chase
After 20 and plus years off banking whit them today I decide to close all my account! This MANAGER "Christina" she keep me on hold for more than 15 minutes whit out care about my charge problem!
Answer: Offered as a finance for auto loan... I am seriously thinking of changing banks..
Answer: Because they can and they don't care. The customer service outside of the branch is non-existent. They truly don't care about anything other than the amount of money they can collect from the interest they can collect from our money.
