Customer service
August 9, 2023

Chase is a lousy bank. They closed out my checking and savings account without giving me a verbal reason other than its our right to close it. They left the credit card open that was nice of them being they charge interest. They are rotten. I called having issues with zelle transfer and nobody would give me a straight answer other we will transfer you to this department then that department, oh brother. Then I get frustrated with them telling them how I feel and soon after both accounts closed. I have been a loyal customer for many years. I call and ask if I can go to branch office to get balance and they said no they will mail you a check in august 16 one week after today. I have no access to my money for 2 weeks because of these idiots. Now I have to wait another week plus business days for mailing. These people are low life low customer service they don't care about there customers. It's good thing I get out of this company. The credit card of course won't be their long either. Your company stinks.

Don't TOUCH This Bank
November 19, 2022

Worst bank ever. ATM's rarely work and the employees don't care. ONE teller line open. Meanwhile there are 5-6 people in suits sitting near desks laughing it up. When I asked them why they didn't help the customers they said ''We're not tellers, we're bankers.'' Tells you all you need to know about this bank. LOTS of help starting a new account, but after that you stand in line forever for your banking business.

Branch Manager, old lady with blonde hair, is something that rhymes with Witch. She could care less if people stand in line for days. All she does is the Business lane of the drive-thru and it's never busy.

Stay away. There's good reason this branch gets 2 stars. They treat their customers like garbage.

My new bank is exceptional. Lots of tellers and happy Branch Managers who are happy to help you. Witch broad could learn a lesson from them.

I believe this branch will close soon. Not soon enough.

Also be aware they can close your account and keep YOUR money. Don't bother calling, customer service is a joke. All they do is transfer you 3-5 times and the end result is either a lie or they can't help you. I filed with BBB to get MY money. They close my account and the money is no longer theirs. They think they're above it all and the estimate now to get MY money is 3-4 weeks. SO glad I'm away from this bank and it's Nazi Branch Manager.

Messed up my credit
August 3, 2022

Several months later, I contributed to a GoFundMe for a child with a devastating progressive neurological illness, a kindergartner at my daughter's new school, whose family was raising funds for a new wheelchair and out of state medical care. I made the payment through my PayPal account. I'd forgotten that it was connected to the credit card I'd paid off. Because I didn't know I'd charged something on it, I didn't make payments to that card. Chase claims they sent me letters. I know I did not receive any. I'm very careful about checking my mail. I pick it up from my mailbox and open it immediately. I pay bills right away. I would never have ignored a late notice. I also didn't receive any calls or texts from Chase until the text that alerted me the account was overdue when it was too late. I'm not sure why they didn't call or text be earlier when clearly they were able to do so. Chase will not help me remove the late payments from my credit report. I'm so angry that I've charitable donation has messed up my credit during this all around crappy year. Chase is a terrible bank.

I have been a Chase card holder for several years. I currently have 2 credit cards with them.
Each year I call to speak with their non existent retention department, or so called "Loyalty Department".
And each year I am read a script that informs me just how fortunate I am to have their benefit rich cards.
Speaking to a supervisor this last time was an exercise in frustration. This man was none too happy to close my accounts explaining that this is a business and he couldn't waive or credit the $190 in fees these 2 cards carry.
I explained that Citi is very accommodating and creative when it comes to keeping its customers satisfied.
I am very happy w/ the way I am treated as a consumer at Citi and I've been with them for far less time.
Chase is not consumer friendly. It clearly comes down to $$$ with them. Too bad they can't understand that people share their experiences and if enough people walk then it will have an affect on their precious bottom line.
I'll be leaving Chase because of this.

On December 29th my husband and I left our vehicle at an executive airport that offered long term parking. When we returned 2 months later we found our car had been mistakenly towed and after 28 days Chase Bank retrieved the car and sent it to auction. We were never notified by the bank that this had occurred and we were not home to receive notifications from the tow company. Chase bank refused to tell us the location of our car for 4 days. We paid 2,100.00 to get the car back and had to drive 4 hours to find it was being prepared for auction the following day. The car was cleaned out and we lost 850.00 worth of personal belongings. The car was damaged as well. To make matters worse it has destroyed our perfect credit rating dur to chase listing us as a repossession. We are set up with automatic payments and have never been delinquent. We just received a paper bill for April and they are charging us another 45.00 repossession fee. Chase bank refuses to help us any further. This bank does not care about their customers.

I have been with Chase Bank for four years and have received so many fees that are unexceptionable. Over the past few months I have gotten over draft fees even though I had money in my accounts so I called to link my accounts and they told me this will fix the fees that have been applied and no more worries. Fast forward one month I received four more overdraft fees so I called and spoke with a manager and she said that if a check pulls from saving it will not draft from my checking's. I said great I am glad you told me this because the representative did not say that at all and I got more fees due to this. So she did reverse some but said that was the max she could fix at one time. She also had to call her manager to transfer funds to my other account because it said I did not have enough in my account when I clearly did as I and the manager saw that I did. So they had the higher manager manually transfer fund and during this it created another check to bounce and more fees. I called once again and spoke with a manager right away and he says that I have reached my max reversal for 12 months for curtsy reversals. I say but this was made due to there mistake. He said sorry nothing I can do about it. I do not recommend this bank at all! Customer service is horrible and they will charge so many unnecessary fees that a credit Union will not. Save your money and the headache and go with another financial institute!

Over the course of just 2 weeks- Chase bank confused me with our newly deceased minor child, rubbed salt in the wound of losing a child by making me jump through hoops to prove I was still alive… THEN put an extra long hold on a check, forcing us to scramble to pay for our child's burial, bounce a few payments- thus putting MORE stress on us… THEN they put ANOTHER hold on a paycheck deposit… as I write this- we have a deceased child, less than $30 in our account and nearly $5k waiting to be put in our account that's been waiting to be "confirmed" for going on 2 weeks!
All from a bank "too big to fail"! Ridiculous!

Well I've been with Chase for overall about 9 years. I want to say you have to be very careful because they're their team look at your purchases through computer investigation only. So if you use your thumbprint to log on to your account while you're looking stuff up that was not you and it was made around or about the same time, that's how they decided that if is not fraud or not. So they really can't tell if it's you or not atwho made those purchases and you will not get your money back. I lost over 1,100 this time. Several transactions happened while I was on the phone trying to explain the first transaction. So I think you need to be very careful having a bank account with chase, whether you have a lot of money or not because they cannot really tell if it's true fraud or not. You will not get your money back. This happened on more than two occasions. I was trying to give Chase a chance, but I'll definitely close my account and try to find something better. No one can afford to lose a dollar much less thousands because a bank needs to be better then the criminals and keep you money truly safe. Beware.

I have an Amazon credit card I started a dispute when Amazon first made credit for an item that was never shipped and then posted it back
Chase Bank has the most incompetent staff for disputes I was talking first with one employee and then with his supervisor The conversation ended up as settled I can't be charged for an item that was not shipped I got emails today requesting to call them back since they need more information (?) They also sent me a form via their site requesting to confirm if willing to continue with the dispute and requesting more information Chase should request to the merchant proof of shipping tracking number and confirmation of delivery Honestly I do think about closing my personal, and business accounts and all the credit cards with Chase

Awful
November 22, 2022

I opened a Chase checking account last week with the foolish idea that I could deposit some checks I had and then use them to pay a Chase credit card bill. I opened the account online, then deposited five checks. To this day I still don't know how this triggered a fraud alert. Nobody at Chase can give me a consistent response. The account is new. You deposited multiple checks. You opened the account online. Something is scratched out on one check. Another looks like a third party check (It's not.)
The account is now restricted and they are trying to get ME to help them verify the checks. Its not enough that all the checks are good. The have to speak to the issuer of each check. In the meantime, my credit card bill is due in two days and they are now almost guaranteed to collect interest, if not a late fee, because they won't even release the money from the one check they've managed to verify in FOUR DAYS since I finally called them to try to figure what's wrong. I finally asked them to just cancel the deposits and let me put them in another bank. They can't do that. Just tell me what I did wrong! The last person I spoke to hung up on me. Never again will I deal with Chase Bank.

I just opened my account with chase and literally closed it in a 2 week span. The closed my account without notifying me and when I called they told me they couldn't do anything about it and that I would have to go to a branch to open it back up. I work from 7am to 5pm and the nearing bank to me is 30mins always and it closes at 5pm! Then when I explained to her that I was never contacted she got quiet and didn't say anything on the phone for 5 minutes. Piece of $#*! workers and a piece of $#*! bank.

I applied for the Chase Amazon Visa Signature card since i do a lot of online shopping off the Amazon.com website. I got a $150 Amazon gift card as a welcome bonus from Chase. It is a virtual gift card which was added to my Amazon account. I tried to use it but when i select something to buy i get a message saying that they don't ship to, or wont ship to my address.
The site says nothing about my payment being declined, they are silent about that, i am being refused because Amazon says they cant deliver to my address. Amazon always used to ship to me, right up until the bonus gift card was added as default payment method. Nobody else has a problem shipping my address. I have a normal unremarkable address thats been on the map for over 50 years and these past few years Amazon packages have had no problem coming to me. All of a sudden Amazon wont ship to me anymore. The only thing that has changed is my payment method, that is the gift card i got from the credit card company which was pre-loaded onto my Amazon account. I tried a bunch of items to see if its just the jeans i wanted but its everything even stuff I don't want im getting a message that Amazon wont ship to my address. No other vendor claims they cant ship to me it is only Amazon. When Amazon added the gift card to my payment method i cant order anything because no matter what i select off the site i get a message that shipping is unavailable to my address. Thank you Chase for nothing.

Applied for a Chase credit card in October 2021 with an offer for 40,000 SW Air miles and a $100 statement credit after charging $1,000 to card in 3 months with a charge of $69 for annual card membership. Met all the criteria but never received the $100 statement credit. Called Chase customer service on 2/04/22 and was told they would submit an inquiry to the group that investigates because the offer processed for me was different than my invitation # (which I applied with). Rep said I would receive a written response in the mail. Never received a response thru the mail so called again on 2/24/22, was told my issue was denied because I was given another offer of 3% back on dining instead of a $100 statement credit even though those were not the terms I applied under. With COVID, I rarely eat out and would never have selected that over the statement credit. Told it would be resubmitted for review and I would receive a response via mail. Never received a letter so called 3/15/22. Rep said: my request was denied, there was no one I could speak to about it and it couldn't be submitted again for review. Bait and switch which is fraud. Remember Wells Fargo?

Bad For Small Businesses
February 25, 2022

In late 2021, I opened a business account knowing that I would make several large wire transfers both domestically and internationally. I went with Chase thinking that, since they were a big bank, transfers would occur seamlessly. Unfortunately, they are not. A 5 digit international transfer, that I personally approved, was flagged as fraud. No matter how hard I tried to tell them that I did send the money, they seemed absolutely sure of it.

There was a five-digit deposit in the account that was able to cover the international transfer. Since the deposit was more than the transfer, the balance was still positive at the time the account went under investigation. Now I am being told that the account is in the negative. Apparently, the deposit used to cover the transfer has been returned and the transfer itself has yet to be recovered.

Previous to this, I was told that the investigation was completed and a cashier's check of the remaining positive balance would be mailed. Now, for reasons really unknown to me, the account is back in the negative.

All of this was told to me after over 2+ hours of waiting on the phone. They cannot tell me when this will all end. I need that money but it is held up through no fault of my own.

If you are a small business, especially if your account is young, I do not suggest banking with Chase. You could be flagged over a simple wire transfer and have much-needed money held up for no reason at all. I do not plan to bank with them ever again.
