I signed up from an advertised link stating that the $49.00 set up fee would be waived. They immediately approved the account. There was no indication that my bank account would be charged any money. On day 2, my account was hit with $74.81. I called Authorize.net and they were RUDE and UNCARING! Do not do business with these jokers. Very unprofessional!
I sent four requests for clarification on their pricing structure. Every request was answered with a generic "click here to apply" or a cut and paste of their vague and confusing Pricing breakdown. I emailed the "Inside Sales Rep" as to why she was repeatedly dodging my questions, still waiting to hear back. Buyer beware... they have Numerous hits on the BBB and my initial correspondence with the company is a good reflection as to why they have so many complaints.
I recently had an account with Quick Commerce, a reseller for Authorize.net. QC was using a branded site for Authorize.net. After I cancelled with QC, I started receiving past due bills from Authorize.net. They claim I needed to cancel directly with them. This seems fraudulent either on the part of Authorize.net or the merchant gateway service Quick Commerce. When I tried to cancel via the branded website, I found there was no way to contact them other than by phone and when I tried to call, there was a recording "QC is not available". And it's not possible to remove your banking info--so I just changed the account number. Authorize.net used to be considered a premier service. I'm still using them with my new merchant service but I'm switching. (And they know I have a new account with them, but they don't care.)
Someone named Aaron Campbell is trying to get me to sign up right now so he can use his credit card to pay me. The whole thing sounds like a scam since he claims he has no way to pay me except through this site. He also says he will reimburse me for my sign up fee.
I sign up with them, and you takes so long to setup my account, I tried to call customer service and it is a waste of time, and next thing you know I get a bill for 77.23 for service I never used, because they fail to setup my account (still in demo mode charged $77.23
For a service in demo mode, which is use less, if it is not Live (active)
They have a lot of hidden cost you never tell you about.
I end up using paypal pro...
I was not approved to buy online cause they flagged my disability card as fraud and still ain't got my money back. I have contacted the BBB and my attorney General over this and you all should to they need shut down. Its a scam and targets small business and the disabled. You will regret using them just saying.
I stopped service with this company even had to have my bank step in to stop them from take no money from my account. Then they have the nerve to turn our company into a collection agency! They will be hearing from my lawyers! Dont use this company for any services if I could give them a zero rating I would.
We wanted to try authorize.net and signed up. Integrating their software into our cart program was difficult and we decided to cancel before we ever used their services. We were charged about $100 but only got half back after canceling. What a rip-off.
WORST COMPANY EVER! I registered on their website and then they asked me to sign a paper document containing my credit card details. DOn't do it! They'll charge you even after you've closed your account with them. Don't trust that company whatever happens.
My merchant account was closed suddenly and i was told that all processed payments would be released after 120 days. Ok, annoying but that's fine. After 120 days I call and they said there are no funds associated with my account. WTF?!
Stay away from this company.
First off they connected me with a terrible merchant that was hiding my profits and claimed to charge 10% that theyd give back in 6 months which they never do, they just charge you 10% ontop of all of the other fees. Secondly when I cancelled with them because I had to, they randomly started another recurring payment of 19.95 even after I got the cancellation confirmation in my email... How does that make any sense, f***in frauds...
I have had an authorize.net account for over 15 years. In business for the same duration. I recently signed up for e-check services to give my customers the choice the use their routing and bank info to make payments. After review they approved my request. I processed one charge for $ 1000. 00. I waited 7 days and the funds were not deposited in my account. I called them, and they told me to continue to process payments so that they could see regular activity and the funds would be deposited in 7 days. I processed another $ 4000. 00 in charges. Then they sent me an email cancelling my e-check account, no warning or explanation. Told me to email them in 90 days to ask to get my money back... called them. They underwriters are arrogant, rude, self serving, and clearly could care less. As a small business owner during Covid I need those funds. I have already provided my services to my customers, yet now have to wait 90 days, with no interest to get MY MONEY. This is a sleezy company that you should stay away from. I have also contacted my states district attorney to look into their practices. They are criminals
Be careful, they charge you for the service you never asked for or used without your permission, and if you contact them they will say "it is your responsibility to check your card and make sure no one stills your money"
This company is a fraud they charge you after you close your account with them and tell you they will refund you but don't do it. Then after they finally refund you 3 months later they try to charge you again. This company is a team of scammers. Use any other merchant service except these frauds.
Don't waste your time with these clowns. They don't even have the wherewithall to answer a simple email or phone call. I have wasted weeks trying to get my account switched over to my new company from my old one.
I started to use PAYPAL in my business instead of Authorized dot net. I never got my money from them when I used their service for 2 weeks. After that, they did not like my business model and canceled the contract 2 weeks later. 6 months later I get a call from a collections agency saying I owe them money! Are you kidding me. You never paid me the money I earned through my store! They made constant excuses always and I never was paid but now I owe them money? The wait times to speak to someone is ridiculous. The owners of authorize dot net should be embarrassed. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. Stay clear unless you want a bigger headache on your hand!
Fees, fees, and more fees. When you decide you have enough there is substantial cancellation.
Service is horrible. They dont respond but the fees keep accumulating while you wait for a response. If you follow up aggressively, you will not get the answers you need.
I will never work with company again.
If you need to change info on your account, be prepared to wait months. They do not email you and even if you send the required info, they do not respond promptly. You will have to call them to follow up on your case or just sit there in limbo, thinking they are working on your problem when they are not. Good luck.
I signed up with autorize.net in March as I needed to accept payments for my new online stores. I never sold anything in my stores and 4 months later I realize that autorize never provided any services. They are still "approving" my account and it's in test mode. However, for these months they have charged my account monthly. I have also had to pay monthly fees for the online stores and other fees (eg Amazon). I have lost ca 1300 $ on this.
WORST COMPANY EVER! Do not work with this company! They are going to charge you many hidden fees directly from your credit cards. What's worse. They misinform you and without sending you invoices you will be charged in the background.
Customer care and Sales agents don't care about you. This is one greedy company. All they want is your money. They don't care about you. If you have a problem you need to call very expensive hotlines to wait and then get no answer.
Again: They do illegal stuff and charge you money without your signature which you will never get back!
Answer: I think they are a scam! I filled out an application didn't get ANY service from them as they said I needed an ITIN (I'm Canadian) then proceeded to take money out of my account for 10 months before I noticed UGH! I cancelled payments now they have sent to collections WTF! Do NOT use them they are scammers!
Answer: Stay away from these crooks they will rob you.
